Turtle Tootsie Polishes 2017 Songs of the Season Collection Swatches and Reviews Part II

*press samples*

Hi guys! I didn't mention it here, but I'm sad Frankie Muniz didn't win DWTS. I mean, I get why Jordan Fisher won, but I feel like he really had a leg up over the competition from the beginning. Speaking of terrible tv shows, we also started watching 90 Day Fiance. Whoa, that show is crazy. On the other end of the spectrum, over Thanksgiving weekend, we watched Alias Grace on Netflix and it was fantastic! I know the author took a lot of liberties since the story took place in the mid-1800s and there's a lot of missing pieces, but it was still really interesting. Please excuse my long digression...I know why you're really here.

Tonight I have the second half of the Turtle Tootsie Polishes Songs of the Season Collection which is a 6-piece set of linear holos and metallic glitters. These go on sale tomorrow at 8 PM EST in the Turtle Tootsie Polishes website. Individual polishes will retail for $10 (full)/$6 (mini), or just go ahead and treat yourself to the set $54 (full)/$30 (mini). By doing so, you'll save a dollar on each polish. The collection will be for sale while supplies last, and will not be restocked, so get your orders in early so you're not disappointed. There will be new cuticle oils and soaps released this Friday as well. Go ahead and click that "Read More" button to see these beauties.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes Rudolph's Red Nose (2 coats)

Rudolph's Red Nose is a ruby red linear holo polish. As you can see, it's more on the pink side than a tomato red color (which is fine by me). The first 3 photos are color accurate; I throw in the last photo to show you the holographic intensity. It needed just 2 coats for full coverage, and you'll have no problems with removal, either. And speaking of, when will the claymation version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer be on? That movie is a classic.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes Silent Night (2 coats)

Up next we have Silent Night which is a sapphire blue linear holographic shade. I think a good alternative name for this one could be Blue Christmas (any Elvis fans?). I'd say this is another top pick from the collection because who doesn't want a bright holo blue in their life? Again, perfect formula and easy removal with this one. I'm sorry for the repetition here.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes Silver Bells (2 coats)

Hooray, another metallic glitter! You know I was a huge fan of Jingle Bells the other day, and you know I'm going to love this one. Silver Bells is a metallic silver with green and red hexagonal microglitter. Since this one is a bit more metallic, it's harder to see the glitter in brighter light (the metallic finish sort of takes over a bit more). While I love both of them, I'm going to say I like Jingle Bells just a little better. Generally, I prefer silver over gold (in jewelry and polishes), so I'm so surprised how much I loved Jingle Bells! I needed just 2 coats for full opacity, but removal will be slightly more difficult due to the glitter. Also be careful of getting the metallic flakes on the skin because it tends to want to stay there. Go ahead and turn the bottle upside down for a few minutes before applying to keep the glitter suspended.

And with that, the collection comes to a close. What do you think? This is such a well-rounded holiday collection! My top picks are Jingle Bells, O Christmas Tree, and Silent Night. Again, these will be for sale this coming Friday, December 1st at 8:00 PM EST in the shop.  Make sure to follow Turtle Tootsie Polishes on their InstagramFacebook, and Facebook Fan Group pages. I'll see you over there!
