Noodles Nail Polish Valentine's Day 2019 Duo Swatches and Reviews

I'm back with another duo, this time for Valentine's Day. This won't be the last you hear about Noodles Nail Polish this week, because I still have the 6-piece Winter 2019 Collection to show you. This Valentine's Day duo will be debuting this Friday, February 1st at 6 PM ET in the brand new Noodles Nail Polish website. Natalie is well-known for her glitter crellies, and it just so happens that both of these are beautiful crellies. These will retail for $9.50 each, and will be sold individually. Noodles Nail Polish Daydreamer (3 thin coats)

Up first we have Daydreamer which is a pale pink crelly base with gold flakes, glitter, and shimmer. This is a soft shade, and I love pink and gold together. Since this one is more pastel-like, it was slightly streaky on the first coat, but built up well with the second. I went ahead with a third just to make sure everything was covered (bright lighting tends to show everything), but you'd be just fine with 2. It dries with a little texture from the glitter, so make sure to use a thicker topcoat to smooth everything out. It also dries with more of a satin finish from the pigment, so topcoat will help with that, too. 

Noodles Nail Polish Once Upon a Time (2 coats)

Once Upon a Time is a lavender crelly base with magenta, violet, and fuchsia hexagonal glitters, and fine silver flakes. This is Natalie in a bottle. If you've tried glitter crellies from other brands that were thick and hard to apply, please do yourself a favor and try one from Noodles. I think I'll wear this on my Valentine's date to IHOP (don't ask...yes, our tradition is to eat at IHOP on Valentine's Day). This is 2 easy coats, and it dries with some texture from the glitters. I often get asked what peel-off basecoat I use, and I use the UNT Ready for Take Off. Removal of glitter polishes is easy-peasy. 

Noodles ships extremely fast, so you shouldn't have a problem with getting them in time (as long as you're in the US, of course). I honestly don't have a favorite of the 2. Both of these are quintessential Valentine's Day shades, with a Noodles twist. Northern Star Polish July 2017 Polish Pickup Exclusive Swatches and Review: Shark Bite

Hi guys! Long time, no blog. Guess who has jet lag? San Francisco was nice...at least as much as I got to see of it. They say you need 24 hours per time zone change to readjust and I'm right in the middle of it. Tonight I have another exclusive polish from Polish Pickup which I mentioned a couple weeks ago. If you need a little refresher on how it works, follow the link here for more information. Northern Star Polish is run by Kristen and she's been making polish for years. Last year she took a long hiatus and this is her way of getting back into the polish game. She made some of my favorite cuticle oils, but it doesn't look like she's making those yet. On the bright side, Northern Star Polish is releasing another polish for September's Polish Pickup and you can see that here. 

I know, I know, Shark Bite isn't for sale anymore, but at least you can see a pretty swatch and learn a bit more for the pre-order which goes from 9/1-9/4. It's a teal blue cream base with fuchsia microglitter and aqua blue shimmer. It's extremely saturated, but I didn't have any issues with staining. That said, this is the type of color that may stain so don't forget your base coat! The formula was just perfect, and I needed just 2 coats for full coverage. Even with the microglitter, it does not dry textured so you can use pretty much any top coat you have around. This is supposed to be named after a drink, but I've never heard of a Shark Bite. Please tell me I'm not the only one! 

Obviously this has everything I love in a polish. Saturated color? Check. Contrasting shimmer/microglitter? Check. Good formula? Check. I'll definitely be purchasing a few polishes from this month's Polish Pickup and there's a good chance I'll get Take a Bite from Northern Star Polish. Hi guys! I hope the start of your week is off to a great start! I was completely swamped at work today, but that's not always a bad thing. Oh, and there will be another Nibs & Nails this week, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Tonight I'll be starting the shimmery side of the Zoya Urban Grunge collection. This side of the collection features 3 holo finishes and 3 glass-flecked metallic finishes. Without further ado, let's do this!

Hi guys! Sorry I was MIA on Friday, but I was in Atlanta for a fountain pen show. I even talked to a maker who makes his own acrylic resins and I recommended he add some holographic shimmer to them because nail polish fanatics would be all over that! If that ends up happening I'll let you know. Tonight I have a color from the Zoya for Redbook Trio that I received in my 2015 Mystery Box a few months ago. Marjorie is a deep fuchsia glass-flecked polish with lots of pink and blue shimmer. Zoya really knows how to do a glass-flecked polish (China Glaze is up there as well...when they actually decide to do them). I had no formula issues to mention, and it was opaque in just 2 coats. You can still buy this polish, but you have to buy the trio for $27. If I get the chance, I'll go ahead and post the other 2 colors which includes a cherry red creme and a gold glitter topper.

Hi guys! It's so hot here! Like about 100 degrees every day hot. And even worse the ends isn't in sight. Stay cool if you can.

The next 2 polishes from the Island Fun collection are Jace and Nana. Jace is such a weird color for a summer collection, and I love it. It's an interesting murky green creme. I'm so happy that it doesn't stain like the blues in the collection. It is a bit sheer, but ends up opaque in 3 easy coats. Nana isn't an exciting color at all, but it is still one of those staple fuchsia pink cremes. I found it had the best formula and application of the collection. If you are going to pick one up from the collection so far, my pick would be Jace.

Hi guys! Sorry for not posting last night, but I've been working a ton and didn't have a chance to get anything up. Next month isn't going to be much better with me having to go to Stanford for a big, fancy piece of equipment. I'll be gone for over a week, so hopefully I can get ahead and start making some posts.

I'm slowly starting to get through my Rainbow Honey stash and I have Tsukimi for your viewing pleasure. It's a fuchsia/violet hybrid with tons of blue and silver(?) glitter. I can see mainly hexagonal glitters, but there are a few triangles and squares in there as well. I like the color combination, but I did not like the formula or application. I found it to be extremely thick and gloopy. Thankfully it only needed 2 coats for full coverage because a third would have looked like crap.

So fess up, how many of you already have your brackets for March Madness completely messed up? I think I'm ok so far, but there are definitely some upsets that I missed!

Tonight I have a Rainbow Honey polish from the Summer Mixed Tape Collection called Control. It's a bright fuchsia with tons of purple/pink microflakes. Usually I have to use 3 coats for Rainbow Honey polishes, but this one was extremely opaque in just 2. I found the formula to be a bit thick, but I'm used to that with the brand. Just remember, it's almost Friday! Oh, and don't forget about my giveaway that ends this weekend.  

Right on the Nail ~ SinfulColors Spring 2015 Bloomblast Glitter Collection Swatches and Reviews: Flower Power and Standing Bloom Only

Hump Day! I hope your week is going well (and fast). SinfulColors has 3-4 collections out for for this spring. They have the regular spring collection, the Opalescent Trend Toppers, the Citrus Twist Toppers, and the Bloomblast Glitter collection. Tonight I have the 2 of the 3 Bloomblast Glitter polishes. These clearly are all glitters, but each one has a different finish. You'll see!

SinfulColors Flower Power (3 coats)

Up first is Flower Power which is a baby pink jelly with magenta and white glitters. Going in, I didn't know if these would be opaque on their own, but 2 out of the 3 are. Flower Power has no underwear in the above swatches and covers completely in 3 coats. This reminds me of some colors you can see from some indie brands, so congrats to SinfulColors on trying something a bit different. Surprisingly, I had no issues with it being too thick or anything. 

SinfulColors Standing Bloom Only (3 coats)

Standing Bloom Only is a deep mango orange creme with fuchsia glitter. This one is also opaque in 3 coats, but looks less jelly-like than Flower Power. I love this combination of colors together!

Barielle Me Couture Fall 2014 Collection Swatches and Reviews: Berry Posh & Boho Chic

Boo, it's Sunday! Weekends just go by too quickly. Yesterday I watched Gone Girl with my husband and we both loved it. I read the book, and the movie followed the book like clockwork. 

Anyway, I have the Barielle Me Couture fall collection to show you over the next couple days, and I am very impressed. If you just look at the 2 colors I have to show tonight, don't they look great together? Up first is Berry Posh which is a berry fuchsia creme. It's not very unique (doesn't OPI have one of these for every collection?), but that doesn't mean it isn't pretty. Barielle always has a great application and formula, and this is no exception. 

The second color is called Boho Chic and is a deep forest green (and I mean deep) creme. Despite being dark, it never looks black. As I said above, Barielle has a great formula, but this one seemed a little thin. My application was horrible, and I apologize for these swatches.
