Ginessa

Zoya Ginessa (3 coats)

Since we have a Zoya code tonight, how about another Zoya swatch? Ginessa is from the Ooh-La-La Collection. I know, the picture isn't the best. It is a white shimmer (it sort of looks silverish here, but it is white) that does not look like white out. Application was pretty different. It was on the thick side and would pool up on the sides of my nails. Despite being white, it is not sheer and is opaque in 3 coats.

Zoya Code!

I haven't had a chance to get a picture up yet, but there is a code for buy one get one free from Zoya with the code BG3. This offer is good until midnight EST.

Also, AveYou has a 10% off code using AYBSFALL09. I'm not sure when this code expires so use it soon just in case. They are already shipping the OPI Holiday 2009 colors unlike the other e-tailers.

Zoya Indigo

Zoya Indigo (2 Coats)

Today is a nice dark blue from Zoya called Indigo. The bottle pics show a fine purple glitter throughout, but it is barely detectable on the nail. It's too bad because I think that glitter would give a lot more depth to the polish. This is a nice one, but I'd have to say that I like Zoya Kotori better. No problems with application.

Frosty

BB Couture Frosty Meadow (2 Coats)

Frosty Meadow is a nice green glitter from BB Couture. This isn't quite an emerald green, but it is pretty close. The glitter doesn't stand out too much which might be nice for some of you. No application issues on this polish. Overall, it's a nice go-to color. As always, you can purchase the BB Couture polishes from Overall Beauty.

Last 2

OPI All A-Bordeaux the Sled (3 coats)

OPI Shim-Merry Chic (3 Coats)

Since I've been letting you guys down with finishing up this collection, you get 2 for today! The first is the dark reddish brown All A-Bourdeaux the Sled. This is a nice vampy color and applied better than other cremes in the collection. It seems like most of these need 3 coats to be opaque which could be worse.

The second is Shim-Merry Chic...yes, another flakie!! I do love the polish, but I still think I like the Merry Midnight flakie better. This is a nice bronze/gold color that I was worried would clash with my skin tone, but luckily I don't think it does. The flakies in this do not show up as well as they do in Merry Midnight unfortunately, but I still love this one and might end up getting a larger bottle once they are released elsewhere. Again, I'm sorry for the delay on this. I hope you like a few from the collection :-)

Malia+Audrey

Zoya Malia + For Audrey on Ring Finger (2 coats for both)

Sorry again guys. I have one more of the Holiday collection to swatch for you. I'm in Ohio visiting family right now (and yes, I bought some more Color Club colors at Meijer!!) so I've been busy this weekend. Today is Malia from Zoya which is a nice lavender purple creme. It is slightly darker on the nail than it is in the bottle. Application was great (as was For Audrey as I blogged about earlier) and opaque in 2 coats.

I went to Walmart tonight and considered the new Hard Candy polishes. They are $5, which I thought was a little on the expensive side. Perhaps I'm just spoiled from online e-tailers and their great prices. I mean, I can buy OPI for $5 online and I would rather spend my money on that. What do you guys think about the new Hard Candy polishes? Anyone want me to get any?

Comet Loves Cupid

OPI Comet Loves Cupid (3 coats)

Comet Loves Cupid is a nice red creme. I definitely think there are better looking reds in this collection, but unfortunately I didn't buy any. Since this was an OPI Mini, I had major pains applying this one. The brush was waaaayyyyy too small for application of this one. I'm surprised it turned out as good as it did. Overall, it's nice but not the best of the collection.

Holiday Glow

OPI Holiday Glow (3 coats)

I'm back for another swatch from the OPI Holiday 2009 collection. Holiday Glow is very complex. From afar it just looks like a dark brownish shimmer, but in fact it has red and gold shimmer throughout. I love it a lot more than I thought I would. With a thin topcoat, the polish really wasn't bumpy which is nice. Application was on the thin side on the first couple coats, but was opaque in 3. As you can see, I got the mini polishes (I will decide later if there are ones that I need full bottles of) which also make for application issues. This was not too important for this polish, but I will come back to this in a day or 2.

For Audrey

For Audrey (2 coats)

Sorry guys, I've been swamped and haven't had a chance to show another OPI swatch. I promise I will have one up tomorrow. I'm sure most of you have seen For Audrey before, but why not have another? It is a great Tiffany's blue color with nice application.

Merry Midnight!

OPI Merry Midnight (3 Coats)

FLAKIES!!! This polish is gorgeous! I have nothing else to say. Application was good and took 3 to make opaque.

Volans

Sinful Colors Volans (2 coats)
Volans is a dark reddish brown creme from Sinful Colors. Application, like most cremes, was harder to work with than a shimmer, but as far as cremes go, this had good application. I'm not blown out of the water, but overall this is a nice color to have around.

On a different note, I just got a few OPI Holiday colors today (a few days later than I expected)! I will be swatching these soon, so tune in.

It's a Jungle Out There...

NYX Jungle (2 coats)

Today is another new company to me called NYX. Do you see how beautiful this polish is?! It's a trichrome (is that a word?) of green, blue and gold. I cannot believe how awesome it is. The application was also great. I used 2 coats, but as you can see from the pictures, it could have used 1 more.

Real Garnet

Kleancolor Real Garnet (3 coats)
Kleancolor is a new brand to me. I just love trying new places! Unfortunately Real Garnet is just ok for me. It's a semi-jelly red that applied so watery. I've never had a polish go on like that before. Also, since it was so watery it took at least 3 coats to get it opaque. Despite some disappointment, I would definitely give them another shot. You can purchase Kleancolor polishes from their website, as well as from Cherry Culture.

Glitters glitters glitters!

China Glaze Carnival Lights (2 coats)

Gah, I still don't know why some of my pictures rotate like this. It doesn't show up this way on any other programs I open them on. Weird. Anyway, as many of you have heard, China Glaze is coming out with 50 new glitters here soon. Most are already available to purchase at Victoria's Nail Supply so check there first. Today is Carnival Lights that is a pink jelly with larger multicolored glitter and a dusting of small silver glitter. I do love this color, and it applied like a charm (with only 2 coats!).

Final Day

Color Club Rule Breaker (2 Coats)

Today is the final day for the Wild at Heart Collection by Color Club. Rule Breaker is a green/blue teal shimmer. I have several greens, but I don't think I have one exactly like this. Not the best of the collection, but it is a great color to have around. It was opaque in 2 coats and had no application issues.

The final component of the set is the 0-60 Speedy Topcoat. I used this topcoat for a week before giving it this review. First off, it does not dry in 60 seconds. It mostly dries after probably 10 minutes or more, but it stays sticky for much longer. I think I am just used to Poshe and Seche topcoats that really do dry to the touch in 1 minute. The topcoat is ok and I'll use it up, but it won't be a repurchase for me.

I hope you all enjoyed this collection. I should be getting a few polishes from the new OPI Holiday Collection in the next couple of days. I will have swatches up for you guys as soon as possible :)

Love 'Em or Leave 'Em

Color Club Love 'Em or Leave 'Em (2 coats)
Love 'Em or Leave 'Em is a nice beige/tan holo. It's not quite as striking as Wild at Heart, but it's still a great holo. I don't think it really goes well with my skin tone, but it's still a nice holo so it's definitely a keeper. Application was great like always.

With Abandon

Color Club With Abandon (2 coats)

With Abandon is definitely a dark color. I was hoping this one would not appear completely black in inside light, and it does not disappoint. It is black with coppery glitter throughout. This isn't my favorite of the collection, but it is still a great polish. It sort of reminds me of Lava Rock from Barielle, but it has chunkier glitter and it is more brown than red. The application was slightly thicker than the others, but it wasn't bad.

On the Wild Side

Color Club On the Wild Side (2 coats)
In the bottle, I thought this color was a simple gray frost/metallic, but after applying it, it has subtle hints of a dusty blue color as well. I really do like this color, but you really need to be careful about streaking (I tried my best and you can still see some of the lines). Despite the streaks, the application was very good as usual.

Wild at Heart

Color Club Wild at Heart (2 coats)
Wild at Heart is so beautiful. There really isn't much I can say about this that the picture doesn't show. It's a purple holo...one of the best purple holos out there. I had no idea the formula for Color Club was so smooth. It is not too thick or too thin. Anyway, I love this so much. If you decide to get only one from this collection, Wild at Heart is the one to get.

Wild and Willing

Color Club Wild and Willing (2 coats)
Today I will be starting the Wild at Heart Collection from Color Club. I'm embarrassed to say this is the first time I've really used Color Club. Now that I have, I will definitely be a returning customer. Wild and Willing is a coppery gold shimmer that is stunning. Even my husband said that it is more beautiful in person than pictures. Looking at the polish straight on makes the polish look coppery or bronze. When I would turn my fingers it would turn almost completely gold! So awesome. Application on this was great with no problems.

You can purchase this whole collection at Victoria's Nail Supply for $13.50.

Drama Queen

Massini Drama Queen (3 coats)
You may know Massini by their bigger name, Color Club. Apparently they are repackaged and named for Meijer stores for you gals from the Midwest. Drama Queen is a red and silver glitter with a clear base. It looks really glittery from the bottle, but this took 3 coats and it probably could have one more since the nail is still visible in spots. I love glitters, but this doesn't have the wow factor that most glitters have. It really applied great for a glitter, but as always it was a pain to remove. For those of you who have a Meijer nearby, make sure to pick up a few since they are great quality and price!

I think I will be starting the new Wild at Heart Collection from Color Club. There seem to be a few amazing ones in this group. Until next time, enjoy your Friday night!:)

Seashell

BB Couture Seashell (3 coats)
At first I didn't think Seashell was an appropriate name for this polish, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, I guess it fits. It does look like the inside of a conch shell. This is a very girly pink creme, but it's not my favorite. It was fairly sheer (as it needed at least 3 coats) and sort of reminds me of an Essie. Despite it not being my favorite color, it did apply wonderfully.

Note to Self

Sephora by OPI Note to Self (2 coats)
Happy Hump Day! Note to Self is a nice shimmery orange color by Sephora by OPI. The shimmer on this one is a bright yellow and is quite beautiful. Even without the pro wide brush, there was no application issues with this one. Overall it is a nice summery color (despite the weather starting to tell me otherwise around here).

Konad of the Day

Color from Icing (?) with Konad (2 coats color)
I bought this color from Icing in one of the sets they have. I couldn't find the name of it anywhere. If anyone can help me, please let me know the name! The color is an awesome olive green color (opaque in 2 coats). For some reason the brushes they have aren't my favorite.

I actually used a Konad for this one! If you don't know what a Konad is, this should help. I am still quite the novice when it comes to stamping, so it definitely doesn't look perfect. Practice makes perfect. You don't necessarily need their polishes, but I ended up getting one in white and black. There is a 20% off code (xsparkage) that can be applied and they shipped the same day for me!

Pink Peony

Adoree Peony (2 Coats)

For some reason, when I think of a peony, I think of a light pink. After a quick Google image search, I stand corrected. I found several pictures that are the color of this polish. It actually has more glittery shimmer than I thought (it was a little harder to get off than I imagined). I do love the color and the multicolored shimmer, but the application on this was horrible for me. After one hand I had to add several drops of thinner which helped some (but definitely could have used a couple more drops).

Dupe?

BB Couture Venice Party (2 coats)
Rescue Beauty Lounge recently released polishes based on wants from several well-known nail bloggers. One favorite color was called Scrangie that was a purple color with hints of blue and green. They claim there is no dupe out there, but I find Venice Party to be pretty close. For those of you, like me, who are on a budget, this BB Couture polish is half the price of the RBL's Scrangie. Also, there are sometimes specials on the Couture polishes. I'm sorry I don't have any comparison pictures (again, it was too expensive), but there are several pictures on Makeup Alley and the Scrangie blog that you can find. Venice party is a bluish purple with hints of multicolored shimmer (including green). I hope you like it!

Pippa

Zoya Pippa (2 Coats)
Sorry for the late post, our power went out for awhile. I realized today that I haven't posted a yellow polish yet. Most of you know how problematic yellow polish can be. I found Pippa to be better than most. The color is almost the same as a yellow Skittle (a friend actually gave me a Skittle the day I  had this polish on...it was so close to the same!). Also I have a few other yellows that don't look good with my skin tone. I think this one works though.

Last Day for Barielle

Barielle Glammed Out Garnet (2 Coats)
So today is the last polish from the Barielle Collection. I hope you liked the colors. Don't worry, I will be getting some of a brand new collection soon *cough, OPI, cough*. Glammed Out Garnet is a lovely shimmery red. It contains fine red glitter, but it's not too in your face with it. I know I keep saying every day about how nice each of the colors are, but I really love them. Application on this was very good unlike a few of the others.
For Labor Day, Barielle has a special where you get 10% off plus free shipping if you order at least $60, 15% on $75, and 20% off $100. As always, their polishes are buy 2 get 1 free with 2 free samples with each order. Also, all first time customers are sent a coupon code after you register that you can use for 10% off, I believe. And finally, if you have ordered from them before, some people were saying that if you keep items in your cart for longer than 24 hours they send you a coupon for 10% off. I have never done this, so I'm not sure if it is true.

Falling Star

Barielle Falling Star (2 coats)
I absolutely love this polish! It's definitely in my top 5 polishes of all time. Falling Star is a bluish (slightly purple) creme with copper glitter throughout. The glitter is such a contrast and really sets the polish apart from others. The only problem with it is the application. It was very thick and needs to be thinned out a bit. I really don't care because this polish is awesome!

Sweet Addiction

Barielle Sweet Addiction (2 coats)
So the polish today is NOT from the All Lacquered Up collection, but it is fun nevertheless. Sweet Addiction is somewhat of a creme pastel green, but there is a hint of deeper green that would stop me from saying it is a pastel. Hopefully this makes sense. Despite not necessarily a fall color, I will definitely be wearing this one before Spring pokes its head around the corner again because it is a nice green. Also, application on this one was great in 2 coats.

Lava Rock

Barielle Lava Rock (2 coats)

Lava Rock is a dark vampy red/purple shimmer. You know how some colors like this look black indoors, well this one does not have this problem. Like Essie's Rock Star Skinny, this is not a normal color I would wear, but I do love it! Application was a bit thick, but not too hard to work with. This is definitely a unique color that is very wearable for the fall.
