Polish Pickup January 2019 Mythology: Static Lacquer Ratatösk

*press sample*

Hi guys, Happy New Year! I rang in the new year relaxing with my family and I'm totally ok with that. Tonight I've got my other Polish Pickup shade for January from Static Lacquer. Again, there will be fewer low caps compared to December, and this month Polish Pickup and Indie Pickup will be debuting together. This means one shopping experience, and cheaper shipping! Shipping will still be $3 for the US, and just $5 for Canada (international shipping prices vary). The website opens at 11 AM ET this Friday (Jan. 4th) and will stay open until Monday (Jan. 7th). Static Lacquer continued their Nordic mythology theme started last month with this month's polish. Ratatösk is a red squirrel that would travel up and down the tree Yggdrasil, sending messages between the serpent and eagle at each end of the tree. Apparently he was quite the troublemaker and would fuel the animosity between the two. This one will retail for $12 and has a cap of 200 bottles.

Static Lacquer Ratatösk (3 coats)

Ratatösk is a black jelly base with copper/pink/green ucc flakes and pink to blue shifting shimmer. The flakes are prominent, but it's not chock-full of them. It dries with a slightly satin finish, so you'll want to add a coat of topcoat to get that shiny finish. It's a true jelly, so you'll need 3 coats for full opacity. I had no issues with the formula or application with this one. It dries quickly and is easy to remove.

I love the shimmer and flake combination with this one! The polish really resembles the inspiration photo as you can see above. Don't forget to pick this one up for $12 this Friday at 11 AM ET. You can learn more about Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebookGroup, and Instagram pages, while you can find more about PPU on their Facebook page and website.
