Zoya Winter 2021 Dazzle Collection Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello hello! I'm a little behind on my Zoya swatches, so I need to get on the ball. I'm working on their annual Naturel collection right now and the Spring Abundance Collection should be in the mail next week. The Dazzle Collection was released for the Winter 2021 season, and features 5 jelly-like shimmer polishes and one lip gloss. Shall we get to swatches? These are available now and retail for $12 each.

Zoya Alexis (3 coats)

Welp, we're starting with my least favorite which is Alexis. I think this one would work best as a topper instead of a stand alone polish, unless you don't mind a sheer polish that shows visible nail line. If you have short nails, you likely won't have as much of an issue. This is 3 coats, and you can see the staining in my nails, but it's less noticeable in person because the bright lighting for photography really makes it stand out here. These are not hard to remove, and one coat of topcoat smooths them all out.

Zoya Dominique (2 coats)

Up next we have Dominique which happens to be one of my favorites from the collection. It's a deep plum jelly base with purple and copper flecked shimmer. The copper and plum is such a unique color combo. This one was more opaque and needed just 2 easy coats for full coverage. Love it!

Zoya Esme (3 coats)

Continuing on we have Esme which is a peach jelly base with strong gold flecked shimmer. Do you think this looks ok with my skintone? I dunno, for some reason I feel like it clashes a little. This was a bit on the sheer side (but not as sheer as Alexis), but fully covered in 3 easy coats. I think this would look fantastic on tanned or darker skin.

Zoya Marlena (3 coats)

Marlena here is easily my favorite color of the collection. I received many compliments while wearing it because it stands out so much. Marlena is a sapphire blue jelly base with green and gold flecked shimmer. It reminds me of a mermaid tail. Depending on your nail length and application, you may need 2 or 3 coats. I used 3 thin coats, but only because lighting can make bald spots appear where they don't exist. I definitely recommend this one!

Zoya Sophia (2 coats)

The last polish of the collection is Sophia which is a bright red jelly base with red and gold flecked shimmer. This one doesn't contrast as much with the base, so the gold is a bit hidden here. Either way, it's still a beautiful color. There's just something special about Zoya's flecked shimmers and I've loved them for years. I used 2 thin coats for my photos, but you may want a third if you want more dimension or have really long nails.

I just wanted to mention that there is also a Hot Lips Lip Gloss in Limo which is a shimmering silver white. It's basically similar to Alexis, but in lip gloss form.

There you have it, folks! My top picks are Marlena and Dominique, and you can purchase these now on the Zoya website for $12 each. You can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy. They often have sales, so check their social media pages periodically.
