Zoya Naturel 3 Collection Swatches and Reviews: Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! Tonight I have the first of 2 parts from the Zoya Naturel 3 Collection. Every year Zoya releases a 6-piece "transitional" collection of cremes between the winter and spring collections, and it features neutrals or nude polishes. I like to just call these colors my palate cleansers. I, like others, am a huge fan of bright colors and glitters during the holiday season, so it's nice to have something a little different to make you appreciate those bright colors when you come back to them. How about we get to some swatches?

Different Dimension Halloween 2016 Poe Collection: Nevermore and Once Upon a Midnight Dreary

Hi guys! It's Friday Eve and I can't wait for the weekend. I don't really have any specific plans except to swatch the Tonic Holiday Collection that should be here in the next day or 2. There hasn't been such buzz about a new indie brand in years, and I can't wait to see what the buzz is all about. Tonight I have 2 of the 4 polishes from the Different Dimension Poe Collection. Fun fact: I am a huge Edgar Allan Poe Fan. I've always wanted to visit the museum in Baltimore, but thus far I haven't been successful in getting there. Anyway, with that how about we get to some swatches?

Polish 'M Black Friday Limited Edition Polish Swatches and Review: Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Polish 'M Cold Hands, Warm Heart (2 coats)

Hi guys! Despite showing a polish tonight that was released back on Black Friday, it is actually still for sale! When it first went on sale, it sold out pretty much immediately and was only restocked a couple times. I have no idea how there are a few bottles left, but if you like it, I would buy it sooner rather than later.

Cold Hands, Warm Heart is a lavender crelly base with loads of subtle multi-colored microglitter and flakes. No one color stands out the most, but I see some pink, silver, green, and blue pieces. Oh, and if you have been lucky enough to try Michelle's polishes, you know how great she is at adding a strong shimmer in the background. Cold Hands, Warm Heart has this really cool aqua blue shimmer to it (unfortunately it's hard to photograph). I used 2 coats for the swatches above, and the formula was just perfect.

This retails for $8 and can be found on the Polish 'M website right now. I have no idea how long it's going to be up, but I highly recommend pretty much all of Michelle's colors. You can find Polish 'M on their storefrontFacebookInstagram, and Facebook Group pages (don't forget to use the code Right30 for 30% off your purchase).

Great Lakes Lacquer Fantasmic Flakies Group Custom: Emerald Waters

*purchased with a blogger discount*

Great Lakes Lacquer Emerald Waters (3 coats)

Hi guys! I bet you're surprised to find me blogging on a Sunday, but I figured I could at least show a polish that is no longer available. I always feel bad showing things that you cannot buy anymore, but at least you can see some more pretty polishes (and maybe get a bottle in a destash sale). The color I have to show tonight is a group custom for the Facebook Group Fantasmic Flakies. Megan Elise is the admin for the group and she has done a great job getting some group customs done.

Emerald Waters was the November 2016 custom done by Mariah from Great Lakes Lacquer and is an emerald green jelly base with teal/green/gold/aqua flakes. What a gorgeous polish! It is chock-full of flakes and still lays completely flat on the nail and was not too hard to remove. Polish-lovers rejoice! The formula was buttery smooth, and I used 3 coats for the photos above. You may be able to get away with 2 coats if you have shorter nails, but I'd still recommend 3 coats for more dimension.

Make sure to check out what Great Lakes Lacquer is up to on their Facebook and Instagram pages as well. Also, go check out Fantasmic Flakies to catch the next group custom.

*These polishes were provided by the brand at a discounted price. All reviews are based solely on my opinion. For more information, please see my full disclosure at the bottom of the site.

Paint Box Polish The 12 Collection Swatches and Reviews: Axe Fight, Hey Missy!, and The Ultimate Warrier

Hi guys! Tonight I'm back with the final 3 polishes from Paint Box Polish's 12 Collection I started on Tuesday. While the first 2 polishes were some astounding multichrome colors, the last 3 have a variety of finishes. Shall we get started with some swatches? Let's do this!

Paint Box Polish Axe Fight (2 coats)

Axe Fight is a black crelly with fine silver holographic flakes and red shimmer. Unfortunately it's sort of hard to see the shimmer in the photos, but it's there. This one reminds me of space, and would be perfect for anyone too scared to wear just a plain black creme. I didn't think much of it in the bottle, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved this one! It applied well in just 2 easy coats.

Paint Box Polish Hey Missy! (2 coats, natural finish)

Paint Box Polish Hey Missy! (2 coats, w/topcoat)

It's been awhile since any brands have released some matte polishes, so I was surprised with the finish on Hey Missy! It's a deep plum color with a matte finish. I personally like it better with topcoat, but that's just me. It practically applied itself in 2 coats and dried really quickly with the matte finish if you don't want to add topcoat.

Paint Box Polish The Ultimate Warrior (3 coats)

No, not this Ultimate Warrier:

Man, I wish this was the inspiration because how colorful would that be?! Now that I think of it, has there been any polish collections inspired by WWF/WWE wrestlers? When I was a really young child in the 80s, I was a big wrestling fan. Just me? I haven't watched it in years, but it was fun when I was a kid. Ok, back to The Ultimate Warrier the polish. It's a really deep burgundy color with lots of red and gold glass-flecked shimmer. Have I mentioned lately how much I love glass-flecked shimmer? I don't normally go for red polishes, but this one is just too special to ignore. It wasn't too sheer, but I used 3 coats for added depth.

Overall, I'm really happy I bought the whole collection in mini bottles. If you can only get a couple, definitely get the multichrome polishes, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The 12 Collection is still for sale on the Paint Box Polish website, and the mini polishes start at $6 each. Find out more about Paint Box Polish on their websiteFacebook, and Instagram pages.

Paint Box Polish The 12 Collection Swatches and Reviews: The Impossible Girl and Who Are You?

Hi guys! I was planning on blogging late last week, but time got away from me. I was out of the state for the Philly Pen Show this weekend for work. Pen shows are really awesome, but also exhausting when you're working the whole time. Basically it's 3 days of 9-hour work days with absolutely zero breaks. I'm not complaining though, because I get the chance to meet some really interesting people. Tonight I'm finally starting the other multichrome polishes from Paint Box Polish's 12 Collection. These are inspired by the 12th Doctor on Doctor Who. I was a huge Doctor Who fan during the 9th and 10th doctor times and David Tennant will always be my Doctor. I was ok with Matt Smith, but for some reason I just cannot get into the Capaldi era. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of Clara? I dunno, my husband liked Clara so I'm not sure. Anyway, let's see what Pam of Paint Box Polish came up with for Capaldi.

Paint Box Polish Multichrome Madness Group Custom Swatches and Review: Amortentia

Paint Box Polish Amortentia (3 coats)

Hi guys! Are you a part of the Facebook Group Multichrome Madness? I've been in the group for a few months now, and tonight's polish is the first group custom. If you're anything like me, you are in a ton of Facebook polish groups, and it's just a plus when exclusives are sold. This is the first time reviewing Paint Box Polish, but I couldn't just get 1 polish. I'll be showing the entire 12 Collection later this week, so stay tuned!

You may remember Amortentia as a love potion from the Harry Potter series. Pam, the genius behind Paint Box Polish, is a huge Harry Potter fan, so it's no surprise she chose this for inspiration. The polish is a multichrome with flashes of purple/pink, green, and gold. Come on! The shift is amazing on this one, and I'm so sad to mention that this is no longer for sale. There is a silver lining to the situation because several colors from the 12 Collection are other gorgeous multichromes. Check back later this week to see what Paint Box Polish has to offer.

Find out more about Paint Box Polish on their website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

I'm BACK! and Great Lakes Lacquer Winter 2016 My Winter Survival Kit Collection Swatches and Review: Freshly Fallen Snow

*purchased with a blogger discount*

Great Lakes Lacquer Freshly Fallen Snow (2 coats, diffused LED light)

Great Lakes Lacquer Freshly Fallen Snow (2 coats, direct LED light to show holo effect)

I know, I've been away for weeks, but there are reasons. REASONS! I had family in for the holidays and just didn't have time to post. As soon as they left I went and visited my parents in Knoxville where my mom proceeded to get me sick. Thanks, mom! I'm still sick, but I'll deal. Did you have a good New Year's Eve and day? How are your resolutions going? My resolution is to keep the blog going for another year. You may have noticed that a ton of great bloggers have recently decided to quit. I get it, I really do. Of course I've considered quitting, but I'm just not there yet. On that note, shall we get to the review for today?

Freshly Fallen Snow comes from the My Winter Survival Collection from Great Lakes Lacquer. It's a silver metallic with loads of silver flakes and a holo finish. If you love that silver tinsel you put on trees, then you will love this polish. I wasn't sure if 2 or 3 coats would be needed, but I easily got away with 2. The formula was a tad thicker than some of my other GLL polishes, but I'm sure that it's from all of the flakes in here. In no way was it was hard to apply though.

Freshly Fallen Snow is still still available for purchase on the Great Lakes Lacquer website (which is no longer on Etsy) for $11. I love it and wholeheartedly recommend Mariah's polishes to any nail enthusiast. Make sure to check out what Great Lakes Lacquer is up to on their Facebook and Instagram pages as well.

*These polishes were provided by the brand at a discounted price. All reviews are based solely on my opinion. For more information, please see my full disclosure at the bottom of the site.
