Pahlish Swatches and Reviews: Hempstock and Ashen

Hi guys! Ok, so I watched both nights of Bachelor in Paradise and I'm still confused about what happened between Corinne and DeMario. I'll definitely be watching through the rest of the summer. Tonight I have Hempstock from Pahlish which was released earlier this year and is still in stock if you are interested in purchasing. I also bought a Mystery Pahlish which is often a test batch or prototype of colors that may be released in the future. The Mystery Pahlish is always discounted and I've never been disappointed with what I've received. Swatch time!

Pahlish Hempstock (2 coats)

Don't be fooled, I'm disappointed in my photos of Hempstock. It's a minty green jelly base with loads of holographic flakes and purple shimmer. The Pahlish website says that the shimmer is red, but it looks purple to my eye. The bad part is that you can't really see the shimmer in my photos - sorry! It's there, trust me. I think my favorite vendors for these types of holographic flake polishes are Pahlish and Colors by Llarowe. It applied well in just 2 coats, and didn't dry with too much of a texture.

Pahlish Test Batch: Ashen (2 coats)

Up next is the test batch polish named Ashen which is a cool-toned chocolate base with gold/bronze multichrome flakes and a holo finish. I mean, if I were to critique this one, I might suggest a few more flakes, but I'm just a flakie fanatic. It's a gorgeous color and works well for the upcoming transitional period between late summer and early fall. It had a perfect formula with full opacity in 2 coats. If you've never purchased a Mystery Pahlish, you won't be disappointed.

Mystery Pahlish's retail for $7.00 and Hempstock costs $10 and both are in stock right now. Remember, there's no guarantee that you'll get Ashen, but I'm sure you'll love what you get. Find out more about Pahlish on their websiteInstagram, and Facebook pages.
