Revlon Nail Polish: Whimsical

Revlon Whimsical (2 coats) over Revlon Cloud (2 coats)

Oh Revlon Whimsical, you elusive little minx. It's definitely the 2012 Opulent Cloud. It took me plenty of trips to local drugstores and even a Bed Bath & Beyond with a Harmon's inside to find this little gem. In the end I found the last one at my local Ulta store. It is a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air which I do not own. As I don't like sheer polishes, I opted to layer this over Revlon Cloud which is a light lavender creme. I've seen some swatches where people put it over blue, but I think the sky blue hexagonal glitter stands out more with a different base.  The glitter is pretty few and far between, so it was difficult to get the amount of glitter I wanted in two coats. I had to use lots of little strokes to keep them on, but I ended up getting some bubbles doing it this way.

Overall, I think the glitter was pretty, but I really wish it wasn't so sheer. Have you found this little gem yet?

I have GITA and adore it. I wear it often over what many would think are unexpected base shades...a really light pink (even one that has some blue/lavender duochrome)...and maybe my fav is to wear a base of DL Naked under it. Naked came out with GITA which made me jump on that combo. Do try teaming it with some of the above and I think you will find this is for you, more of a topper than a sheer.

I got Whimsical at ULTA, I think they had just stocked the display because I haven't seen it anywhere else since. I didn't have problems with application and am a fan after wearing it over a light blue!

I don't have this, and probably won't put a lot of effort into hunting it down...I'm not the biggest fan of sheer polishes

This reminds me of confetti cupcakes with sprinkled frosting.
