Essie Spring 2014 Swatches and Reviews: Hide & Go Chic and Truth or Flare

Essie Hide & Go Chic (2 coats)

Essie Truth or Flare (3 coats)

As a scientist, I'm often running here or there all day long, so it's quite weird to have a day where I sit and analyze data literally my entire day. I don't like it. Let me do some science; don't make me sit at a computer and make spreadsheet after spreadsheet. Oh well, it's all part of the job. Do you have a sitting or walking job?

I love blue polish. This is quite evident when you look at the 2 hues I picked up from the latest spring collection from Essie. I ended up getting Hide & Go Chic which is a deep azure blue creme. This thing had crazy pigmentation and barely needed the 2 self-leveling easy coats I gave it. Truth or Flare, on the other hand, is more or a dusty vintage blue jelly. Yup, you heard me say jelly so you know what that means. I found 3 coats did cover everything up, but you could probably get away with just 2 if you have shorter nails. The formula was a little thinner on this one as well. I do love it though because of my intense love for dusty colors. You can find these pretty much anywhere now and will retail for $8.50, I believe (when was this price increase anyway?).
