Hi guys! I just started watching Amazon's The Man in the High Castle last night and I've already been sucked in. The story takes place in America in 1962. The catch? We happened to lose WW2 and Nazi Germany owns part of the US, Japan the other. Interesting, right? Tonight I have the second half of the Zoya Enchanted Collection with 1 PixieDust and 2 shimmers. Oh, and my Zoya Black Friday order has shipped and should arrive Friday or Saturday (probably Saturday with how slow shipping seems to be getting). Shall we get started?

Hi guys! It was a manic Monday, but that's how most of them are at my newish job. I had a great weekend because I was in our local holiday parade with my husband and Scraggles the dog. Scraggles' daycare had a float and they had the daycare dogs walk together through the streets. Anyway, tonight I have the first 3 polishes from Zoya's Holiday Enchanted Collection. This was released last month and features 4 PixieDust polishes and 2 shimmers. Without further ado, let's do this!

Hi guys! It's a little sad that I'm so excited for the finale of Dancing with the Stars AND the Bachelorette premiere tonight! Anyone else but me watching? I'm doubly excited about reviewing the latest Zoya collections coming at you for this summer season. There are 2 separate collections (the Seashells and Sunsets, respectively) for the summer and I have both of them to review for you. The Seashells collection reintroduces the famous Pixiedust formula that Zoya hasn't done lately while the Sunsets feature bright cremes. I'll be reviewing the first 3 colors of the Seashells Collection tonight, so shall we get started?

My inner fangirl is bursting at the moment. I'm actually a fan of QVC and since David Venable (In the Kitchen with David) will be in Chapel Hill, NC tomorrow, I got tickets to watch the live show! Squee! I realize I shouldn't be as excited as I am. Hopefully I will get to post some photos on Instagram and/or Twitter, so if you don't already follow me, go ahead and do that if you're interested. 

Yes, the polish I have to show tonight is extremely old. I got this a couple months ago at Sally's during their clearance sales and I think I paid like $1.50 for it. Who knew it came from a winter 2013 collection? Also, who knew this was a matte textured polish? Not me, that's who! I really wish Finger Paints would label the bottle if it's a textured polish. It's a simple enough request, right? Since the trend has died a bit this year, I was actually happy this was a textured polish. And it reminds me of the regular Pixie Dusts that Zoya released first, which also happens to be my favorite type. It dried fairly quickly and had none of the sheen you got with the later releases of textured lacquers. Winter Chill is a deep black with pink and blue glitter (not a ton, but still quite noticeable). I have no idea if this is hard-to-find, but I'm sorry to post this if it is! Finger Paints retail for $5.49 at Sally's Beauty Supply, but there are often sales and a discounted price for Beauty Club Card members.

Sally Hansen Velour (2 coats)

I know, I bet you're surprised that I have another Sally Hansen velvet texture polish. I think there's only one I don't have, and I think I'm just going to have to give up on it. Velour is a matte medium purple color with a slightly textured finish. While I like this fine, I think I like some of the other deeper colors from the collection a little better. I found that 2 coats were perfect to keep the texture without taking too long to dry. Are these still around? Last month I found an untouched display at Walgreens, but I'm not 100% sure if these are limited edition or not.

Hi guys! Are you sick of matte textured polishes yet? I hope not, because I have one of the OPI Bond Girls to show you. Tiffany Case is a metallic blue with silver shimmer. I absolutely love this! I've heard that this stains, but I wore a basecoat and had no issues with it. The formula was just perfect in 2 coats! I'm sure you can get this online or perhaps still at Ulta since it didn't come out too long ago. I hope your week is off to a great start!

I know, I've been posting the Velvet Texture polishes slowly since early 2015. Every time I stop at Ulta or Walgreens, I can't stop myself from picking another one up. Tonight I have one of my favorite colors called Lavish which is a deep wine color. I say this is one of my favorites due to the fact that it actually dried in a decent amount of time and the texture really stands out. These are supposed to come out this month (according to my Sally Hansen representative), but I know some of you have found these as early as November. Have you seen them?

Remember when I had the Velvet Texture polish from Sally Hansen called Regal? Well, I talked to the Sally Hansen representative and she said they aren't to be officially released until February. Weird, because I found these at my Ulta at the beginning of December. When I went there last, they still had some left so I picked up Lush which is a textured taupe color. It's not as striking as Regal, but a nice way to get away with some texture with a neutral color. Just as a reminder, make sure to let the first coat dry before applying the second or you will get some dragging. Lush took longer to dry than Regal it seems. I noticed on my right hand that I had a few dents after I went to sleep (which was a long time after I did my nails). Have you found these in your area?

Sally Hansen Regal (2 coats, no topcoat)

Have you seen the new collection from Sally Hansen called the Velvet Texture collection? I heard about it, and finally found it at my local Ulta last week. I only picked up one called Regal which is a royal blue that dries darker on the nail. These dry really fast, and you need to make sure that the first coat is completely dry before doing the second. Also, you should try and make as thin of coats as possible because if they are too thick, they will take much longer to dry and may get dented. These are permanent so I don't think you need to go out and get every single one right now. I honestly don't even know how much I paid for it because I had my 20% off card and I knew I had to get one so I didn't care how much it cost. Oops!

I hope you had a great weekend! I just went and saw Dumb and Dumber To and it was really funny. I still love the first better, but isn't that how it always goes? Anyway, I had no idea when I found SpaRitual's Wilderness in the clearance section of Ulta that it was a textured polish, but you can still see some of the texture with the topcoat. Either way, it's beautiful! It is a pink coral with lots of gold shimmer. Doesn't coral invoke different ideas of a certain color? Some think it's more of a pink, some more of an orange, etc. Food for thought. The application and formula was superb with only 2 coats. I've always liked SpaRitual colors, but the price always holds me back ($12). You can find their polishes at your local Ulta store.

Zoya Imogen (2 coats and no topcoat)

Imogen is a black base with tons of holographic glitter. The glitter stands out the most in this one and makes it my favorite of the three. 

Zoya Nori (2 coats and no topcoat)

Nori is the perfect blue for this winter season. Now these are the types of colors I was looking for in the last collection of Magical PixieDusts! 

 Zoya Thea (2 coats and no topcoat)

Lastly, we have Thea which is a deepened purple with holographic glitter. 

This winter, Zoya has you covered with 6 new polishes for you to drool over. Three of them are Magical PixieDusts which I will show today, while the other three are cremes or shimmers that all coordinate with the PixieDusts. All of them have a jelly base with tons of different sized holographic glitter. I was impressed with the formula as well since they only needed 2 easy coats. They aren't completely matte, as you can tell by the bit of glare from the light, but they are quite textured. Out of the three, I seem a bit Bah Humbug by saying Imogen is my favorite, but it is. All of them are great choices, though.

Zoya Fall 2014 Ultra PixieDust Swatch and Review: Owsin

Ah, finally, a true matte polish. The others still had a slight sheen despite applying it as the Zoya reps suggested. Oswin (weird for a girl's name) is a true red with large and small hexagonal glitter. It sort of reminds me of the ruby red slippers in matte form. This is definitely my second favorite of the collection and only needed 2 coats for full coverage. Overall, I wish there were a vastly different color in this collection (perhaps a green or a grey) because the colors are a bit too similar. Do you agree?

Zoya Fall 2014 Ultra PixieDust Collection Swatch and Review: Noir

The second of the Ultra PixieDusts is Noir which is by far my favorite of the trio. It has the same small and larger hexagonal glitter, but it dries with more of a matte finish and has a beautiful deep plum base. I like how the base looks darker which makes the glitter stand out even more. This was also more opaque and only needed 2 coats. Don't forget to not wear a basecoat and let the polish dry between posts. Happy Saturday!

Zoya Fall 2014 Ultra PixieDust Collection Swatch and Review: Arianna

Zoya has just released 3 new polishes called Ultra PixieDusts which is between the Magical and regular PixieDusts. The Magical PixieDusts have the holographic hexagonal glitter while the regular ones don't. The Ultra PixiDusts have hexagonal glitter, but it's not holographic. Hopefully that helps explain these a little bit better. Unfortunately, I think all of the colors released are a little bit too close together. Up first I have Arianna which is a matte texture with hexagonal and small glitter in a deep red wine base. Zoya warned me that these must be applied without a basecoat and to make sure you take a few minutes between each layer to let it dry, otherwise you will not get a completely matte finish. Fun, or are you done with textures?

Zoya Fall 2013 PixieDust Collection Swatch and Review: Arabella

This is the last Zoya PixieDust to show you, I promise. Arabella only cost me $0.99 at Ulta and is a deep fuchsia with silver shimmer. It's a bit darker on the nail, but brightens up nicely in bright light. The formula was slightly thick like all PixieDusts, but that only makes the application easier. Nice polish to have for a buck, I must say. Happy Friday!

Zoya Summer 2013 PixieDust Collection Swatch and Review: Solange

Zoya Solange (2 coats)

Yay, guess what happened? I just tore a nail halfway down the middle of it. So it's hurt and ruined and on my swatching hand. What is a girl to do? Any suggestions because this one is bad?Despite this issue, I will try and find a way to make it work. 

So the only Solange I've heard of is Beyonce's sister, and I think Zoya was spot on with this one. It's such a bright gold that has tons of yellow in it. Isn't this one crazy? While I think this would look awesome on darker skintones, I still think it washes me out a bit. It's still a really interesting textured matte polish. That you may find for cheap at Ulta.
