Zoya Gift Sets and Cyber Monday Sale w/ Photos

*press samples*

Hi guys! I just got home from visiting family, and I just wanted to write a quick post about Zoya's Cyber Monday offerings. All items are 50% off with the code YAY now through 11:59 PM EST tomorrow night. That's right, you can get all Zoya polishes for just $5 each. I also recommend their base coats and Remove Plus acetone because it's not too harsh, and the pump bottle is the bomb. If you thought $5 per polish is good, then you need to check out their gift sets available for a whopping 70% off with the code GIFT! That's right, you can get 4 polishes for just $9 and shipping is free on orders of $30+. Zoya sent along several of their gift sets for me to share with you, and I thought it would be best to show some photos while they're such a good deal. I didn't have time to do swatches yet, but I hope to have those for you soon.

These would make the perfect stocking stuffer, teacher gift, or co-worker gift. The price is right, the quality top-notch, and there's a color for everyone. If you're not sure what color someone would like, it would be best to go with a neutral/nude set. If there's one color in a quad that you're interested in, just buy the whole quad. You can always gift the others, or you may find a new favorite for yourself. I haven't 100% finalized my list yet, but I'll be picking up a few items for myself. Zoya polishes normally retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy.

Butter London Yummy Mummy Polish and Lippy

Butter London Yummy Mummy (2 coats) and lip gloss (bottom photo)

Do you ever match your nails to your makeup? If you're like me, you don't. For some reason my nails are a wildcard and I'll rock a polish despite any outfit or makeup. For those of you who do care, Butter London has made it easy for you, coming out with matching polishes and lip glosses called Lippy. Today I have Yummy Mummy (weird name) to show you. It's a beige color with a hint of grey to keep things interesting and a beautiful sprinkling of shimmer. I really enjoy this one for days I want something neutral. The pigmentation and formula was great as well.

As you can see, the Lippy does match the polish pretty well. I wear lots of lipsticks and lip glosses so it was nice to test out what a nail polish company can do. It has a doe foot applicator which is normally great, but these glosses are pretty thick and sticky which made for difficult application. It's not a huge deal, but it does take a bit longer to apply. The other issue I had was with the smell. They have this really strong floral scent to them which can be a deal breaker for those with sensitive noses. I eventually get used to it, but it takes awhile to get to that point. I believe Butter London is going to reformulate the taste/smell so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

As I said previously, these are sticky glosses and I like sticky glosses because they last so much longer than slippery ones. These glosses definitely last a long time on the lips. Yummy Mummy is a nice neutral color that lots of skintones can wear (I'm an NC25). The price point is a bit high at $17, but is similar to other higher-end glosses.

Orly Sweet Collection

Orly Snowcone (2 coats)

 Orly Cotton Candy (2 coats)

Lipglosses

So as promised, here are two colors from the upcoming Sweet Collection from Orly due out in April of this year. First up is Snowcone. The description says, "Blueberry must be your favorite Snowcone flavor in Baby Blue Creme." I don't really get blueberry from this, but it really is an awesome baby blue creme color. In real life the color is slightly darker, but still really beautiful. The second polish is called cotton candy. The description for this one says, "Can't get enough Cotton Candy in Baby Pink Creme." Of course I can see why they called this one cotton candy, but I think it is slightly more complex than they lead on. For some reason I think there is a tiny hint of peach in there to give it a little something extra instead of a boring light pink creme.

As for the application, just look how smooth they are! As always, cremes are harder to apply than shimmers or glitters, so it is slightly thick. I didn't need to thin it out at all to use them though. Also, they are very pigmented and only needed 2 coats to be opaque. The first coat was slightly streaky, but there was no visible nail line after the second. Overall, I really like these and I can't wait to get the rest of the collection in April. Some people were saying, "Oh, pastel cremes for Spring, how original," but I really dig these. Just seeing these bright colors lifts my mood. What do you think, will you be purchasing any of this collection?

I almost forgot, the polishes came with cute little lipglosses that you can see in my last picture. As far as I remember, these weren't really sticky, but I don't really have much to say about them right now. I will edit this post when I have more time to use it.
