Pahlish Doctor Who All of Time and Space 2013 Collection Swatches: Bad Wolf and Not So Married!

Pahlish Bad Wolf (2 coats)

Pahlish Not So Married! (2 coats)

And so the Doctor Who All of Time and Space collection comes to a close :( No worries, hopefully I'll be buying the February collection from them. Up first is Bad Wolf. Do you ever wear a polish hoping it will give you good luck? Well, I wore this one for a special occasion and it did not go well. Yes, I'm being vague for a reason. Anyway, it's weird that it affects the way I feel about the polish. Bad Wolf is a pinkish taupe with purple and gold flakes and shimmer. It's very pretty, but I still feel let down. I know this doesn't make sense, but I'm sorry. The formula and application was wonderful.

Not So Married is such a complex polish. You have to give it a double take to figure out all that is going on in it. It's a blackened jelly with reddish purple shimmer and gold flakes. Some angles it even looks like it has a little green going on. I think this one is a must buy. It just so happens to still be in stock at the Pahlish store. They run $9 which isn't bad at all based on some other indie polishes. Shannon restocks every Friday evening if something you're wanting is out of stock.

Pahlish Doctor Who All of Time and Space 2013 Collection Swatches: Forest of the Dead and Lullaby Without End

Pahlish Forest of the Dead (2 coats)

Pahlish Lullaby Without End (2 coats)

It's been snowy here so I've been working from home the last few days. How is it in your neck of the woods? You'd think I'd be farther ahead in my swatching, but of course I'm not.

Continuing on with the All of Space and Time is Forest of the Dead which in finish reminds me of a green and coppery gold version of Mad Man With a Box. The great part of this one is that there is absolutely no staining with this one, which I was expecting. It was thick in a good way which almost made it a 1 coater (I used 2 for good measure).

I was expecting to not like Lullaby Without End as much as the rest of them, but I actually do like it. It's a red jelly with red microglitter and hexagonal and square blue and orange glitter. Since it is a jelly, I expected it to be sheer, but this baby only needed 2 coats. It may not be for everyone, but it's striking against the rest of the collection. No problems with formula or application. Do you like it?

Pahlish Doctor Who All of Time and Space 2013 Collection Swatches: Mad Man With a Box and The Ghost Shift

Pahlish Mad Man With a Box (2 coats)

Pahlish The Ghost Shift (2 coats)

I love Doctor Who. If you don't watch it, I recommend that you do because it's pretty awesome and I'm looking forward to the new Doctor (Peter Capaldi), but David Tennant will always be my Doctor. This year is the 50th anniversary for the show (isn't that incredible?) so you have seen several indie brands have special collections for it. Pahlish is one of those companies and I bought all of them (this is part 1 out of 2 parts which will come out next month). Up first is Mad Man With a Box which is the color of The Doctor's TARDIS (which looks like a phone booth). It's a deep blue glitter with small amounts of green and gold glitter flakes. I love this one, but I have never had as much staining of my nails and cuticles in my life. I'm serious and that makes me sad. If that weren't the case, it'd be a top contender for my favorite. On the bright side, the application was great with 2 coats.

The Ghost Shift is a deep grey holo. There's really not a ton of things to say about this one; it's pretty, but it's not anything I haven't seen before. It also had really great formula and application with a strong holo finish.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Polish Swatch: Be Humble

Rescue Beauty Lounge Be Humble (2 coats)

I forgot to show a Rescue Beauty Lounge polish! How did I do that? Anyway, Be Humble is from the Emoting Me collection and is a taupe with pink and blue shimmer. It sort of reminds me of the Ruby White Tips polish Jane's Lemming, but lighter and with lots less blue shimmer. Secretly I like Jane's Lemming better now that I look at them both together. Anyway, Be Humble is still a nice polish and had great application in 2 coats, as usual. Ok, I'm for real done with the Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes this time.

Ruby White Tips Polish Swatch: Ashley Rose Thermal Polish

Ashley Rose Warm Hands (2 coats)

Ashley Rose Cold Hands (2 coats)

*press sample*

Ashley Rose is the last polish I have to show, and I was shocked to find out this was a thermal polish. It doesn't say it on the bottle, and Laura was nice enough to throw this one in with my order so I didn't know what I was getting in to. When your hands are warm, the polish a blue holographic, but put your hands under some cold water and you can see it instantly change to a purple color which matches the bottle color. I noticed when I first took a picture of it, I thought to myself, "Man, this really looks different than the bottle color. Usually it's just a little darker, not a different color!" It was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't able to capture it with my tips purple and my nail beds blue unfortunately. This had a great formula and application with only 2 coats.

You can find them on their Etsy websiteFacebookTwitter or Instagram @rubywhitetips.

Ruby White Tips Polish Swatches: 7 Premiere and Jane's Lemming

Ruby White Tips 7 Premiere (2 coats)

Ruby White Tips Jane's Lemming (2 coats)

*These polishes were purchased at a discount and I only give honest reviews*

I've just been sitting here watching the Grammy's and being a bit bored. Man, some of these singers can't sing and it's so disappointing. Anyway, I have 2 more swatches from Ruby White Tips to show with 7 Premiere up first. I thought this was going to be one of my favorites, but it ended up being my least favorite. There's nothing wrong with it per se; I just expected to see more of a duochrome than I did based on the description. It's a pink color with blue duochrome, but they claimed to see up to 7 different colors. I think maybe there's some orange in there as well? There's nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't my favorite. The formula and application was slightly thick, but manageable.

Jane's Lemming is just gorgeous. It's a very work friendly polish that packs a punch with the abundance of blue shimmer in the taupe base. I showed my mom this one, and she was shocked when I moved the bottle around and showed her the shimmer. I think this one is very special. It also had the best application out of all the polishes with only 2 coats. I only have one more polish to show tomorrow :-(

Ruby White Tips American Horror Story Collection Swatches: Normal People Scare Me and Don't Make Me Drop a House On You

Ruby White Tips Normal People Scare Me (2 coats)

Ruby White Tips Don't Make Me Drop a House On You (2 coats) over Normal People Scare Me

*press samples*

Are you a fan of the show American Horror Story? If so, you definitely need to check out the brand new collection that came out today from Ruby White Tips. The first one is called Normal People Scare Me and it's a bit of a duochrome shimmer with purple that shifts to pink. I think this is so beautiful! I was also really impressed with the formula which was smooth in only 2 coats.

When I first saw the glitter topcoat called Don't Make Me Drop a House On You I thought it was going to be a bit of a snooze. I think this is my favorite of all time! It has silver holographic glitter in different sizes with fuchsia in there as well. I got multiple compliments with this combination since it stands out so much. It reminds me of a princess and I loved it. I was also worried it was going to be really thick which happens sometimes with indie companies. Nope, not here, I used 2 coats due to the fact that I wanted more bling, but 1 coat could definitely be enough since it is glitter dense.

Ruby White Tips Breaking Bad Collection Swatch: Better Call Saul

Ruby White Tips Better Call Saul (2 coats)

*These polishes were purchased at a discount and I only give honest reviews*

I believe this is the last of the Breaking Bad collection swatches I have to show and it's called Better Call Saul. When I first read this, I thought it was from Homeland since they both have a Saul. I actually embarrassed to say I couldn't get into Breaking Bad because it was so dark and depressing. Maybe someday I'll get around to watching them all. Anyway, Better Call Saul is a multichrome of silver/white, pink and blue depending on the angle with a pearlescent finish. This one is pretty awesome, too. I wasn't sure what to expect from the brand since this is my first time trying them, and I am so impressed. The formula was a bit thick, but nothing unmanageable. You also have to be careful of brushstrokes; just look at my ring finger. Oops! Either way, this is still a great polish that I'd recommend.

Ruby White Tips Breaking Bad Collection Swatches: Hell Yeah Science and An Ocean Full of It

Ruby White Tips Hell Yeah Science (2 coats)

Ruby White Tips (3 coats)

*These polishes were purchased at a discount and I only give honest reviews*

Have you heard of Ruby White Tips on Etsy? Well, if not, get on over there to pick up some beautiful polishes such as the ones I'll be showing you today (and in the coming days). Up first is Hell Yeah Science, which, as a scientist, I just had to have even if it were an ugly color (which it isn't). It's a dusty purple plum with a nice scattering of holo glitter thrown in. It's not a full on linear polish, but that's fine with me; it seems like a lot of indie brands are doing that these days. The formula was great and only needed 2 coats for full coverage. It may be slightly thicker than the normal China Glaze or OPI, but that's just something to expect from indie brands due to the bases they have to use.

The second polish is my love. It's called An Ocean Full of It and is a duochrome of blue and green, just like water. Oh, and in some views, the gold really stands out as well. This one was a little sheerer and needed 3 coats for me, but you could definitely get away with only using 2. Since I've studied oceans and lakes for my research, this one really hit home and made me love it even more. You can find them on their Etsy store, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram @rubywhitetips.
