Noodles Nail Polish 2023 Halloween Collection Trio Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I have to do some traveling for work later this week, so I'll be busy getting everything together for that. My husband will be home watching over our aging animals (including 2 cats who are 18!). It's so hard for both of us to leave at the same time at this point. Tonight I have the new Noodles Nail Polish Halloween Trio which will be available this Friday, September 29th at 5 PM EST and each shade will retail for just $10.50 each. Shall we to the photos?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 7/12/23*

Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one.

Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and "fill in" the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):

1. Glitter Grabber from Glisten and Glow
2. Gelous from American Classics
3. Smooth from Painted Phalanges (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)
5. Ooh Smooth! Glitter Smoothing Mid-coat from Dreamland Lacquer
6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)

To use these glitter grabbing topcoats, it's best to let the polish to dry for several minutes before applying. If you apply the glitter grabber too quickly, the nail polish can eat up the glitter grabber a little, making the polish continue to have a little texture, even after the addition of a quick-dry topcoat. Using it this way requires a little more patience, but it's totally worth it.

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take OffHit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there's always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish Fa-boo-lous (3 coats)

Up first we have Fa-boo-lous which I didn't know was a glitter topper before applying it. It's a clear based glitter topper with matte black and silver holo stars, matte black/orange/'magenta/purple glitter, metallic fuchsia/purple glitters, and violet holo glitters. I'm a sucker for star glitters! Despite not using it as a topper, it was pretty much opaque with 3 heavier coats! I found dabbing this one worked best so I could place the glitters where I wanted them. Of course this dried with lots of texture from the amount of glitter, so I recommend a glitter smoothing topcoat.

Noodles Nail Polish Halloween Magic (2 coats)

Up next we have a white glitter crelly! You know these are always a favorite for me. Halloween Magic is a white crelly base with matte orange/magenta/black/light purple/neon purple glitters and silver holo glitters in circular and hexagonal shapes. I love round glitters, so this has to be a top pick for the collection. I used 2 regular coats for full coverage, and it applied easily. This one also dries with texture from all the glitter.

Noodles Nail Polish Season of the Witch (2 coats)

And finally, we have Season of the Witch which is a medium violet crelly base that shifts from gold/orange/red with holo flakes, and metallic and holo orange/fuchsia glitters. It's extremely shiny with all those holo flakes! I think I may love this one as much as Halloween Magic! I think this one dried with a little less texture because it had more flakes which I find a little thinner.

There you have it, folks! You can't go wrong with any of the 3, but I think my favorites are Season of the Witch and Halloween Magic. Now that I think about it, I really loved the star glitters in Fa-boo-lous, too! Don't forget to set your alarms for Friday, and don't worry, you should receive these in plenty of time for Halloween as Natalie is extremely fast at shipping orders. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group
