Right on the Nail ~ Vapid Lacquer Valentine's Day Trio Swatches and Review: Like a Virgin

Vapid Lacquer Like a Virgin (3 coats)

Hi guys! I have more bad news, sorry. I really thought that the polish I'm showing tonight was still for sale, but I don't see it on the site. Blarg. I can still show you swatches and recommend purchasing from Vapid Lacquer because I've been extremely impressed with the polishes I've tried so far. Like a Virgin was part of a Valentine's Day Trio and is a soft white crelly with just a sprinkling of holographic shimmer. It's just so clean-looking! You know how white polishes tend to be streaky, right? Well, this is easily the best-applying white polish I own. I used 3 thin coats for the pictures above, but they built up so nicely.

Vapid Lacquer polishes range in price from $8-$11 depending on the finish (holos and thermals tend to cost the most, whereas cremes are the cheapest). There is a restock this weekend (April 30th) , so make sure to check out the website!

Right on the Nail ~ Vapid Lacquer Limited Edition Polish Swatches and Review: Birthday Bitch

Vapid Lacquer Birthday Bitch (3 coats)

Hi guys! Good news and bad news. Good news, I have a couple polishes from the popular indie brand Vapid Lacquer. Bad news, the polish I'm showing tonight is limited edition and is currently out of stock. Do you mind if I show it to you anyway? Every year Krys, the owner of Vapid Lacquer, releases the polish called Birthday Bitch on her birthday (I think she restocked it once as well). What makes this polish so special you may ask? The beautiful multichrome flakes! I'm going to say something controversial, but I just have to get it out: I like flakie polishes more than holographic polishes. Yes, I said it! The only criticism I have for Birthday Bitch is I wish it only needed 2 coats instead of 3.

Vapid Lacquer polishes range in price from $8-$11 depending on the finish (holos and thermals tend to cost the most, whereas cremes are the cheapest). There is a restock this weekend (April 30th) , so make sure to check out the website!

Right on the Nail ~ OPI 2016 Hello Kitty Collection Swatches and Reviews Part II: My Pal Joey and Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel

Hi guys! Anyone else have their allergies going crazy today? I've been sneezing with itchy eyes all day even after taking a Zyrtec. My husband has to take allergy pills 365 days a year, so I'm pretty lucky I just have to take it a few days out of the year. Tonight I have a couple of the brighter polishes from the OPI Hello Kitty Collection to share with you.

Right on the Nail ~ OPI 2016 Hello Kitty Collection Swatches and Reviews: Let's Be Friends and Look at My Bow!

RIP Prince. I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few years ago with my brother. 3rd row seats. During one of the songs, Prince wanted the lights up, and for everyone to sing a particular part. Of course my brother and I obliged. Prince happened to look over, smile, then point at me (or my brother...who knows)! My brother claimed he pointed at him. Truth be told, while I was a big fan, my brother was even bigger. He was the one who got the great tickets for us. I think Prince smiled and pointed at my brother. He probably saw the glee on his face. He put on such a great concert that I'll never forget.

On that depressing note, let's talk about something happy and lighthearted like Hello Kitty. The OPI Hello Kitty collection was released a few months ago and I just got around to buying a few. It's pink galore with a few splashes of color. Follow me after the break for more information.

Right on the Nail ~ OPI Spring 2016 New Orleans Collection Swatches and Reviews: I'm Sooo Swamped and Show Us Your Tips!

Hi guys! Tonight I have 2 polishes from the latest OPI collection that features polishes inspired by New Orleans (and I'm assuming Mardi Gras). I, like many other bloggers, thought the collection would be full of fun and bright colors that Mardi Gras is known for. OPI decided to go a bit of a different direction, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed by some of the muted tones they included. Despite this, I still enjoyed the 2 colors I have to show you tonight. Swatch time!

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya Redbook Trio Swatches and Review: Marjorie and Earth Day Exchange 2016 Details

Zoya Marjorie (2 coats)

Hi guys! Sorry I was MIA on Friday, but I was in Atlanta for a fountain pen show. I even talked to a maker who makes his own acrylic resins and I recommended he add some holographic shimmer to them because nail polish fanatics would be all over that! If that ends up happening I'll let you know. Tonight I have a color from the Zoya for Redbook Trio that I received in my 2015 Mystery Box a few months ago. Stick with me and I'll give you the scoop on the Zoya Earth Day Exchange that started TODAY and goes through the end of the month.

Marjorie is a deep fuchsia glass-flecked polish with lots of pink and blue shimmer. Zoya really knows how to do a glass-flecked polish (China Glaze is up there as well...when they actually decide to do them). I had no formula issues to mention, and it was opaque in just 2 coats. You can still buy this polish, but you have to buy the trio for $27. If I get the chance, I'll go ahead and post the other 2 colors which includes a cherry red creme and a gold glitter topper.

Will you be taking part in the 2017 Earth Day Exchange program? You will need to buy at least 6 polishes, but they will all be 50% off with the code ZGREEN. You don't have to send in your old polishes since it's the honor system. I think donating the polishes you don't love anymore to a shelter or nursing home who accepts them is the best option. Here's the rest of the information:

Right on the Nail ~ Polish 'M Glitter Topper Prototypes Swatches and Review: Prototypes 12, 18, and 19

Hi guys! Yesterday was my birthday and it was a pretty dreary day around here. Once 30 hits, birthdays aren't really as exciting anymore, am I right? Tonight I have the last 3 glitter prototypes from Polish 'M that feature very different glitters. Unfortunately, I think only Prototype 18 is currently available for $6 so make sure to check that out. There are still many polishes still on sale at Polish 'M. Pictures anyone?

Right on the Nail ~ Frenzy Polish Swatches and Reviews: Dauntless and The Elusive Fox

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of a post on Friday but I had family in town. In other polish news, I am super psyched about getting a brand new peel off basecoat from the Taiwanese brand UNT. The only stockist who carries any UNT nail products in the USA is Live Love Polish which is where I purchased my bottles. I just looked at the site and it looks as though they just sold out of these which makes me so happy I purchased them when I did. I'll keep you posted how it works out for me. Tonight I have the final 2 polishes I bought while on my Frenzy Polish buying spree. They are currently closed to prepare for their release of the new Enigma Collection which comes out April 15th, so make sure to prepare yourself for that excitement! Shall we start looking at swatches?

Right on the Nail ~ New Barielle with ProSina Signature Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I've been a fan of Barielle polishes for many years and tonight I have something brand new to share with you. They have a new line of polishes infused with ProSina which is a a specialized type of keratin with polypeptides that help strengthen, condition, and protect the nails. You may remember my posts from the brand Dermelect who also utilize ProSina. While I enjoyed those polishes, they also happen to be $14 each. Eep! All 0.45 fl oz Signature Barielle polishes retail for only $9. I should also mention that the Signature polishes have a new rounded bottle that hold the same amount as the Shades polishes. Now we have all of that information out of the way, how about we get to some swatches to see if they apply normally?

Right on the Nail ~ Polish 'M Glitter Topper Prototypes Swatches and Review: Prototype 11

Polish 'M Prototype 11 (3 coats)

Hi guys, TGIF! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? We will likely be going to a festival at our localish arboretum to get some plants and just enjoy the scenery. Other than that, I hope to just relax the rest of the weekend. Tonight I have one of the glitter topcoat prototypes released by Polish 'M last month. Fortunately these are still available and only cost $6 each! Prototype 11, the polish I'm showing you tonight, is pretty much the only one that builds up enough on its own without the need of a base color. Polish 'M has released 2 other polishes with the same type of small hexagonal glitters called Behind the Scenes and Class Act (both which I own and love). As soon as I saw a swatch of this, I knew it had to be mine. Is it not spring in a bottle? I'm always impressed with how Michelle can add so much glitter to a polish without making it impossible to apply. If you have short nails you will likely only need 2 coats, but macro photos tend to bring out any small bald spots so I used 3 for the swatches above. I definitely recommend this color to everyone!

You can find Polish 'M on their storefrontFacebookInstagram, and Facebook Group (which I am a part of!) pages.
