Naps and Nails 90's Halloween Quad 2023 Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hello hello! It's a short work week and I'm loving it. I hope those of you in the US had a wonderful Labor Day on Monday. I rested up after my travels to San Francisco and I'm fine with that. My husband's birthday is this weekend so we'll be celebrating. Tonight I've got a 4-piece Halloween Collection inspired by Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Doug, and The Wild Thornberries. I was born in the 80's, so I was a little on the older side for a couple of these shows, but I definitely watched some Doug, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, and The Angry Beavers on Nickelodeon. These will be available on Sunday, September 10th on the Naps and Nails website for $13 each or all 4 for just $50.

Shall we get a better look at these beauties?

Naps and Nails Bloodthorn Manor Ride (2 coats)

Up first we have Bloodthorn Manor Ride which is inspired by Doug's Halloween episode. Do I feel the need to watch this episode now? Yes. It's a grape purple base with red/orange shimmer and a sprinkling of green/gold shifting flakes. I'm loving the shimmer in this one! I need to mention the formula on these: you know how some neon polishes are hard to apply and always dry matte? Well, you're not getting that with any of these polishes! They applied flawlessly in 2 smooth coats and dried with a shiny finish. I honestly don't know if I've used any neons that applied better.

Naps and Nails Dr. Vampire (2 coats)

Up next we have Dr. Vampire which is inspired by The Wild Thornberries Halloween episode named Blood Sisters. Like I said before, I actually never watched this show. That said, this polish is gorgeous and you need it. Dr. Vampire is a neon pink base with a dash of holo and green/gold/gold UCC flakes. I think this would make the perfect pedicure color as well. This is another 2-coater and it had a perfect formula that dried smooth with no texture.

Naps and Nails Little Radio Show (2 coats)

Continuing on we have Little Radio Show which is inspired by Hey Arnold's Halloween episode. It's a bright neon blue base that is loaded with purple and red metallic flakes. Some of the flakes that settle into the base look almost a bit silver. Again, this one is a 2-coater that self-leveled and applied flawlessly.

Naps and Nails Reptar Bar! (2 coats)

Last, but certainly not least, we have Reptar Bar! which is inspired by the Rugrats Halloween episode titled Candy Bar Creep Show. I think this is the star of the show. There's just something about this slime green color. Reptar Bar! is a bright neon green base with blue and black metallic flakes and red/orange/green/gold shimmer. This one is just so complex (in a good way), and the green is just popping. I feel like a broken record, but this had full opacity in just 2 coats and it applied itself. It self-leveled and dried with a shiny finish.

There you have it, folks. I honestly love this collection so much. It's just icing on the cake that the formula was just perfect on these. I think Reptar Bar! is my favorite, but it's close race. Don't forget, these go live on September 10th, so set those alarms. You can find out more info about Naps and Nails on their Instagram or Facebook group pages.
