Color Club Poptastic Collection: Pucci-licious

Color Club Pucci-licious (3 coats)

I'm sorry about the lighting on this one. I tried several types, and this showed the most true-to-life color. Pucci-licious is a medium purple creme polish that is really bright, but not quite neon in my opinion. As you can see, it dries a little matte (I honestly put topcoat on a few of these since I wanted the shiny finish) but this isn't a surprised since these are either bright or neons. The application was the same as the rest of the collection. It's a nice purple, but not my favorite of the collection.

Don't forget, the April Giveaway for a free Color Club Twiggie is still going on until April 12! Send me an e-mail at rightonthenail@gmail.com to enter. Rules can be found here.

Color Club Poptastic Collection: Chelsea Girl

Color Club Chelsea Girl (3 coats)

Chelsea Girl is probably a color that a lot of you can get behind since it is a medium blue creme. Despite all the colors I've shown you so far that have been neon, this one is really bright, but I wouldn't call it a neon. Overall, the application on this collection seems to be a little different than their normal formula. They are fairly runny and need about 3 coats each. I don't care, I still love Color Club!

Color Club Poptastic Collection: Warhol

Color Club Warhol (3 coats)

Color Club Warhol is another neon pink from the Poptastic Collection. It is very different than Poptastic in that it it has more of a raspberry finish than the straight pink. I like this one, but I think I like Poptastic better. What do you guys think? Application was slightly sheer and thin and needed 3 coats for full coverage.

So today a fellow scientist on my floor found out that I have a nail polish blog. Let's just say he found this hilarious. That didn't stop him from looking at my blog for about a half hour and critiquing every little thing! First, he has a problem that I work ahead on my colors. He thinks I should blog the color I have on that day. I explained that this is really hard to take the pictures off my computer, edit them and post every day. I usually wait and do this once a week so I'm at least 7 photos ahead. He also thinks I should have a holiday label on my festive polishes (such as the ones for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, etc.). I'm not going to get to that tonight, but I should have that up soon. So anyway, hi Charles, I hope you enjoy my blog now that I'm calling you out. Is there anything else I need to change? :-D

P.S. I forgot to add that when he saw duochrome, he read it too quickly and thought it said douchebag. Yeah.

Color Club Poptastic Collection: Pink Lust- "Poptastic"

Color Club Pink Lust-"Poptastic" (3 coats)

Just like yesterday-WHOA! Can I say neon pink?! I love this. It is probably my favorite neon pink. I think this one would look really great from spring through summer (of course I am all for wearing neons during the fall and winter, too). Kudos, Color Club. Application was slightly thin and needed 3 coats, but I had no problems otherwise.

Color Club Poptastic Collection: Electric Sunset Wham! Pow!

Color Club Electric Sunset Wham! Pow! (3 coats)

Continuing on with the Poptastic collection we have Electric Sunset Wham! Pow! The name is....interesting. Did the Blacked Eyed Peas happen to name this one? Anyway, besides the weird name, what an awesome neon orange. Like, construction cone orange (perhaps brighter?). I just love this one since it definitely makes a statement. It was a little sheer and needed 3 coats to be opaque, but application was fine.

I have a quick question for everyone. Since it has been getting warm here in Tennessee, I've been having problems with a shiny forehead at the end of the day (I have combination skin with normal cheeks). I currently wear MAC Mineralize foundation. Does anyone have a suggestion on a mattifying primer or product that I can wear beneath my foundation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
