Polish Pickup April 2022 Periodic Table from Noodles Nail Polish: Hydrogen in the Sky

*press sample*

Hi everyone! I know I say this every month, but I can't believe it's almost April! And April just so happens to be my favorite month. It's my birthday month, it's getting warmer outside, flowers are blooming, and there's the best Easter candy! What more can a person ask for?

Tonight I've got this month's Polish Pickup shade from Noodles Nail Polish. This month's theme is Ther Periodic Table. As a former microbiologist, I had to take a ton of Chemistry classes, and I actually worked in a Soil Chemistry lab (studying arsenic in drinking water) for 5 years. I am so excited to see what the makers come up with this month! PPU starts Friday, April 1st (no joking!) at 11:00 AM ET and ends on Monday, April 4th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. I used to add a blurb in here about cheap PPU shipping, but honestly it's all changed so much that most orders are no longer $3. I just wanted to mention this to any newcomers to the Pickup. Shall we get to some pictures?

Noodles Nail Polish Hydrogen in the Sky (3 coats)
Inspiration: Inspired by the element hydrogen. Color inspired by a photo of hot air balloons against a sunset.
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: None

Ah yes, we have the lightest element, hydrogen, which also has the atomic number 1. I think people normally associate hydrogen with hot air balloons or zeppelins, which is why Natalie from Noodles Nail Polish gave us Hydrogen in the Sky. It's a light lavender crelly base with purple/pink/gold/copper/green shifting flakes, pink/purple matte glitters, pink/yellow iridescent glitters, and a sprinkling of fine gold holo glitters. What a perfect spring shade! I used 3 thin coats for my photos, and I'd recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat followed by a layer of quick-dry topcoat for the smoothest finish. If you don't have a glitter smoothing topcoat, I'd go ahead and use 2 coats of topcoat to smooth the flakes and glitter in Hydrogen in the Sky.

There you have it folks! The website is ready for wishlisting, so head on over there to browse the beauties. If any item has a bottle limit, you may want to check out right at 11 AM on Friday so they don't sell out.  What do you think? Which ones will you be picking up this month?

Noodles Nail Polish St. Patrick's Day Polish 2022: Magically Delicious

 *press sample*

Hi everyone! I know this post is a bit last minute, but USPS decided to take my package around the state of North Carolina for 3 days before delivering it. This year Natalie has a fun St. Patrick's Day polish for you, and it will be available this Saturday, March 5th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website. It will retail for just $10, and I hope you're ready for some beautiful green crelly goodness!

Noodles Nail Polish Magically Delicious (3 coats)

Oh man, look at this rainbow of glitter! Magically Delicious is inspired by that popular cereal and is a pale green crelly base with green/white/yellow/orange/pink/blue/purple hexagonal glitters in various sizes and a touch of gold holo glitters. I went ahead and used 3 thin coats for my photos, but if you use thicker coats, you may be able to get away with 2. The formula was thinner (in a good way!), and it dried with lots of texture from the glitter load. I recommend a glitter grabber topcoat if you have one, otherwise, double up on the regular topcoat to get a smooth finish. This is a must have!
