Right on the Nail ~ Morgan Taylor Spring 2016 Botanical Awakenings Swatches and Reviews: Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post on Friday, but I had family in town and I just wanted to focus on that. Right now I am sitting here blogging and watching The Bachelor finale. EEK! Anyone else watching? Ok, tonight I have part 2 from the Botanical Awakenings collection. Shall we begin?

Morgan Taylor Rose-y Cheeks (3 coats)

Rose-y Cheeks is a medium pink with flashes of blue and a pearlescent finish. I'm not completely sure how I feel about this one. There are a few brushstrokes, but it isn't a frosty or streaky by any means. It was the most sheer of the collection, but it still covered completely in 3 coats.

Morgan Taylor Warm Up the Car-nation (2 coats)

Warm Up the Car-nation (hilarious name!) is a red leaning pink shade with a subtle shimmer finish. It's a really pretty color, but I'm a sucker for pinks. It had great pigmentation and consistency in just 2 coats.

Morgan Taylor What's Your Poinsettia (2 coats)

I'll be the first to admit that my pictures of What's Your Poinsettia are subpar. I actually swatched it twice and this was the best I could get. It's a deep red shimmer which had no staining issues (which can sometimes happen with reds like these). I think this would be a very holiday-appropriate polish as well. I would look in your collection to make sure you don't have something similar. The formula and application were the same as described above.

Please tell me in the comments what you think! Morgan Taylor polishes can sometimes be hard to find, but you can finally buy them online without a license from Loxa Beauty for $9.00 each (hint, some of the polishes are on sale for as low as $4.25). You can keep up with Morgan Taylor on their FacebookTwitter, and Instagram pages as well.

*These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative. All reviews are based solely on my opinion. For more information, please see my full disclosure at the bottom of the site*
