Polish Pickup January 2019 Mythology: Noodles Nail Polish Snow Nymph

*press sample*

Hi guys! Can you believe it will be 2019 next week?! I have Monday and Tuesday off and my family is coming into town for second Christmas. Other than that, I don't really have anything else going on. Polish Pickup is upon us already, and January's theme is Mythology. The order window opens at 11 AM ET on 1/4 and ends at 11:59 PM 1/7. Unlike December, caps will be back to normal, so you likely won't be needing ninja hands this time around. Tonight I have this month's Noodles Nail Polish which is inspired by Khione, the Goddess of snow and winter. Ugh, we've had more snow here this month than we did all last winter. I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter. Despite my hatred of snow, I'm a huge fan of wintery shades. Snow Nymph will be $12 with a cap of 125 bottles.

Noodles Nail Polish Snow Nymph (2 coats) (diffused lighting)

Noodles Nail Polish Snow Nymph (2 coats) (direct full-spectrum lighting)

I know, I took lots of photos, but I wanted to make sure to show how this one looks in different lighting. Snow Nymph is an icy blue holo with silver flakies, and white and blue microflakies. When you're indoors, the flakies are most promient, but when the sunlight hits it, you'll be shocked at how blinding the holo finish is! It's almost like it's 2 polishes in 1. Snow Nymph was extremely opaque and easily covered the nail in 2 thin coats (and it self-leveled nicely). It dried quickly and with just a little texture that smooths out with topcoat. If you get any polish on your skin, it will take a little extra acetone to remove it due to all the flakies that want to stick around.

I definitely think Khione would be proud to wear this one. I imagine there'd be some glittery makeup and accessories to match. Snow Nymph is such a beautiful cool-toned blue with extra pizzazz from the holo and extreme flakie finish. Remember, it will only be around for 4 days, or until all 125 bottles are sold. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group while you can learn more about the Polish Pickup on their Facebook page and website.

Holiday Nails with Morgan Taylor You Crack Me Up: Swatch and Review

Morgan Taylor You Crack Me Up (2 coats)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I've been laying low around here, and that's fine with me. Mr. Nose is still on his meds, so I've been trying to get a routine going for when we have to leave town in a few weeks. We've also been giving him some CBD treats, as per our vet, and that seems to be helping as well.

Tonight I have the polish I've been wearing the last couple days and that's You Crack Me Up by Morgan Taylor. It was a part of their holiday Little Miss Nutcracker Collection from last year. It's a full-coverage bright green glitter base with small gold microglitter. I fully expected needing a third coat, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was fine in 2. The formula was perfect, but I'd recommend a peel-off basecoat or the foil method for removal.

It appears as though Transdesign still has this one in a set with the gel counterpart for just $14 and they are a reputable site. You can find out more about Morgan Taylor on their website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages. Take care!

More Emily de Molly Swatches and Reviews: Dreams of Glass and The Grey Silence

Hi guys! I'm finally back with another post. I know I've been a bit quiet, but I'll be back with a vengeance with the new year. It's crazy that 2018 has almost come to an end, right? It wasn't the greatest of years, personally, but I'm really happy with how the blog has been going. One thing I am going to bring back in 2019 is Nibs & Nails. I already have a couple brands on tap, and I can't wait to see what they come up with. Any guesses on what brands will be featured? Anyway, I've got a couple more Emily de Molly polishes to share with you tonight. They are quickly becoming a favorite indie brand, and most definitely my favorite Australian brand. Hit that button below to see these beauties!

Pepper Pot Polish The Final Girls Collection Swatches & Reviews: Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome and The Cutie

*purchased with a blogger discount*

Hi guys! Whoa, we got so much snow this weekend! We get a couple snow "storms" a year, but they usually aren't much. I grew up in northwest Ohio, so I am used to loads of snow. But yeah, we got over a foot of snow and ice. You know what that means: snow day! I got a lot done on my extra day off. I almost got caught up on 90 Day Fiancé, worked out a bit, and made a large homemade dinner. How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Tonight I've got a couple shades from Pepper Pot Polish's The Final Girls Collection. The inspiration for this set is super unique and interesting. These were made for Mackenzie's love of horror movies and the heroine/survivor of these movies. If you're a flakie lover, you will love these!

Starlight and Sparkles Polish Mythological Top Coats Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! It's starting to be that busy time of year at work. People are buying pens and accessories for their friends and family and I have to put in some long hours. Speaking of fountain pens, that's how I was introduced to the maker for tonight's post. It just so happens that Issa from Starlight and Sparkles is a fellow fountain pen enthusiast, so we've become pen pals. She was also kind enough to send along some of her Mythological top coats, and did I mention that they contain unicorn pee (UP) and/or UP-sibling shimmer? Just look at that collage! I'm also happy to mention that she has sample bottles that hold a decent amount of polish! The mini size holds 7.5 mL while a full bottle is the normal 15 mL. Mini bottles can have brush issues, but these were very generously sized and I had no issues with applying them. I cannot hold off any longer, let's get a closer look.

Polish Pickup December 2018 Enchanted Forest: Static Lacquer with Yggdrasil

*press sample*

Hi guys! I know it's been a little quiet around here, but I'll have a few collections up very soon. The December Polish Pickup will be opening up this Friday at 11:00 AM EST, and unfortunately you may need to have some ninja fingers for this round. Since the makers will have a limited amount of time to ship items (due to the holiday season), every item will have a cap this month. Some will have a cap of hundreds, while some, like the one I'm showing tonight, will be very limited. The December inspiration was Enchanted Forest, and Stacy from Static Lacquer was inspired by the immense mythical tree Yggdrasil which connected the nine worlds in Nordic mythology. How cool is that, right?! This one will be available this Friday-Monday with a cap of just 25 bottles for $12 each

Static Lacquer Yggdrasil (3 coats)

Yggdrasil is a light minty green crelly base with pink to green UCC flakes and a strong copper shimmer finish. If you're not huge into flakies (but why aren't you?!), you'll still like Yggdrasil because it's light on them. The copper shimmer really stands out and is more evident in person than in photos (it still stands out in the bottle though). The first coat was a bit sheer, but it built up well in 3 thin coats. It dried with no texture, and was easy to remove as well.

Again, this has a cap of just 25 bottles, so if you plan on making multiple orders, make sure to get this one early so you don't miss out. To make things easier, make sure you have an account so you can start a wishlist on the website. I have an alarm already set for 10:58 AM EST (hey, a girl needs an extra couple minutes to prepare)! You can learn more about Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebookGroup, and Instagram pages, while you can find more about PPU on their Facebook page and website.
