Right on the Nail ~ Morgan Taylor Spring 2015 Cinderella Swatches and Review: Party at the Palace and Watch Your Step, Sister

*press samples*

Happy Friday! My family is coming into town today, so I'll have a busy weekend. What are your plans? Today I have another 2 polishes from the Cinderella Collection.

Morgan Taylor Party at the Palace (3 coats)

Up first we have Party at the Palace which is a light blue color with lots of golden shimmer. Definitely no hidden shimmer here! I think this is my favorite of the collection. The formula was a bit sheer and needed 3 easy coats for full opacity. No worries, it's totally worth it.

Morgan Taylor Watch Your Step, Sister (2 coats)

Next is Watch Your Step, Sister which is a bright pink creme. Yeah, there are 2 pinks in here, but I wish there was a green or silver instead. There's nothing wrong with Watch Your Step, Sister but it's not very unique. On the bright side, this only needed 2 coats for full coverage.

I'm happy to report that you can now buy Morgan Taylor polishes online without a license from Loxa Beauty for $8.50 each (the Cinderella Collection is available now). You can keep up with Morgan Taylor on their Facebook and Twitter pages as well.

Right on the Nail ~ Morgan Taylor Spring 2015 Cinderella Collection Swatches and Review: Ella of a Girl and My Carriage Awaits

*press samples*

Tonight I have 2 of the 6 new Cinderella-inspired polishes from Morgan Taylor. In case you didn't know, there is going to be a new live action Cinderella movie coming out from Disney, so Morgan Taylor teamed up with them to make this collection. There are some special polishes in this collection, so let's go ahead and get started.

Morgan Taylor Ella of a Girl (3 coats)

Ella of a Girl is a Peptol Bismol pink creme. So yeah, I think I have a bunch of polishes like this, and is the least unique of the collection. This one needs to be built up slowly with 3 easy coats to be opaque.

Morgan Taylor My Carriage Awaits (3 coats)

I'm really loving My Carriage Awaits which is a peach/coral shimmer. Yes, it is hard to see the shimmer, but if you click the images to make them bigger, you should be able to see it. It is definitely more obvious in real life. This also needed 3 coats, but still applied well.

Right on the Nail ~ NailNation 3000 Swatches and Review: Matters of the Heart

NailNation 3000 Matters of the Heart (2 coats)

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I've been feeling under-the-weather. It seems like this is going around a lot. We also have been hit with bad weather with a winter weather warning for over 6 inches of snow (it may not seem like much, but it is for the southerners down here).

Anyway, I have a limited edition polish that is still available from the indie brand NailNation 3000. I'm really happy to try this brand since this is my first bottle from them. I am really impressed with this magenta/red linear holographic polish! It had great pigmentation in just 2 coats and a nice strong rainbow finish. I am a little shocked by the $15 price tag, but this is due to the fact that I got this in a mystery bag and not through NatilNation 3000. While I do think this is pretty, I would try to find a cheaper option through other brands like KBShimmer, etc. Would you pay $15 for this?

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Gelaze Swatches and Review: Coral Star

China Glaze Gelaze Coral Star (2 coats plus topcoat)

I hope your weekend is going well so far. I've seen that the Northeast is being hit yet again with another storm. If you're getting this, definitely stay safe and warm! Today I have an interesting gel polish to review from China Glaze called Gelaze. Unlike regular China Glaze bottles, these have a white cap and an opaque bottle that closely matches the color inside. The topcoat has the usual black color and a silverish opaque bottle. I believe that the brush is the same as the regular polishes which I like. I chose the color Coral Star because I don't own this color in their regular lineup. The Gelaze colors come in 35 different hues that match their most popular colors such as For Audrey and Ruby Pumps to name a few.

You will need an LED lamp, the Gel-n-Base in One (the color), and Gelaze topcoat. One problem I had was with the application the first time I tried it. The formula is a bit watery and thick at the same time which is weird. I ended up taking it off and retrying it a few days later which was a good idea. I added 1 coat of gel polish to clean nails and then cured it for 30 seconds under LED light followed by a second coat and curing. I finished off the look with 1 coat of topcoat, making sure to wrap the tips to prevent (or at least slow down) tipwear. I wore these several days (surprisingly) and I didn't really need to take another picture because my nails basically looked exactly the same. The removal process is basically the same as any other gel polish and that is to break the seal with a file and soak the nails for 10 minutes using the foil method. After this, all of the gel broke free from my nails and I didn't have to do any peeling.

They say you can wear these for 2 weeks, but I don't have nearly the time to do that kind of test. I do find these to be much faster to put on than other brands such as Gelish, Red Carpet, etc. I still like this gel polish, despite my application problems at first, because I find that to be the case with most gel products. I was told that you can use the topcoat over any regular polish to make it last longer, but I haven't had the chance to test this out. You can find these at Sally Beauty Supply for $10.99 each (with their Beauty Card..and these are for the 0.33 fl. oz. bottles instead of the 0.5 you see above). You can get the topcoat for free until 2/28/15 with the purchase of a Gelaze polish. This is a great deal, so if you are interested in trying these out, I would definitely do so before the end of the month.

Right on the Nail ~ Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag Swatches and Review: Aurora

Rainbow Honey Aurora (3 coats)

Happy Friday! Today's polish comes from the Rainbow Honey mystery bag (only $10 for the mini bag) and is several months old. Yeah, I don't even want to say what month's bag this came in. Better late than never, right? Aurora is a beautiful shimmer packed with colors of blue, green, gold and silver in a clear base. This is another one of those colors that you don't know if it's supposed to be a topper or a polish on its own. Well, the first coat is extremely sheer, but you can build it up to full opacity in around 3 coats. Unlike some Rainbow Honey polishes that can get thick after a couple coats, this one had no problems. For some reason it reminds me a little of Zoya Hazel (perhaps it is just the blue and gold in it), but with just shimmer and no metallic element. This is a pain to take off, but well worth it.

Right on the Nail ~ Sally Hansen 2015 Velvet Texture Collection Swatches and Review: Lavish

Sally Hansen Lavish (2 coats)

I know, I've been posting the Velvet Texture polishes slowly since early 2015. Every time I stop at Ulta or Walgreens, I can't stop myself from picking another one up. Tonight I have one of my favorite colors called Lavish which is a deep wine color. I say this is one of my favorites due to the fact that it actually dried in a decent amount of time and the texture really stands out. These are supposed to come out this month (according to my Sally Hansen representative), but I know some of you have found these as early as November. Have you seen them?

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya 2015 Spring Delights Collection Swatches and Review: Part II The Cremes

*press samples*

It's Icenado out there! We're expected to get 1-2 inches of ice tonight. Here in the south (North Carolina) we're not used to snow and ice so this is a huge deal. I showed you the shimmers yesterday, and tonight I have the 3 cremes from the collection.

Zoya Eden (2 coats)

Eden is a classic medium pink creme. Out of the whole collection, this one is the least unique. It also had the best application of the cremes with minimal streaking in 2 coats.

Zoya Lillian (3 coats)

Lillian is a powder blue creme. This one was pretty streaky on the first coat, but evened out within three. This one is also a little thick, so thin coats are a must.

Zoya Tiana (3 coats)

I guess you can call Tiana a sort of a pistachio green creme. The formula and application were exactly the same as Lillian.

This entire collection is basically a win and you won't go wrong with any color here. You can find these and other Zoya polishes at your local Ulta store, salon, or zoya.com for $9. What are your thoughts?

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya 2015 Spring Delights Collection Swatches and Review: Part I The Shimmers

*press samples*

The Zoya Spring collection seemed to come out earlier, or the transitional Naturel collection came out late because these two basically arrived the same week for me. As you saw before, the Naturel collection had a couple more soft pastel shades this year and the Spring collection is better than ever, in my opinion. There are 3 with turquoise shimmer and 3 cremes. You know me, shimmer is always better than no shimmer if you ask me!

Zoya Daisy (3 coats)

Daisy is a medium yellow with turquoise shimmer. Yes, it needed 3 coats for full coverage, and it was streaky on the first, but was much better than most. I love that the shimmer is so prominent in this one.

Zoya Leslie (2 coats)

Leslie is a lavender purple with turquoise shimmer. The shimmer was less noticeable, but still there from afar. Leslie had the best formula out of the three in just 2 coats.

Zoya Rayne (3 coats)

Rayne is more flashy than the other 2 and gives off more of the "turquoise metallic" finish that Zoya is calling these. This one applied like Daisy and needed the 3 coats.

Overall, I'm in love with all of these polishes. I think Zoya hit it out of the park this year. I didn't buy any of the spring colors from last year (I actually bought 3 of them during this past sale so you'll see those soon enough) so I'm excited to have all of them this year. You can find these and other Zoya polishes at your local Ulta store, salon, or zoya.com for $9. What are your thoughts?

Right on the Nail ~ wHet Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review: Insatiable

wHet Nail Lacquer Insatiable (2 coats)

In between spring collections, I will show a few individual colors that I hope you enjoy. I've shown a few wHet polishes before, and tonight I have a Valentine's Day approved red jelly called Insatiable. For being a jelly, it was quite opaque in just 2 coats. This is a pretty classic color, so I don't have anything negative to really say. TGIF!

You can find wHet polishes on their websiteFacebook, or Twitter for more information.

Right on the Nail ~ SinfulColors 2015 Valentine's Day Flirt With Hearts Collection Swatches and Reviews: Love Sprinkles and Decadent

*press samples*

Tonight I have the final 2 polishes from the Flirt With Hearts Collection which both happen to be glitter topcoats.

SinfulColors Love Sprinkles (2 coats) over 2 coats Zoya Eden (2 coats)

Love Sprinkles is the limited edition polish from the collection which contains white hearts with various sized pink and white hexagonal glitter. I didn't have to fish very hard for the heats, either. If I looked closely at pictures I saw some bubbles, but I couldn't see it in real life.

SinfulColors Decadent (2 coats) over 2 coats Morgan Taylor Watch Your Step, Sister

Decadent is a fairly simple red glitter topcoat. Unlike Love Sprinkles, I had no issues with any bubbling.

You can find this collection now at your local Walgreens, Rite Aid and other mass retailers for only $1.99. Also check out SinfulColors on TwitterInstagram and Facebook.
