Right on the Nail ~ Essie Summer 2015 Peach Side Babe Collection Swatches and Reviews: Chillato and Salt Water Happy

I hope your Monday is treating you well. I should have some nail mail coming tonight, so I plan on getting on Periscope around 7 PM EST if you are interested in finding out what I got from Polish 'M. I am @rightonthenail on Twitter/Periscope. If you happen to not be on your computer at that time, you can still see the replay for up to 48 hrs after the post. I hope to see you tonight! I bought 2 of the 6 Essie Peach Side Collection colors (those are the only ones the really interested me). Read on after the break to learn more about Chillato and Salt Water Happy.

Essie Chillato (3 coats)

I really wanted to love Chillato, but I found the formula to be too problematic to recommend to others. It's a really light green creme with strong yellow undertones. It was extremely streaky with a really thin formula that didn't want to self-level. You also need to be careful to use thin coats because it tends to want to bubble. Blarg!

Essie Salt Water Happy (2 coats)

Salt Water Happy (LOVE the name!) is a light dusty blue that dries a shade or 2 darker than the bottle color. It was much more opaque than Chillato, but still had some self-leveling issues. I don't know if it's necessarily a unique Essie color, but it's still really pretty.

Essie polishes normally retail for $8.50 at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aide, and Ulta stores (among others). Find out more information on Essie on their Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages,
