Noodles Nail Polish Halloween Collection 2022 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello again! I told you I'd be back soon with some spooky shades from Noodles Nail Polish. This 4-piece collection contains 2 glitter toppers and 2 crellies. They will be releasing this Friday, October 7th at 5 PM EST and all polishes will retail for $10 each. And don't worry, you should have these in plenty of time before Halloween because Natalie is notorious for fast shipping (of course, if you're international, this may not be the case). Shall we get to the good stuff?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 8/11/22*

Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one.

Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and "fill in" the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):

1. Glitter Grabber from Glisten and Glow
2. Gelous from American Classics
3. Smooth from Painted Phalanges (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)
5. Ooh Smooth! Glitter Smoothing Mid-coat from Dreamland Lacquer
6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take OffHit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there's always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish A Bunch of Hocus Pocus (3 coats alone or 1 coat over Zoya base)

Did you watch the new Hocus Pocus movie? I haven't, but I have plenty of time before Halloween. I'm really excited for a glitter topper that can also be used on its own if you'd like. A Bunch of Hocus Pocus is one of these toppers, so I went ahead and showed it both ways for you. It builds up nicely in 3 coats, and if you see any nail underneath, it's not really noticeable in real life (those blogger lights tend to show everything). It's a clear based topper with orange/pink/gold/indigo/ flakes and orange/violet holo glitters. It is definitely shiny and full of bling. It is extremely glitter/flake heavy, so you don't really need to dab it on (regular strokes is fine) unlike some toppers.

Noodles Nail Polish Amuck, Amuck, Amuck (2 coats)

Up next we've got Amuck, Amuck, Amuck which is our seasonal white crelly! It's a white crelly base with orange/lavender/purple/raspberry metallic glitters in hexagonal shapes. I feel like the combo of purple and orange has become the new Halloween color duo over black and orange, don't you think? I went ahead and used 2 coats for full opacity, and it does dry with texture, so bust out that glitter topcoat for a smooth finish.

Noodles Nail Polish Come, We Fly (1 coat over white)

Continuing on, we have my top pick from the collection, and it's a glitter topper! Come, We Fly is a cornucopia of exciting glitters! It's a clear-based glitter topper with silver holo moons, black matte stars, and purple/orange/black/silver/turquoise glitters in hexagonal and square shapes. This is a party on the nails. I recommend flipping the bottle over for about a half hour to allow the larger glitters to sink to the top so you can maximize the stars and moons for a mani. I also recommend using a dabbing motion for better glitter placement. This one dries extremely textured, so you will definitely need to double up on topcoat. Love it!

Noodles Nail Polish Sistahs! (3 coats)

Last, but not least we have Sistahs! which is a semi-sheer violet crelly base with orange microflakes, silver holo flakes, and a touch of a scattered holo finish. I'm sure you're not surprised to know that this is another top pick for me. It's that purple and orange combination again! I don't know if you noticed or not, but this one doesn't have any glitter! You know what that means? One coat of topcoat will be plenty, and removal will be easier. I'm a glitter lover, but sometimes I get excited about a quick nail polish change.

What do you think of this collection? My top picks have to be Come, We Fly and Sistahs! but they're all beautiful polishes that can be used throughout October, or really any time of year. Make sure to set your alarms for Friday to pick up this set. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group
