Zoya Fall 2016 Urban Grunge Collection Metallic Holos Swatches & Reviews Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! I hope the start of your week is off to a great start! I was completely swamped at work today, but that's not always a bad thing. Oh, and there will be another Nibs & Nails this week, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Tonight I'll be starting the shimmery side of the Zoya Urban Grunge collection. This side of the collection features 3 holo finishes and 3 glass-flecked metallic finishes. Without further ado, let's do this!

I first wanted to mention some general notes on the formula and application on this set. All polishes except for Alicia in the Metallic Holo side needed just 2 coats for full coverage. You may be able to get away with just 1 coat of some of the polishes, but this depends on the thickness of your coats and the length of your nails. Other than that, I have no issues with the formula on these.

Zoya Alicia (3 coats, diffused LED daylight)

Zoya Alicia (3 coats, direct LED daylight to show holo finish)

Yup, Alicia is the star of the show here. Is it silver or is it gold? It's weirdly both and just stunning. Indoors you won't be able to see the rainbow effect, but it still manages to be interesting. It's definitely more of a scattered holographic polish, so if linear holos are more your style, this may not be as exciting for you. It will need 3 heavier coats for full opacity because it has a clear (or slightly silver) base. Love it!

Zoya Ash (2 coats)

Don't get me wrong, Ash is a pretty pinkish red glass-flecked metallic polish with coordinating shimmer. I think it's just a color you would expect to be in a fall collection. That being said, I'm so happy Zoya brought back their glass-flecked polishes because they do it so well. Pictures show 2 easy coats.

Zoya Britta (2 coats)

I can definitely see Britta being another popular shade from this side of the collection. It's a deep berry color with purple, fuchsia, and gold shimmer. Again, this is 2 easy coats.

What do you think so far? Yeah, you need at least a few of these. These retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. I'm not sure if they're at Ulta just yet, but keep your eye out for them at your local store.
