Polish Pickup (PPU) August 2018: Static Lacquer's Naive & Starry Eyed

*press sample*

Hi guys! I've had a really rough week, so I apologize for my absence. The loss of my friend and lots of travel means little time for the blog. While I'm not 100% ready to be back, being prompt and professional in getting swatches done on time is very important to me. I have a bunch of posts lined up for the week, so I hope you'll stop back in to see some beautiful colors from Static Lacquer and Noodles Nail Polish. Tonight I have a polish from the August Polish Pickup (PPU) which has a musical theme this month. While I personally don't watch very many musicals, I definitely appreciate the art and how powerful they can be. This is the first time Stacy from Mace Polish will be a part of PPU under her new brand, Static Lacquer. Same great maker and customer service, just a new name and logo. All PPU shades will be available from Fri, Aug 3rd at 11 AM ET through Monday Aug 6th at 11:59 PM ET. Static Lacquer's Naive & Starry Eyed will be capped at 150 bottles and will retail for $13 each. Go ahead and hit that button for more pics and information.

Static Lacquer Naive & Starry Eyed (3 coats)

I love that Stacy thought outside the box for this month's polish. It is based off a Forgive Durden album called Razia's Shadow A Musical. Stacy said that when the album came out she was obsessed with it and knew she was going to use it with the musical theme this month. Apparently it has lots of popular bands such as Portugal. the Man, Panic! at the Disco, and Saves the Day on there, so I really need to check this out. I'm a fan of most of the bands on there, so if you're into alternative music, definitely check it out. Naive & Starry Eyed is a teal base with a blue to green shift, UCC flakies, and fine silver holo flakies. I used 3 thinner coats for my photos, but you may be able to get away with 2, depending on your application. It dried quickly and with no texture.

Gorgeous polish with a perfect formula, what more could you ask for? Again, this one is capped at 150 bottles, so make sure to get your orders in early. Oh, and shipping is a flat-rate of $3 to the US (more for Canada and international). If you make more than one order, just make sure your name and address are the same on all orders and they will automatically be combined and you will be refunded any overages paid. Mace Polish still has their July PPU Rewind available until July 31st, so check that out if you haven't already purchased it. You can learn more about Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebook, Group, and Instagram pages while you can find more about PPU on their Facebook page and website.
