Emily de Molly Swatch and Review: Positive Contact

Emily de Molly Positive Contact (2 coats)

Hi guys! I hope you've had a good Hump Day. The week is flying by, despite being back from a short work week. Not much is going on here. I ordered a ton of items between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, and some of them are making their way to me. One of these items is a new Tuft & Needle Mint mattress which was delivered today. I can't wait to see how we like it! Do any of you out there have one? Tonight I've got a magnetic polish from Australian indie brand Emily de Molly. I have a very strong "c" curve to my nail, so the magnetic line is a little more diffused on the sides compared to those with flatter nails.

I applied my base coats and the first coat like normal. I then applied a thicker second coat to a single nail and quickly placed the magnet as close to my nail as possible for at least 45 second (or until my hand got tired) before moving on to the next nail. After all nails had 2 coats, I applied a quick-dry topcoat to each nail and placed the magnet over the nail again for about 15 seconds. It sounds like a long process, but it goes pretty fast once you get the hang of it. Positive Contact drew me in from the photos on the Emily de Molly website so you should check them out. It flashes between rose gold, blue, and purple depending on the angle. This one is definitely more beautiful in person. If you have flatter nailbeds, the magnetic line will likely be more striking.

I'm very particular with the magnetic polishes I purchase and I don't have anything like Positive Contact in my expansive collection. If you don't mind a little extra work in applying your polish, I definitely recommend this one. It is available now for $10 (without the magnet). You can find out more about Emily de Molly on their US/international websiteAU websiteFacebookInstagram, or Twitter pages.

Zoya Gift Sets and Cyber Monday Sale w/ Photos

*press samples*

Hi guys! I just got home from visiting family, and I just wanted to write a quick post about Zoya's Cyber Monday offerings. All items are 50% off with the code YAY now through 11:59 PM EST tomorrow night. That's right, you can get all Zoya polishes for just $5 each. I also recommend their base coats and Remove Plus acetone because it's not too harsh, and the pump bottle is the bomb. If you thought $5 per polish is good, then you need to check out their gift sets available for a whopping 70% off with the code GIFT! That's right, you can get 4 polishes for just $9 and shipping is free on orders of $30+. Zoya sent along several of their gift sets for me to share with you, and I thought it would be best to show some photos while they're such a good deal. I didn't have time to do swatches yet, but I hope to have those for you soon.

Zoya Polish and Hot Lips Quads

Zoya All Snuggled Up Quad ($30, sale price $9)

Zoya Snow Kissed Duo ($15, sale price $4.50)

Zoya Taste of Winter Duo ($15, sale price $4.50)

These would make the perfect stocking stuffer, teacher gift, or co-worker gift. The price is right, the quality top-notch, and there's a color for everyone. If you're not sure what color someone would like, it would be best to go with a neutral/nude set. If there's one color in a quad that you're interested in, just buy the whole quad. You can always gift the others, or you may find a new favorite for yourself. I haven't 100% finalized my list yet, but I'll be picking up a few items for myself. Zoya polishes normally retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy.

*These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative. All reviews are based solely on my opinion. For more information, please see my full disclosure at the bottom of the site*

Emily de Molly Group Customs Swatches and Reviews: Opal Illusion and Symbiosis

Hi guys! It's almost Thanksgiving! I'll probably be taking the rest of the week off to visit with my family. I will definitely be lounging around and eating way too much food. Make sure to check your social media pages often because there will be plenty of Black Friday sales going on. I'll have the Zoya Holiday 2018 collection up soon, as well as some swatches from Starlight and Sparkles. The polishes I have for you tonight cannot be found on the Emily de Molly site because they are group customs. You'll need to join the Emily de Molly Fan Group on Facebook to find the links to purchase them (they are $10 apiece). Hayley said they will be available for several months, so you should have plenty of time before they go away. Shall we get to it?

Noodles Nail Polish Holiday 2018 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I meant to post this yesterday, but I ended up getting a tetanus shot which left me feeling a little crappy the rest of the night. Long story short, I needed the shot anyway, and I may have been accidentally bitten by Mr. Nose (my cat) while trying to give him a pill. He didn't mean to; he was just trying to stop me from giving him the pill and get away. That said, I'm feeling a bit better today. I've been so excited to make this post since the day the box came in the mail. This is my first holiday collection reviewing for Noodles Nail Polish, and I couldn't wait to see what Natalie had in store for us. *hint you won't be disappointed*

The collection will be released this Friday, November 16th at 6 PM EST. Each polish will be sold individually for $9.50 each in the Noodles Nail Polish site. I don't have photos of them, but 3 previously sold holiday-themed polishes will be available as well (Bah Hum Bug, Peppermint Twist, and Resting Grinch Face). This is a very picture-heavy post, so I think we should get right to it.

Zoya Fall 2018 Element Collection Swatches and Reviews: Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! Happy Hump Day! It's been a pretty uneventful week so far, but I'm sure those will be few and far between as the holidays are right around the corner. As promised, I've got the final 6 polishes from the Zoya Element Collection. It's full of pinks and purples, and that's evident from the second set of colors. I'm working on the Winter Collection swatches right now, so those should be posted in a week or so. This post is pic heavy, so shall we get to it?

Zoya Fall 2018 Element Collection Swatches and Reviews: Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! I've been meaning to get this post out forever, and I'm glad it's finally happening. I decided to break up the Zoya Elemental Collection into 2 parts because I feel like some colors get lost when there are a million photos. It's a 12-piece collection featuring lots of pinks and purples in a variety of finishes. These are available now for $10 each in the Zoya store, or at your local Ulta. Shall we get to some swatches?
