Noodles Nail Polish New Years Polish: 2023

 *press sample*

Hello hello! I hope you're having a great week so far; I'm super happy because I've taken a few days off of work this week and it's well-needed. Last week we had a big online sale, so we were extremely busy, and a co-worker got the flu so we were down a person. Thankfully I didn't catch it from her! Tonight I have the Noodles Nail Polish New Years Polish which will be available this Friday, December 9th at 5 PM EST for $10.

Natalie surprised us and gave us one last duo for the year and the "Mystery Christmas Duo" of 2022 will be a pair of glitter bombs! One is a topper and the other is a full coverage glitter. The duo is VERY limited and won't be restocked (they're winding down for a holiday break soon). I don't have these to show, but I just may need to place an order to pick them up. Shall we get a closer look at the last NNP release for the year?

Noodles Nail Polish 2023 (1 coat) over white

What a versatile topper! I just couldn't decide what to use as a base, so I went simple with white. 2023 is a clear based topper with violet/red/gold shifting flakes, pink/gold holo glitters, and black matte glitters. The flakes have this cool translucency to them. You won't get full opacity in 3 coats, but it's pretty close (from what I've seen from other's swatches). I didn't find that I needed to dab the glitters or flakes on and could just use regular strokes for this one. It dries with some texture, so I'd use a glitter topcoat to smooth it all out.

Don't forget, this comes out in just a couple of days, so set your alarms! You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group

Polish Pickup December 2022 Maker's Choice Swatches and Reviews

I'm back tonight with the final Polish Pickup for the year. Can you believe it?! From some rumblings around some Facebook groups, it sounds like there will be some changes to PPU next year, and I'll be interested to see how that goes. I'll make sure to post about that when it comes straight from the headquarters since perhaps some of it could be rumors. As I said in my last post, Issa from Starlight Polish is back and she has a new shade for this month's PPU. This month's theme is Maker's Choice which I think is a perfect way to end the year because I'm sure brands have prototypes that they love that just haven't fit with any theme, and they can use it here. The website just opened for wishlisting, but also make sure to join the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook Group as swatches pop up left and right there as well.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, December 2nd and ends on Monday, December 5th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Shall we get to some swatches?

Noodles Nail Polish Hanukkah Nights (3 coats)
Inspiration: Hanukkah decor
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

I just want to say how happy I am that there is a Hanukkah polish. I'm all about inclusivity, and not everyone celebrates Christmas, so give us all the variations! Hanukkah Nights gives us awesome glitter shapes, and I'm here for it. It's a pale blue crelly base with white/silver/blue glitters with white stars and blue moons. I went ahead and flipped the bottle for about a half hour before applying it to let the stars and moons sink to the top of the bottle. I used 3 thin coats for my photos while with the third I focused on dabbing the larger glitters on. Use thin coats, otherwise it can get too thick and you may get wrinkling when it dries. I would definitely recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat if you have one to make sure it evens it all out.

Starlight Polish Verdant Scales (2 coats)
Inspiration: I haven't been in the best place the last few months, so for this month, I decided to create a polish that made me happy.  I felt like making a green, and winter makes me think of dragons, so Verdant Scales was born.
Price: $16
Bottle Limit: 250 bottles

As someone who also had some tough months throughout the pandemic, I empathize with Issa. I'm so glad she's back to making new polishes, and I hope this creative outlet helps her even more. Verdant Scales is a green jelly with gold to bronze to green shifting old school UP sibling pigment, a touch of holographic shimmer, and scattered glitter, in both green to gold iridescent and green holographic. I did my best to show the shifting shimmer, but it's even more evident in real life. Don't be alarmed by it being a jelly; this one is still quite pigmented, and I got away with using just 2 coats for my swatches. Despite having a little glitter in there, just a regular coat of topcoat should be enough for a smooth finish.

There you have it, folks! I'm making sure to set aside some money for PPU this month, because I know all of us will be partaking in all these Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales going on. Have a great one!

Each polish will be priced at $10, and will released this Wednesday, November 23rd at 5 PM EST. And that's not all: Wednesday also marks the beginning of the Black Friday Sale. Here's what Natalie has to say about the sale:

"Starts Wednesday November 23rd at 5 pm EST and ends Monday 11:59 PM EST. 25% off  your entire purchase (excludes new holiday collection) no code necessary or minimum. Discount will be automatically applied at checkout.

Please note that since this discount is automatically applied it still counts as a coupon code and Shopify only allows one per transaction.  Any US orders $75 or more (after discount) qualify for free shipping and will have the shipping manually refunded by myself when I process your order for packaging.  International $7 discount will also be refunded.

Every order of 6 or more polishes will receive a FREE Black Friday 2022 mystery polish (while supplies last-it will be announced if they run out).

I can not combine orders during this sale due to high volume of orders. I apologize for the inconvenience.  I will not be able to restock anything that sells out, as shipping orders takes priority during the sale. I will restock what sells out as soon as I can, but nothing will restock during the sale. I am going to try my best to have a lot on hand, but you never know what will be most popular!"

Head on over to the website to see which polishes are eligible for the sale. This is going to be a very pic heavy post, so shall we get get this party started?

Starlight Polish Snow Day 2022 (1 coat) over Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress (2 coats)

Snow Day 2022 is a clear based topper with a mix of red and gold shimmer and flakes, meant to add a pop of warmth and sparkle over any color. Of course I used this over a black base so you can see all the extra goodies in this one as best as possible, but it truly can be worn over anything. It had the perfect density of flakes in just one simple coat and you can use regular brush strokes with it instead of having to dab it on. The flakes sit flat against the nail, so one coat of topcoat will easily smooth it all out.

Starlight has a wide variety of polishes and special effect toppers (see my previous posts here) so make sure to check out the store and to start a cart. Don't forget, the sale starts next Tuesday! You can find out more about Starlight and Sparkles on their websiteEtsy pageInstagramFacebook Group, and Facebook page.

Polish Pickup Tis The Season November 2022: Noodles Nail Polish Swatches and Review

 *press sample*

Happy Hump Day! Polish Pickup is upon us once again, and I can't believe we have only one more month this year. Where did the time go? Oh, and Daylight Savings Time starts this weekend, which means it'll be dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. This month's Polish Pickup theme is Tis the Season which is perfect timing so you can get your holiday colors in plenty of time to wear during December. Have you started your wishlist yet?

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET this Friday, November 4th and ends on Monday, November 7th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Shall we get to some photos of this festive beauty?

Noodles Nail Polish Festivus (2 coats)
Inspiration: Colorful ornaments
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

If you want a party on the nail, you need to get Festivus. This one is just full of holiday-inspired glitters! It's a white crelly base with red/green/silver/gold/purple/pink/blue metallic hexagonal glitters and a touch of fine red microflakes. Even though it has all of these colors, your eye will initially process the red and green the most which is why it reads "holiday." I used 2 thin coats for full opacity, and it applied flawlessly. It obviously dries with lots of texture from the density of glitters, so I recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat (if you don't have a glitter smoothing topcoat, you can always use 2 coats of your regular topcoat).

What will you be picking up this month? The shop is currently open for wishlisting, so start your carts, especially if there's a bottle limit on one you're looking to purchase. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

This 6-piece set features 5 creams and one shimmer/glitter shade. Shall we go and take a closer peek?

Polish Pickup October 2022 Sidekicks from Noodles Nail Polish

*press sample*

Hello hello! Long time no post, but worry not, because I'll be back in the next day or 2 to show you the upcoming Noodles Nail Polish Halloween quad. Tonight I've got this month's Polish Pickup from Noodles Nail Polish to share and the theme is Sidekicks. I've already made a cart, and it's...lengthy.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET this Friday, October 7th and ends on Monday, October 10th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Shall we get to some photos of this beauty?

Noodles Nail Polish Hei Girl Hei (2 coats)
Inspiration: HeiHei from Moana
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

I have a confession to make: I've never seen Moana. I know! Am I really missing out? Should I watch it this weekend? Hei Girl Hei is a deep teal crelly base with metallic and holo orange glitters and a touch of holo turquoise glitters. While this is really dark shade, it doesn't look black or anything. I love how the glitters look in the squishy base color! I used 2 coats for full opacity, and it dried with texture from all the glitters. I would recommend 2 coats of topcoat, or a glitter topcoat followed by a QDTC for that smooth finish.

What will you be picking up this month? The shop is currently open for wishlisting, so start your carts, especially if there's a bottle limit on one you're looking to purchase. Have a wonderful week!

Noodles Nail Polish Fall 2022 Collection Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello hello! I hope your week is off to a great start. I celebrated my husband's birthday this past weekend, but other than that, it's been quiet around here. Instead of a cake, he requested some rice crispy squares so we've been eating those for dessert and I'm ok with that. Tonight I have the newest collection from Noodles Nail Polish and it's an 8-piece set featuring crellies, a glitter topper, and a holo multichrome polish. Each polish will retail for $10 each, and they will be available this Friday, September 16th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles website.

As always, this is going to be a pic and text-heavy post, so we should get started.

Polish Pickup Scary Vibes September 2022 from Noodles Nail Polish: It's Fricken Bats

 *press sample*

Hi everyone! I spent the last weekend traveling to San Francisco for work, and, as usual, it was a beautiful mid-70s with not a cloud in the sky. I can't imagine living in a place without true seasons, but maybe I could learn to enjoy it. I've spent this week working and trying to catch back up on sleep. This month's theme is Scary Vibes, which is perfect timing for some upcoming Halloween manicures. Despite this being a pre-order, you should get your items in plenty of time (unless you are international). The shop is up for wishlisting, so let the shopping commence!

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET this Friday, September 2nd and ends on Monday, August 5th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website.

Noodles Nail Polish It's Freakin Bats (2 coats)
Inspiration: a haunted house at dusk
Price: $11.50
Bottle Limit: None

Bats are cool. I love watching What We Do in the Shadows and they yell "BAT!" and turn into a bat. It's Freakin Bats is a deep violet jelly base that leans a bit crelly with matte and holo black glitters, orange iridescent glitters, and orange holo glitters in hexagonal shapes. Just look at those iridescent glitters! They really glow on the nails. The formula was perfect in 2 coats, and I used regular strokes followed by dabbing motions for placing the glitters on the nail. It does dry with texture from the larger glitters, so I recommend a glitter topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat, or 2 coats of a thicker topcoat to smooth it all out.

I'm heading out now to shop and add to my wishlist. What will you be picking up?
