Polish Pickup March 2023 Rainy Days: Noodles Nail Polish

 *press sample*

Hello hello! This week sort of flew by. My parents came and visited last weekend for the first time in almost a year. My dad has had some health issues that made him unable to travel (which is really hard for him because he loves to travel), so this was his first adventure in quite some time. Of course, time always flies by too quickly, but we had a great time. Can you believe it's March already? I sort of can because it has been in the 70s to 80s in North Carolina for the past couple weeks. Winter never really came this year. What about your neck of the woods?

This Friday Polish Pickup is upon us once again. Wishlisting is open, so you can browse at your leisure until it goes live on Friday, March 3rd. This month's theme is Rainy Days which is quite appropriate for March. I expect to see some beautiful blue and green polishes this month! Also make sure to join the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook Group as swatches pop up there all the time.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, March 3rd and ends on Monday, March 6th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Just a heads-up, PPU raised their base shipping rates from $3 to $4 for the lightest packages. USPS keeps raising their prices, so at some point it gets too high and brands cannot eat those prices forever. Let's get a closer look at this month's Noodles Nail Polish offering.

Noodles Nail Polish Roses and Raindrops (2 coats)
Inspiration: raindrops on pink roses
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: none

Yes, we got a blue this month! Roses and Raindrops is a bright sky blue crelly base with various shades of pink matte glitters and a touch of iridescent glitters in hexagonal shapes. I used 2 thicker coats for full opacity, but you may want 3 if you use really thin ones, or you have long nails with a strong visible nail line. I went for a glitter smoothing topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat for my swatches, but two coats of a regular topcoat can often smooth the glitters if you don't have the glitter grabber. If you want a quality glitter smoothing topcoat, check out the one from Glisten and Glow which you can buy during the PPU sale and not have to pay more for shipping through their site.

There you have it, folks! You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group

Noodles Nail Polish Winter Collection 2023 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello hello! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! If you're an old reader of the blog, you'll know my husband and I go to IHOP for Valentine's Day, but we decided to change it up this year and get our packcakes elsewhere. The service just isn't great (likely because it's not a destination spot for a Valentine's Day dinner 😂) so it's time for something new. If you missed it, don't forget to check out last week's post featuring the Valentine's Day trio. It's been a busy couple weeks of releases for Noodles Nail Polish! Tonight I have the new 8-piece collection to share with you, and it will be available this Friday, February 17th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles website for $10.50.

This is gonna be very pic-heavy, so let's get to it, shall we?

Noodles Nail Polish Valentine's Collection 2023 Swatches and Reviews

 *pr sample*

Hello hello! I bet you were surprised to see I had another post already. I got a big package of polishes from Noodles Nail Polish with the first set being the Valentine's Day trio I have to share with you tonight. I just finished swatching the Winter Collection and it has a whopping 8 polishes, so stay tuned for that in the next week, too. This trio has 2 crellies and a glitter topper that will be available this Saturday, February 4th at 5 PM EST for $10.50 each

One change you'll see with this set is the addition of a fan brush opposed to the wide squared brushes that have been on the polishes for the past several years. The stock already poured and on the website still have the old brushes, but new collections will have the fan brushes. The caps and bottles are exactly the same. The brushes won't be available as replacements, but a few other makers sell them if you want to switch over. Honestly, this new brush is a game changer. It really made application a breeze. Here's a picture Natalie showed comparing the old vs. the new.

Shall we get a closer look at these polishes?

Polish Pickup February 2023 from Noodles Nail Polish: Movie Quotes

 *press sample*

Oh goodness, how is January almost over? This week is a wonderful week because I'm using a week of vacation time! I'm not going anywhere or seeing anyone, but I'm totally ok with a quiet staycation. How do you spend your quiet vacations (if you've ever had one)? This Friday Polish Pickup is upon us once again. Wishlisting went up last night, so you can browse at your leisure until it goes live on Friday, February 3rd. This month's theme is Movie Quotes which is quite open-ended. Unless the quote is descriptive, I think makers could take liberties while making a polish. Also make sure to join the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook Group as swatches pop up there all the time.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, February 3rd and ends on Monday, February 6th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Just a heads-up, I think I saw that PPU raised their base shipping rates from $3 to $4 for the lightest packages. USPS raised their prices yet again this month, so at some point it gets too high and brands cannot eat those prices forever. Let's get a closer look at this month's Noodles Nail Polish offering.

Noodles Nail Polish Mermaid Dancing (2 coats)
Inspiration: Pitch Perfect Quote "I can sing but I'm also good at modern dance, olden dance, and mermaid dancing"
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

While I don't like musicals, I absolutely loved Pitch Perfect! My husband loves Anna Kendrick, so I think that's what pushed us to watch it in the first place. Mermaid Dancing is a white crelly with matte and holo turquoise/blue/purple/fuchsia glitters, neon purple circular glitters, and a touch of holo flakes. Natalie knows how to make the perfect white crelly, and I only needed 2 medium coats for full opacity. This one does dry with texture due to all of the glitters, so I recommend a glitter topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to get that smooth finish you see in my photos.

Just a quick tip on using a glitter topcoat: I've read that some people have had some issues with the glitter topcoat not fully "filling in" the gaps made from glitter, and it's due to not being patient between the last polish coat and using the glitter topcoat. It's recommended that you wait several minutes for the polish to dry before adding the glitter topcoat because if the top layer is still wet, the glitter topcoat sort of gets sucked up into that final layer instead of filling in gaps and floating on top. Hopefully this is making sense. If you are having any issues, please feel free to ask.

There you have it, folks! Have you started your wish list for the month yet? Have a great rest of the week!

Polish Pickup January 2023 Greek Mythology: Noodles Nail Polish Just Do It

 *press sample*

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great holiday; I went to Maryland for Christmas, and did my usual nothing for New Year's Eve. I received way too many presents that I did not deserve. I wasn't that good this year 😉 I feel like Polish Pickup is always sneaking up on me every month. This month's theme is Greek Mythology which I'm surprised wasn't already done. I know that monsters and mythical creatures was one, but never Greek Mythology. The website just opened for wishlisting, but also make sure to join the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook Group as swatches pop up there all the time.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, January 6th and ends on Monday, January 9th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Let's get a closer look at this month's Noodles Nail Polish offering.

Noodles Nail Polish Just Do It (2 coats)
Inspiration: The Goddess of Victory, Nike
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

This month Natalie took inspiration from a goddess that I honestly forgot was from Greek Mythology. Oops! I was just thinking of the shoe company...I know! Just Do It was inspired by none other than Nike, and the polish is a black crelly base with white matte, silver and gold holo, and gold metallic glitters and a touch of scattered holo finish. I found this one to be on the verge of a jelly, but it's definitely a crelly because it was opaque in just 2 normal coats. You can use normal strokes because the glitters are a bit smaller and stay in place as you apply the polish. There's just something classy about a black/silver/gold color combination, right?

There you have it, folks! Have you started your wish list for the month yet? Have a great rest of the week!
