Do you have the store called 5 Below near you? Well, if you do, realize they have some awesome polishes there for cheap. I think they are usually 2 for $5 and also have the brand Funky Fingers if you've heard of them. I got a few polishes, 1 being Fresh Paint's Sugar Crush which is a flakie that is absolutely gorgeous. This flakie has all the colors of the rainbow and not just 1 or 2 color flashes like most of those out there (like the new ones from Finger Paints). It was also extremely dense and this is showing only 1 coat! The formula was also wonderful and not too thin or thick. Definitely stop at your local 5 Below for this special polish.

So I know what you're thinking. I hate brown polishes (I think it's because they think it looks like poop)! Brown nail polish is quite a polarizing topic. I'll go on the record to say that I like brown polishes, especially the dark chocolate brown color of Chocolate Fudge. It is just so smooth and creamy looking on the nails without ever looking black. I was also very impressed with the application and formula. 

Home Sweet Home, on the other hand, is a color I can see lots of people loving. It's a dark jewel toned blue that just shines. As you can see, it dries darker on the nail than the bottle, but I'm ok with that. As with Chocolate fudge, applying it was no trouble at all. 

Overall, I think this is cute little collection of a company that warrants more attention. I know they are a bit on the spendy side based on the amount you get, but just look at the prices for indie polishes these days. $13 for a polish? I dunno. LCN is a new brand to me, and they are a luxury European hand, nail and foot care line that also happen to be 5-free. Count me in! The bottles are only 8 ml instead of the usual 15 ml, so keep that into consideration. Up first is my favorite of the 4-piece collection called Knitting Wool which is a vanilla white creme. Yup, it reminds me of vanilla ice cream. It's like when you go to your local hardware store with paint and you just want white, and they have a million variety of whites. Well, in the nail polish world, there really aren't that many whites so I really appreciate them having a different kind of white. The only down side is the application which was streaky and thick. I ended up having to use 3 very thin coats to even things out. Other than that, I really love this polish.

When I saw Berry Punch in the bottle it immediately reminded me of Essie's The Lace is On. I haven't done a direct comparison, but I think this one is a lighter berry magenta color with a stronger blue flash. Either way, this is a very beautiful jewel color. I'm happy to report that the application and formula was perfect on this one in 2 coats.
