Hello hello everyone! I can't believe Halloween is tomorrow and Polish Pickup starts on Friday. It feels like October just flew by. Don't forget, it's Daylight Savings Time this weekend, so lots of our clocks will be falling back. I will be going to work and coming home in the dark, so I do not love DST. This month's Polish Pickup theme is Nostalgic Toys and wish listing is up right now, so get that cart ready. Now just look how great Natalie did with the glitter topper this month! I say glitter topper, but this one can definitely be used on its own in 3 coats. It's a clear-based polish with a mix of holo and metallic gold glitters, metallic red and green glitters, and a touch of gold shimmer. This one just shines on the nail! If you are making this a full-coverage polish, I recommend dabbing on the first coat to position the glitters which will allow the subsequent layers to build up easily with more coats. This one does dry with lots of texture due to the glitters, so I recommend a coat of glitter-smoothing topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to get that glass-like finish.

Zoya February 2024 Color of the Month: Love

New month, new Color of the Month polish from Zoya. February is all about love, and that goes for your nails. I wanted to get this post out as soon as possible, because these limited edition polishes from Zoya are around for approximately a month. It may be March 1st, or it could be later in the month, but none of the other COTM shades are currently available, so there's that. This month we have Love, and it retails for $12 and you can get free shipping with code LOVE24. 

Zoya Love (2 coats)

We have a glitter polish that covers in 2 coats! Love is a red jelly base with loads of various sized hexagonal red glitter. It reminds me of Dorothy's Ruby Red Slippers, don't you think? The polish applies well, and has so much glitter so you don't have to dab it on (regular strokes is fine). It does dry with texture from all the glitter, so I recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat for that smooth finish. I'm actually a big fan of this one and I've been wearing it for the past 3 days. Polish Pickup February 2024 Wild Animals: Noodles Nail Polish Love Birds

Hello hello! How is it almost February?! Wasn't last week Christmas? I hope you are all staying warm in your respective areas. It's been on and off cold, but nothing unbearable like much of the US had last week. Tonight I've got the Polish Pickup shade from Noodles Nail Polish to share with you. 

This month's theme is Wild Animals, and like last month, I'm also an animal lover and can't wait to see what's in store.

Noodles Nail Polish Love Birds (2 coats)

Inspiration: a photo of 2 love birds 

Price: $12

Bottle Limit: 250 bottles

This month Natalie was inspired by a photo of love birds (very Valentine's Day appropriate indeed!) and Love Birds is a bright pink (leaning red) crelly base with neon pink glitters, lime/gold iridescent glitters,  and purple/red/gold/orange color shifting flakes. The flakes aren't too in-your-face and adds nice visual texture to the polish. It was fairly opaque and only needed 2 regular coats for full opacity. Love Birds does dry with some texture due to the glitters and flakes, so I recommend a glitter-smoothing topcoat followed by a layer of quick-dry topcoat to get a finish like the swatches above.

Hello hello! Can you believe it's already the final Polish Pickup release of the year?! Honestly, this year has flown by. It really feels like summer was a few weeks ago. This month's theme has no theme and is the maker's choice.

Noodles Nail Polish Holiday Sangria (2 coats)

Inspiration: the holiday drink

Give me all of the silver holo flakes. Yes, all of them. Don't get me wrong, I love the color-shifting flakes as well, but there's just something special about the holo ones. Holiday Sangria is a deep berry crelly base with silver holo flakes, red/raspberry metallic glitters, and fine copper holo glitters. The visual texture of this one is just gorgeous. This was quite opaque and only needed 2 easy coats, but it does dry with lots of texture from the glitters, so I recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat for that glass-like finish. Love it!

Hi everyone! We have the Daylight Savings Time change tonight and I'm dreading it. It's so hard going to work and coming home from work in the dark everyday. Does anyone really like DST? It was a long work week, so I really needed this weekend to rest up. Tonight I have 2 Facebook Group exclusives to share with you from Naps and Nails. Both colors are available now through the end of the month on the Naps and Nails website for $12 each (to get the polish, you must be a member of the respective group to get the code to purchase the polish).  The first shade is for the Holomaniacs Group and is named Holo-Biscus and and second is for the Fantasmic Flakies Group and is named Love Me or Leaf Me and both are inspired by a photo chosen by the group. Naps and Nails Holo-Biscus (2 coats)

Up first we have Holo-Biscus which is a red base with shimmery shifts of red/fuchsia/purple and orange/red shifting flakes with a holo finish. Even if you're in low indoor light, you still get to see the shifty purple shimmer in the base. When you're in sunlight, the holo finish really comes into play. There are some flakes in there, but if a flakie bomb isn't your thing, I think this will still work well for you. I used 2 thicker coats for full opacity, but it dried with a smooth finish, so a single coat of topcoat was all that was needed.

Naps and Nails Love Me or Leaf Me (2 coats)

Continuing on we have Love Me or Leaf Me for the Fantasmic Flakies group, and boy, does this one pack a punch in the flakie department! It is a cobalt blue jelly base with shifting flakes of red/orange/gold/green and a slight holo finish. I absolutely am in love with the flakes in this one! It really looks like leaves floating in water, right? I used 2 thicker coats for full coverage, and surprisingly this one also still dried with minimal texture even with all the flakes.

Naps and Nails Hella Handmade Creations September 2023 Polish and Halloween Duo

Hello hello! It's Monday yet again, but I'm super excited because my parents will be coming to visit this weekend! I don't get to see them often enough (they live out-of-state), so I appreciate any time we can spend together. Tonight I have 3 polishes from Naps and Nails for Hella Handmade Creations (HHC) which starts later this week. New to HHC? It works similarly to Polish Pickup where there's a pre-order for exclusive polishes with themes chosen by the brands participating. The pre-order opens every month on the 14th @ 12:01 am Eastern time and closes on the 21st @ 11:59 pm Hawaii time.
