Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2022 Collection Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello everyone! Whew, I had a long weekend. Trade shows for work are back in full swing, so I had to travel to DC for one of the largest fountain pen shows in the country. We were so busy, and I've been working 11 days straight. So time really snuck up on me because I totally thought this collection released next Friday instead of this Friday...oops! While this is late for me, I'm glad to get this up before they go live on Friday, August 12th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website. This collection has it all *said in the famous Stefon voice....if you know, you know).

It's got glitter, it's got flakies, it's got crelly finishes, it's got jelly finishes, it's got toppers. All polishes will retail for $10 each as well. Time for swatches!

Noodles Nail Polish Beach Trio 2021 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hi everyone! It's a crazy world we are still living in, huh? Just when people thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel, the delta variant had to rear its ugly head. Please be safe, wear a mask, and get vaccinated if you can. On a much lighter note, I have a brand new trio to share that is releasing this week from Noodles Nail Polish. I would love to be at the beach, so at least these polishes can bring me there in spirit. These will be available this Saturday, August 14th, at 12 PM EST. The trio includes a glitter crelly, a micro glitter, and a shifty shimmer shade. Shall we get a better look at these warlocks?

Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2018 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I have the Summer Collection from Noodles Nail Polish to show you tonight. You know I've been extremely impressed with the variety of finishes and quality of Natalie's polishes, so let's see if this continues with this set. It's another 6-piece collection with glitter and flakes galore. These will release this Saturday, June 23rd at 5 PM ET and will only be available individually this time. All polishes will be priced at $9.50. Polish Con was this past weekend, and there were overpours! I asked Natalie about this and this is what she had to say:

"The neon trio will be available for $28. There are a limited amount of sets available and they will not be restocked once sold out. There will be a few individual bottles of “Cloud Nine” and “Paradise” available due to overpour which will be priced at $9.50 each and will not restock once sold out.
We will also be giving away our Polish Con exclusive “City Lights and Midsummer Nights” to anyone who purchases 3 or more bottles while supplies last. We have overpour and won’t be selling it since it was an exclusive, but in honor of our 5th anniversary we would like to share this polish with those who couldn’t make it :) There is no code necessary, it will be added to orders that qualify."

Count me in! I was eyeing the Polish Con exclusives in the Noodles Nail Polish Fans group (make sure to join us for all the fun) so I'll be getting those. So the Summer Collection and Polish Con polishes will all be available this Saturday. Whew, that what a lot of text, and I hope you're still with me. I think it's time to see some pretties, right?

This set features the 2 toppers that can be also be used on their own. Without further adieu, let's do this!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Travel Stories Adventure Land Collection Swatches and Review: Leaf Me Be

*press sample*

Sally Hansen Leaf Me Be (2 coats)

Hi guys! This week has been flying by...mostly because work has been really hectic. You know how it is when you get back from vacation. We have a pen show coming up soon, so it's a lot of packing. Tonight I have a polish from the first of 2 collections Sally Hansen has released this summer called the Adventure Land collection. It features 7 different polishes in a variety of finishes. I'll be completely honest with you, I've never been able to get the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat to work for me. For some reason, it always bubbles on me. I've ended up using Vapid Lacquer's top coat for my swatches and I've had no problems with bubbling of the polishes themselves. I've read that others have had the same thing happen, so I'm not sure what the problem is. There is no fan on in the room, and it's happened with a brand new bottle that isn't even thick.

Leaf Me Be is a dark hunter green creme that dries a shade darker on the nail compared to the bottle color. I love it! It's an unconventional summer color, and I'm so happy a mainstream brand has gone out of their comfort zone. It was also extremely pigmented and you'd likely get away with just 1 coat (of course I did 2 for good measure).

I have 2 polishes from the Romantic Rendezvous Collection coming this week so stay tuned. These collections are releasing this month and will cost $9.99 at retailers. Stay up-to-date all things Sally Hansen with their website, Instagram, and Twitter pages.

Zoya Summer 2017 Wanderlust Collection Swatches and Reviews: The Cremes Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! I'm a bad blogger...these reviews were supposed to go up on Friday, but I was a slacker. I have a 4-day weekend for the first time in a year, and I've bee taking advantage of it. I'm planning on going to the fireworks tomorrow, but I think it's supposed to rain. I hope you have a great 4th tomorrow if you're in the US (and happy belated Canada Day to my Canadian readers). To all of my other great readers, have a delightful Tuesday! Tonight I'm finally finishing up the cremes from the Zoya Wanderlust collection.  Zoya is currently having a buy 3 get 3 free sale going on now with the code 3COLOR, so you can go ahead and get any of the polishes that pique your interest.

Zoya Summer 2017 Wanderlust Collection Swatches and Reviews: The Cremes Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! How has your week been? I'm really looking forward to my long weekend, despite not having too many plans. I believe I have to go to a cookout on Saturday, but that's about it. We always go to the neighboring town's fireworks because they're just better. Other than that, I think I'll be laying low. Tonight I have the first set of cremes from the Zoya Wanderlust collection (there are 8 in total). I would have preferred 6 shimmers and 6 cremes, but that's just me. Shall we see what the first set has in store for us?

Zoya Summer 2017 Wanderlust Collection Swatches and Reviews: The Shimmers + Zoya Sale

*press samples*

Hi guys! I hope your week is off to a great start. I'm just sitting here watching the Bachelorette which is a little boring this season. Are you watching? Are you finding a little lackluster so far? I mean, of course I'm going to keep watching, but I can still complain about it. I'm going to start the Zoya Summer Wanderlust collection tonight, and it features 12 polishes with shimmer and creme finishes. I'm delighted by the collage above...I'm loving the 4 shimmers in the collection. Shall we go ahead and take a little closer look at these warlocks?

Zoya Summer 2017 Wanderlust Lipsticks: Kay, Kirby, and Kitty and SALE

*press samples*

Hi guys! I wanted to do another quick post today because Zoya has a fantastic sale on their lipsticks going on until tomorrow (June 16th and my Mom's birthday...Happy Birthday, Mom!). All Zoya lipsticks are on sale BOGO Free with free shipping using the code LIPLOVE. I know I haven't had a chance to show the Zoya Wanderlust polish collection yet, but they'll be coming up very soon, I promise.

Zoya released three new lipsticks with this collection. They are all cremes with a very smooth finish. If you're sick of the matte lip trend, then these will be right up your alley. None are extremely pigmented, but you can add layers to get a deeper color. All swatches above show 4 passes across the skin...so yeah, not very intense. Here are some descriptions:

Kay is a warm, sheer red creme which was the second most opaque color
Kirby is a bright watermelon pink creme that was easily the most pigmented
Kitty is nude pink creme with some shimmer. It is the sheerest, and the shimmer doesn't really show up unless you really build up the color

These retail for $12, which is a fair price, but you can get these for $6 using the code LIPLOVE now. What do you think? You can find out more about Zoya and their lipsticks on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages.

Right on the Nail ~ Morgan Taylor Summer 2016 A Very Nauti-cal Girl Collection Swatches and Reviews Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! It has been business as usual around here lately. My lab has some outreach projects next week with high school students, so I've been a bit busier than usual at work. Oh, and in my off time I've been trying to finish up season 4 of Orange is the New Black. Anyone caught up already? Tonight we're going to finish up the summer collection from Morgan Taylor. I just so happened to get their fall collection in the mail last week so I've been swatching those. I love fall colors, but I'm just not ready to think about them yet. Anyway, let's see the final swatches and reviews!

Right on the Nail ~ Morgan Taylor Summer 2016 A Very Nauti-cal Girl Collection Swatches and Reviews Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! Did you have a good weekend? It was pretty quiet around here, which is always appreciated. We went to see Central Intelligence (not life-changing, but it was cute) and took Scraggles to the dog park. Tonight I have the first of 2 posts featuring the newest Morgan Taylor polishes. It's a 4-piece collection with 3 cremes and 1 shimmer polish inspired by all things nautical. Are you ready?

Morgan Taylor Catch My Drift (2 coats)

Up first is a blurple creme called Catch My Drift. You know me, I'm a sucker for blues. In real life the color is a little darker than the pictures above, so be aware of that. I found the formula to be a bit thin and watery, so make sure to remove all excess polish before applying to the nail. That being said, I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Morgan Taylor Girls Love Buoys (2 coats)

Girls Love Buoys is a bright pink creme. I wouldn't call it a neon pink for summer, but it's still fairly bright. I probably have some other pinks similar to it, but it's still a great staple polish. The formula was much easier to work with compared to Catch My Drift, and it only needed 2 easy coats.

Morgan Taylor polishes can sometimes be hard to find, but you can finally buy them online without a license from Loxa Beauty for $9.00 each (hint, some of the polishes are on sale for as low as $4.25). The collection was also released in mini bottles, and you can buy the set of 4 for only $15. You can keep up with Morgan Taylor on their FacebookTwitter, and Instagram pages as well.

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya Summer 2016 Sunsets and Seashells Hydrating Cream Lipstick Swatches and Reviews: Candy and Mellie

*press samples*

Tonight I have swatches of the 2 new lipsticks from Zoya which were released with their Sunsets and Seashells collections. I don't normally review makeup, but I'm still a bit of a lipstick junkie. It's really hard to go to Sephora, Target, the drugstore, etc. without looking at the new lip colors (and, of course, the polish offerings, but that's a given). I've tried the Zoya lipglosses previously (they are called Hot Lips), but these are my first Zoya lipsticks The lipsticks come housed in a black plastic bullet that isn't winning any awards for packaging. I mean, it works, but it's not very luxe. I shouldn't complain because these retail for $12 each.

Also, the lipstick doesn't actually come to a point, it's just slanted on one side. I find it harder to apply around my cupid's bow because it doesn't have the usual point to it. Zoya calls these a Hydrating Cream Lipstick, and I'd agree with that. I wore each of these colors for a full day and had no issues with dry lips. I often go for matte finishes, which are drying, because I find they last longer and need fewer touch-ups.

Zoya Candy (with packaging)

Zoya Candy

Candy comes from the Sunsets portion of the collection and is a bright pink creme lipstick. To get an opaque lip you will need a few swipes of this one (I would call it a semi-sheer lipstick.) While bright, I found it to be a really wearable color, even for those of you who don't like a bold lip. It isn't transfer-resistant, so you will need to reapply after lots of drinking or eating.

Zoya Mellie (with packaging)

Zoya Mellie

Mellie comes from the Seashells Collection and is more of a cool-toned red-pink creme. Overall, it needs fewer swipes for full coverage and also has an extremely creamy formula. Personally, I like this one a little better, but I'm a fan of both of them.

Again, these retail for $12 each and are available now on the Zoya website (I'm not sure if these will be available in any retail stores.) You can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages.

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya Summer 2016 Sunsets Collection Swatches and Reviews Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! TGIF! Summer is definitely upon us because it has been well into the 90s already. I can't believe we're at the end of the summer collections already. I know I said it last week, but I'm really happy Zoya brought back the PixieDusts. Anyway, shall we get started? Follow me after the break for my oh-so-insightful thoughts.

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya Summer 2016 Sunsets Collection Swatches and Reviews Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Short work weeks for the win! The pen show I was talking about actually starts tomorrow and I am so excited. My husband is the one more into fountain pens, but I've become quite fond of them over the years (and some of the awesome people who go to the shows)! I haven't mentioned it in awhile, but check out his blog for some interesting ink and pen reviews (he also makes videos on Youtube). Tonight I have the first part of the Zoya Sunsets Collection which features 6 bright cremes that only need 1 coat.  Follow me after the break to see if this rang true.

Right on the Nail ~ Zoya Summer 2016 Seashells Collection Swatches and Reviews Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! It's a little sad that I'm so excited for the finale of Dancing with the Stars AND the Bachelorette premiere tonight! Anyone else but me watching? I'm doubly excited about reviewing the latest Zoya collections coming at you for this summer season. There are 2 separate collections (the Seashells and Sunsets, respectively) for the summer and I have both of them to review for you. The Seashells collection reintroduces the famous Pixiedust formula that Zoya hasn't done lately while the Sunsets feature bright cremes. I'll be reviewing the first 3 colors of the Seashells Collection tonight, so shall we get started?

Right on the Nail ~ OPI Summer 2015 Hawaii Collection Swatches and Review: That's Hula-rious

OPI That's Hula-rious (2 coats)

Hi guys! You may be wondering why I'm posting pictures from last year's OPI summer collection, and that would be fair. I somehow lost these pictures of that's Hula-rious in my Pictures-to-be-Posted folder for a few months. Oops! Better late than never, I suppose. It's a beautiful light mint green creme. I'm always a sucker for mints when the weather starts getting warmer, which means I probably have several dupes (or just similar colors) in my massive collection. The formula was on the better side for OPI (not to say that OPI has a bad formula at all; they just seem to be inconsistent sometimes). The first coat was a bit streaky, but it evened out nicely in the second.

OPI polishes retail for $10.00 and you can find them at your local Sally's Beauty Supply and Ulta stores. Despite the lateness of this post, I believe you can still find That's Hula-rious. Find out more information about OPI on their FacebookInstagram, and Twitter pages.

Right on the Nail ~ Essie Summer 2015 Peach Side Babe Collection Swatches and Reviews: Chillato and Salt Water Happy

I hope your Monday is treating you well. I should have some nail mail coming tonight, so I plan on getting on Periscope around 7 PM EST if you are interested in finding out what I got from Polish 'M. I am @rightonthenail on Twitter/Periscope. If you happen to not be on your computer at that time, you can still see the replay for up to 48 hrs after the post. I hope to see you tonight! I bought 2 of the 6 Essie Peach Side Collection colors (those are the only ones the really interested me). Read on after the break to learn more about Chillato and Salt Water Happy.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Summer 2015 Electric Summer Swatches and Review: UV Meant to Be

China Glaze UV Meant to Be (2 coats)

Just a quick reminder that the Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish is 50% until 11 PM tonight (these retail for $20 so this is the only time I can afford to get a couple...cuz das expensive). Also, I don't believe I mentioned that there will be some CoverGirl Star Wars polishes coming later this year. Any thoughts? I'm not the biggest fan of CoverGirl polishes, but I'll be interested in seeing some swatches.

Tonight I have another color from the summer China Glaze collection called UV Meant to Be. It's a lovely, bright robin's egg blue creme that would also make a cute pedicure. It's bright, but not neon like most of the collection. I think this may have been the reason why the polish applied really well and was fully opaque in 2 coats.

The cheapest place to find China Glaze is through Transdesign for $3.25 each. Surprise, they also have the fall and Halloween collections available! You can also find them at your local Sally's Beauty Supply or Ulta stores where prices may vary. Get more info on China Glaze on their FacebookInstagram, or Twitter pages.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Summer 2015 Electric Nights Collection Swatches and Review: Red-y to Rave

China Glaze Red-y to Rave (3 coats)

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, but work has been extremely busy/stressful all week. It doesn't help that I'm going on vacation tomorrow and I've been trying to play catch up all week. I digress.

I completely forgot that my husband bought be Red-y to Rave at my local nail supply store. It's a neon red/orange creme that reminds me of a traffic cone. Neon polishes are notoriously hard to capture, but I'm pretty happy with my swatches. I used 3 coats for the pictures above, but I know some people prefer to layer neon colors over a white base to make them stand out more (especially since some neon polishes have a bit of a jelly finish). Overall, I'm really happy with the colors I have from the Electric Nights collection.
