Static Lacquer Spring Blossom 2019 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! It's been a hot minute since I've posted, but I've got several PPU shades ready to review, so I won't be away for quite as long next time. Tonight I have a new 6-piece collection from Static Lacquer that features a rainbow of crellies that all have a scattered holographic finish. These will debut this Friday, May 24th at 5 PM PST in the Static Lacquer site as well as in The Polish Nook. Speaking of The Polish Nook, they will also have 2 exclusive colors available that I do not have to share with you tonight, but make sure to check those out. Each color from the Spring Blossom collection will be available individually for $10, or $56 for the set for a savings of $4. Shall we closer look at these beauties?

Static Lacquer Hibiscus (3 coats)

I have several wild hibiscus plants in the front yard thanks to some birds. They are always so big and beautiful, and it doesn't hurt that they put out so many flowers! Hibiscus the polish is a medium bubblegum pink crelly base with a slight scattered holographic finish. The holo isn't in your face, but just adds a bit of flair and dimension. I used 3 thin coats and topcoat for all my photos. I've seen photos from another blogger with a matte topcoat, and I was surprised how much I loved it. Definitely give it a try! The first coat was a bit streaky, but it built up well in 3 thin coats. Depending on your application and nail length, you may get away with 2.

Static Lacquer Hyacinth (3 coats)

Hyacinth is a dusty lavender crelly base with the scattered holo finish. Same creamy finish and subtle sparkle. I didn't mention it above, but these are also easy to remove. This is 3 coats with topcoat and it had a nice formula.

Static Lacquer Hydrangea (3 coats)

You know Hydrangea is a top pic from the collection. This one is a medium teal blue crelly base with a scattered holo finish. Is it exactly teal? Actually, I'd say it's more of an aqua as I don't see as much green to my eye. This is another 3 coater with an easy formula.

Static Lacquer Peony (3 coats)

I must confess, I was most excited to try Peony. I wasn't sure how well it would go with my skintone, but unfortunately it's not great. I'm light-medium and warm-toned, and I think this would look better on medium to dark skin and maybe cool-toned? I still like that this one is in the collection, it just doesn't work as well with my skin. It's a peachy orange crelly base with the same scattered holo finish. This is 3 coats with topcoat, and it had an easy formula.

Static Lacquer Plumeria (3 coats)

Plumeria is a light yellow crelly base with green undertones, with a slight scattered holo finish. Yes, a top pick that is a yellow! Yellow polishes are notoriously hard to work with (both for a maker and polish applier), but I'm happy to report that this one had a great formula. It still needed 3 thin coats to even everything out, but it's just so bright and cheery.

Static Lacquer Zinnia (3 coats)

And last, but not least is Zinnia which is a yellow toned green crelly with that slight scattered holo finish. It also happens to be another top pick. This is 3 thin coats, but you may get away with just 2. Yet another bright and cheery color perfect for spring

Yet another perfect collection from Stacy! My garden is in full bloom, so this collection is so #relatable. These shades are light without being pastel or hard to work with. My top picks are Hydrangea, Plumeria, and Zinnia. Don't forget, if you purchase the whole collection, you save $4. These will be available this Friday in the Static Lacquer website or The Polish Nook at 5 PM PST. You can check out Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebookGroup, and Instagram pages.
