Noodles Nail Polish Holiday 2020 Swatches and Reviews and Black Friday Info

 *press samples*

Hi folks! I'm such a productive blogger! It's been a hot minute since you've gotten 3 posts in 3 days am I right? American Thanksgiving is coming up later this week, so there's a good chance you won't hear from me for the rest of the week (if you listen closely, you may hear the faint sound of my mouse clicking as I make all my purchases on Black Friday). What do you plan on getting? If you are interested in any Noodles Nail Polishes, there will be a Black Friday sale starting at the same time as the Holiday Collection release. Here's what Natalie had to say about the sale:

"The sale starts Thursday, November 26th at 9 pm EST and ends Monday 11:59 PM EST. 20% your entire purchase (excludes new holiday collection, mystery grab bags, and mystery christmas duo) no code necessary or minimum. Discount will be automatically applied at checkout so you are still able to use the free shipping code over $75. To view all polishes included in the sale you can click on the tab Black Friday Sale.
Every order of 5 or more polishes will receive a FREE Black Friday mystery polish (pictured above in black and white).
No code necessary for this, it will be added when shipping. It can be any 5 polishes, whether they are discounted or not. Mystery grab bags and mystery Christmas duo count as one bottle since they are prepackaged and 1 listing. So if you order 1 of those sets, you would still need 4 other polishes to earn the Black Friday mystery. If you do not purchase 5 or more polishes but want the mystery, I will list some overpour in the weeks following. One mystery per customer.
I can not combine orders during this sale due to high volume of orders. I apologize for the inconvenience. I will not be able to restock anything that sells out, as shipping orders takes priority during the sale. I will restock what sells out as soon as I can, but nothing will restock during the sale. I am going to try my best to have a lot on hand, but you never know what will be most popular!"

I do not have the Christmas duo or Black Friday polish to share with you, so those will indeed be a surprise for us all. The Holiday Collection features 7 different polishes filled with crellies, toppers, and shifters which will be available this Thursday, November 26th at 9 PM EST and CANNOT be used with the 20% discount. All polishes will retail for $9.50 except for & to All a Good Night which will be $10. This is going to be a picture-heavy post, so shall we go ahead and get a look at these warlocks?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 9/23/20*

If you read my posts about Noodles, you'll see this little blurb posted each time. And if you can believe it, I do update this as I find new products I think would be helpful. Noodles Nail Polish are very glitter-heavy polishes, so I thought I'd mention the best techniques to remove glitter. Since they all contain glitter, they will dry with some texture, so I recommend at least 1 coat of topcoat. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one.

I recently purchased a topcoat from Dollish Polish that is called Glitter Wrangler and can be used to handle pesky glitter. For the most glitter-dense polishes, I used a coat of Gelous followed by a coat of Glitter Wrangler and had completely smooth finishes. The other product I purchased from Polish Pickup a few months ago was from Esmaltes da Kelly called the Smooth and Shine Duo which had 2 toppers that you put over glitter to smooth it all out. This past month (August 2020), I purchased the Glisten and Glow Glitter Grabber and topcoat. They recommend waiting for the polish to dry before adding the Glitter Grabber, but it doesn't need to be completely dry. The topcoat is also on the thicker side which helps smooth it all out. Another product I just purchased was from Painted Phalanges called Smooth which smooths glitter. This one looks and feels completely different than all the others I've used previously. It does plump the nail, but it dries with a very matte finish, so you will need a topcoat to shine it back up. I used it for most of these swatches tonight.

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, or Hit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel as they both work well (I am not affiliated with either site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish And to All a Good Night (3 coats) ($10)

Man, we are starting off with a real bang! I love when Natalie does shifty shades, and this one is a perfect example of it. And to All a Good night is a blue/purple/orange/gold shifting shimmer shade with silver holo flakes and copper glitters. The purple and blue are the most prominent, but the orange/gold comes out to play in lower light and more extreme angles. She won me over with the shift and holo flakes if I'm honest. This one needed 3 thin coats, but you may be able to get away with 2 if you have short nails or use thicker coats. Definitely a top pick for me!

Noodles Nail Polish Cozy Cashmere (3 coats) ($9.50)

Up next we have Cozy Cashmere which is a cream crelly base with pink shimmer and various sizes of hexagonal rose glitters. When I first saw Cozy Cashmere, I thought the base was more of a blush color, but I think the pink shimmer and glitter tricks the eye. I love the name, and it really does feel like sitting at home in your favorite pajamas with fuzzy socks on drinking a hot chocolate while watching some Netflix. I used 3 thin coats for my photos, and it does dry with texture from all the glitter, so look at my tips above to smooth it all out.

Noodles Nail Polish Good Tidings (1 coat over black) ($9.50)

Continuing on, I'm so happy Natalie has continued her tradition of having a glitter topper in many collections. Good Tidings has silver metallic flakes and glitters, gold glitters, and a bit of red/green shifting shimmer in a clear base. I really appreciate the shimmer addition...it really adds some dimension to the polish. There's a chance you'd be able to build this up to full opacity in 3 coats, but I like how the contrasting base allows the shimmer to pop. It is quite glitter dense, so 1 thin coat over your favorite base will give you plenty of glitter. Again, this one does dry with some texture.

Noodles Nail Polish Holiday in the Sun (3 coats) ($9.50)

Not only did we get a white crelly, we got a white crelly that is basically Christmas in a bottle. Holiday in the Sun is a white crelly base with red, silver, green, gold, pink, blue, and purple hexagonal glitters. The most prominent glitters my eyes are drawn to are green and red though. This is another 3-coater for me, and it dried with a lot of texture from the glitter. I'm sure you're not surprised to hear that this is my second favorite from the set.

Noodles Nail Polish Reindeer Games (3 coats) ($9.50)

I really don't know how she comes up with some of these color combos! Reindeer Games is such an interesting polish. It's a deep raisin crelly base with red, caramel, copper, and green metallic glitters. It was described as a plum color, but it has a little more brown to it to my eye. How would you describe it? Either way, this one may be my favorite of the whole collection. It really has a squishy look to it and the glitter really shines through. I used 3 thin coats for my photos, but you may be able to get away with 2.

Noodles Nail Polish The North Pole (3 coats) ($9.50)

Continuing on we have The North Pole which is second white crelly polish with red metallic/silver holo micro flakes and silver/red metallic glitter. I really enjoy that this one has smaller glitters and flakes which makes it quite unique. And it reminds me of a candy cane! I used 3 thin coats for full opacity, but this one didn't have quite as much texture as some of the others.

Noodles Nail Polish Tree Farm (2 coats) ($9.50)

And last, but certainly not least, we have Tree Farm which is a deep emerald green crelly base with green flakes, and a touch of fine copper holo glitter. Don't be alarmed, this one is dark, but it is definitely not black. It was extremely pigmented, and barely needed the second coat I gave it. Do be careful of getting any polish on the cuticles as it may stain the skin a little bit (you may see what I'm talking about it you look closely at my nails...oops!). It also had very little texture, so you may be able to get away with just 1 coat of regular topcoat to smooth it all out.

There you have it, folks! It's another collection in the books. Which ones do you plan on picking up from the new collection, and what others will you be getting with the Black Friday deal? My top picks have to be Reindeer Games, Holiday in the Sun, and To All a Good Night. If you're in the US, I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.
