Noodles Nail Polish Beach Trio 2021 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hi everyone! It's a crazy world we are still living in, huh? Just when people thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel, the delta variant had to rear its ugly head. Please be safe, wear a mask, and get vaccinated if you can. On a much lighter note, I have a brand new trio to share that is releasing this week from Noodles Nail Polish. I would love to be at the beach, so at least these polishes can bring me there in spirit. These will be available this Saturday, August 14th, at 12 PM EST. The trio includes a glitter crelly, a micro glitter, and a shifty shimmer shade. Shall we get a better look at these warlocks?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 2/1/21*

Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one.

Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and "fill in" the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):

1. Glitter Grabber from Glisten and Glow
2. Gelous from American Classics
3. Smooth from Painted Phalanges (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)
4. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, or Hit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel as they both work well (I am not affiliated with either site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there's always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish Cinque Terre 3 coats ($10)

Cinque Terre is one of those polishes where I thought it was plain white when I first pulled it out. After I put that first coat on, I could instantly tell I was wrong. Cinque Terre is a light cream-colored crelly base with turquoise/yellow/hot pink/coral/light blue/light purple matter glitters, and gold holo glitters in hexagonal and circle shapes. I'm especially smitten with those large circular coral glitters. Depending on your application, you can get away with 2 or 3 coats, but I used 3 thin ones for my photos. It does dry with texture, so see my tips for smoothing them out above.

Noodles Nail Polish French Riviera 3 coats ($10)

Just like the Summer Collection I posted about a couple weeks ago from NNP, Natalie made another shifty shade for us. I bet you're not surprised this is my top pick from the trio. French Riviera is a semi-sheer turquoise base with reddish pink/orange/copper shifting shimmer and gold/pale pink holo glitters. The shimmer just glows in this one. I hope you don't mind I took a quick photo in my car with natural lighting on my phone to give you multiple looks. I say the more photos, the better for these polishes with shifting shimmers. I used 3 thin coats for my photos. It dried with less texture than usual since the real standout was the shimmer.

Noodles Nail Polish Harbor Island 3 coats ($9.50)

You love glitter? I love glitter! Harbor Island is a gold shimmer base with gold micro flakes, gold holo glitters, and various pink matte/holo glitters. It's basically a gold and pink bling party on your nails. It's glitter dense, so I found this would be best as a stand-alone polish rather than a topper. Shorter dabbing motions works better than long strokes to put the maximum amount of glitter down. Three dabbed coats fully covered the nail with no bald spots. Woot!

There you have it, folks! I love the variety of finishes each collection has. My top picks have to be French Riviera and Cinque Terre, but you can't go wrong with any of them. What do you plan on picking up? Don't forget, this is a Saturday and not a Friday release, so set your alarms! You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group.
