OPI Shrek Collection: Ogre The Top Blue

OPI Ogre The Top Blue (3 coats)

Oh how I love blue polishes. I think my absolute favorites are cornflower blues, but these bright blue cremes such as Ogre The Top are really beautiful, too. I was actually surprised this one dried as dark as it did. The only thing that would have made this better is if it would have been opaque in 2 coats instead of 3. Hey, we can't always get what we want. Until next time, don't forget a good basecoat....

What basecoat do you suggest Audrey? I have a Sally Hansen one that I normally use, but I'd like to know what one is your favorite?

Since I change my polish so often, I often use nail treatments as basecoats. Right now I have been using Jessica Cosmetics Bend Don't Break and this is my holy grail product right now. Do you see how crazy long my nails are? They sent me it to try and I wasn't using it every day so I wasn't see the results. Now that I have been using it regularly, my nails are great! The downside is that it's expensive. I also love Barielle treatments for basecoats. These are also pretty expensive online, but you can often find them for really cheap at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc. And finally, I like the Anchor basecoat from Zoya as a regular old basecoat that isn't a treatment. The only one I've come across that I don't care for so much is the one from Seche Vite. If I get the chance I'll try to make a post about my favorite basecoats, treatments, and topcoats.
