Morgan Taylor Summer 2017 Selfie Summer Collection Swatches and Reviews: Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! I sure hope your week is going by quickly. I've been fairly busy at work, but I don't have to work any weekends until August (YAY!). Oh, and did you hear that they stopped filming Bachelor in Paradise? I don't know what to think of that story. Anyway, tonight I have the final 3 polishes from the Morgan Taylor Selfie Summer collection to show you. This set features colors perfect for the summertime, or really any time you want a pop of color. Shall we get started?

Morgan Taylor No Filter Needed (2 coats)

You know, I find the amount of filters/shopping of photos today to be too much. Remember when you had to develop photos? Well, at least I do (I'm old). I like when people look....human. And it's not just selfies, there can be a lot of work done on nail photos, too. Ok, enough of my ranting! No Filter Needed is a bright turquoise blue creme that reminds me a bit of Zoya Robyn (and others), but it's still a gorgeous color. If you're looking for a new blue, this one is perfect. Again, I'm not a huge fan of the brush on Morgan Taylor polishes, but it still applied well in just 2 coats.

Morgan Taylor Pretty as a Pink-ture (2 coats)

Pretty as a Pink-ture is a vivid pink creme that borderlines on neon. I mean, it's bright enough to make my camera all screwy, but it's not eye-searing. When I wore this one to work, I received multiple compliments which takes a lot. Everyone sees a rainbow of colors on my nails and it takes a lot to have them point them out. It practically applied itself in just 2 coats.

Morgan Taylor Woke Up This Way (2 coats)

You're not seeing things; the color on my nails is indeed what's in the bottle. Woke Up This Way is a bright fuchsia creme that reminds me of a raspberry. It's a nice work-appropriate pink that was fully opaque in 2 coats.

What do you think? Will you be buying any of these? The collection is a bit pink-heavy, but there are some pops of color to make thing interesting. I was extremely impressed with the formula on these. Each one needed just 2 coats which was a pleasant surprise. My recommendations would be Best Face Forward and All About the Pout, but you can't go wrong with any of them. These retail for $9 each and can be found on the Loxa Beauty website now. Don't forget, these are limited-edition, so get them while you still can! Learn more about Morgan Taylor on their FacebookInstagramTwitter, or Youtube sites.
