Static Lacquer 2020 Sunset Trio Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! Tonight I'm back with the first of 2 posts for a couple trios from Static Lacquer releasing this Friday, May 8th at 5 PM PST (8:00 PM EST). The first trio is full of shifty shades inspired by beautiful sunsets. These will retail for $11, or get the trio with a discount for $37 + shipping. Shall we go ahead and look at some swatches?

Static Lacquer Beach Waves (2 coats)

Up first we have Beach Waves which is a teal base with a blue flash and a scattered holo finish. The formula was perfect in just 2 coats and it dried with no texture. Oh, and it was very simple to remove. Some teal polishes have been known to stain nails/cuticles, but I had no issue with that.

Static Lacquer Galactic Sunset (2 coats)

If you can only purchase one from the set, you need to pick up Galactic Sunset. I couldn't stop taking pictures of this one. It's a shifty plum shade that shifts between purple and gold with a scattered holo finish. The sharper the angle and lower the light, the more the gold comes out to play. If you look at the bottle in the second to last photo, you can see blue in there as well. It's hard to translate on the nail, but you may be able to slightly see it at the most extreme angles. This one applied well with 2 heavy coats and also didn't dry with any texture. Love it!

Static Lacquer Mystic Skyfall (3 coats)

And last, but certainly not least, we have Mystic Skyfall which is a magenta purple base with a deeper violet shimmer flash and a scattered holo finish. Contrasting shimmers are one of my favorite finishes, so this is another favorite. Depending on your application style and nail length, you may be able to get away with 2 or 3 coats for full opacity. This is another one that dried with no texture and was easy to remove.

There you have it, folks! I honestly love all of these, but if you can only get one or two, I would pick Galactic Sunset or Mystic Skyfall. Don't forget, these release this Friday, so set a reminder. You can find out more about Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebookGroup, and Instagram pages.
