I know, I am so behind on my Zoya swatches. Eep! The good news is that Zoya rarely discontinues their polishes, and these are all still available on their website. I'll be working on my backlog to get back up-to-date. Oh, and I looked EVERYWHERE for my bottle of Vesper, but it's gone forever. I sincerely apologize for this; please feel free to Google this shade to see if you'd like to buy it. It's a super pretty color, so I am going to purchase it during the next sale for completionist reasons. The Sensual Collection is a 12-piece set that features cremes and metallics that are perfect for any time of year, not just fall. As you guys know, Zoya collections are large, so this is going to be picture-heavy, so we need to get to swatches.

Hi guys! Dancing With the Stars is back on tonight, and you know I'll be watching. Watching from the beginning is the best so you can watch the good and the bad. Tonight I have the first 3 polishes from the Zoya 2017 Sophisticates Collection. The days are getting shorter and the weather is slowly getting cooler. Well, ever-so-slightly cooler here in NC. And with the changing weather we get some new transitional colors to get us through the early fall months. This is a 12-piece collection with a mix of cremes, shimmers, and pearls, so we need to get into some swatches.

Hi guys! My parents were in town last week/weekend so I didn't get the chance to blog. If I were more organized, I would have finished the post early to go up, but I'm not that good. Oops! As far as I know, I have nothing to get in the way of blogging this week. Next weekend I'll be going to LA for work, so let's see if I can get ahead. Hi guys, I hope you enjoy the new layout! I've been wanting something special for a long time, but for some reason put it off. Please let me know your thoughts. Anyway, tonight I have the first part of the Zoya Fall Flair Collection to show you. I am extremely impressed with these, so let's go ahead and get started after the break.

Zoya Fall 2014 Entice Collection Swatches and Reviews

Zoya Claire (2 coats)

Claire is a very deep burgundy brown. It's a nice fall color, but it's really not my thing. If it didn't have so much red in it, it would remind me of raisins. 

Zoya Genevieve (2 coats)

Genevieve is the only non-creme of the collection with a slight pearl finish. It's more of a deep grey with blue undertones. Very cool color!

Zoya Margo (2 coats)

For once I'm pretty happy with my color accuracy with this purple! It took years, but maybe I can finally show purples right (maybe). Margo is a deep purple plum creme. I ended up liking this one more than I expected!

Zoya Nyssa (2 coats)

Nyssa is a chocolate brown creme. While this is fine, I think we've seen enough browns from Zoya from the Naturel and Naturel Deux Collection. 

Zoya Ryan (2 coats)

And now we come to my favorite of the collection called Ryan. It's a dark navy blue that is so dark that you can just tell that it's not black. The first and last photos are the most color accurate.

Zoya Veronica (2 coats)

Lastly, we have Veronica which is a berry/wine creme which also happens to be my least favorite of the collection. It's fine if you don't already have something like it in your collection, but I feel like I have so many of them. 

Overall, this collection is mixed for me since I have some real favorites in here (Ryan and Genevieve) and some meh colors (Veronica and Claire). Of course, this is just my opinion, and my least favorites might be your very favorites! The formula and application was the same for all of them which is opaque but slightly thin. I hope you enjoyed this post and the newest colors from Zoya.

Essie Summer 2014 Collection Swatch and Review: Fierce, No Fear

I can't wait for tomorrow! This week has been dragging and I can't wait for Friday. I hope you enjoyed my Zoya swatches yesterday. As you can probably tell, it takes a bit of work to make posts like that, so I'm always in awe of bloggers who can post that many every day. 

Fierce, No Fear is a medium chocolate brown creme. The first picture shows the color in direct bright light, while the second 2 are more in indirect light. This one would definitely fit in with the Zoya Naturel Deux collection. I'm proud of Essie for taking a chance and putting a brown out for summer. It is the odd man out, but that's exactly why I picked it up. The formula was fine and not too watery and opaque in 2 coats. What do you think of brown in the summer?

Zoya Naturel Deux 2014 Collection Swatches and Reviews

Zoya Spencer (2 coats)

Spencer is the lightest of the "browns" and is a camel beige cream. I thought this was going to really clash with my skin tone, but I think it works fine. It's probably my least favorite, but that doesn't mean I didn't like it. It would make a perfect palate cleanser.

Zoya Chanelle (2 coats)

Chanelle is a milk chocolate cream color that is perfect for fall. Some may not be a fan of this because it is just too "brown" if you know what I mean. I still like it. 

Zoya Emilia (2 coats)

Emilia is a dark, dusty chocolate cream that never looks black in any light. As you can see, it definitely dries darker on the nail. 

Zoya Madeline (2 coats)

Madeline is a light dusty Rose cream. I really like it, but perhaps someone would say that it is too grandmaish. I don't care, I still like it. This is another one that dries darker on the nail.

Zoya Aubrey (2 coats)

Aubrey (why can't they have an Audrey?!) is a mauve with berry undertones. This sort of reminds me of something OPI would put out. It's a very rich color and another great fall color. 

Zoya Marnie (2 coats)

Whenever I hear or see the name Marnie I always think of the character on Girls. Just me? Anyway, it's the darker of the pinks/purples and is a deep plum cream. It's not dark enough to be vampy, but it is definitely fairly dark. 

You may have noticed that I did not mention anything about the application and formula and that's because they were all the same. Every color was extremely opaque, needing only 2 coats, despite being a "neutral" collection. Whenever I hear the word neutral, I always think sheer. Thank you, Zoya for changing my mind. I think these polishes are different enough from the first Naturel Collection, and you need at least a few of these. My favorites are Chanelle, Madeline, and Emilia.

There's a monthly nail polish subscription box that I didn't know about? Color me shocked! Pistol Polish comes from Charlotte (North Carolina in the house!) and features 2 new 4-Free colors each month with free shipping. Each month is going to set you back $17.99 which might seem a bit steep for 2 polishes, but with free shipping, it lessens the blow. You can just go month-to-month, or buy a yearly subscription. You can skip a month by e-mailing them at info*at*pistolpolish*dot*com and they will accommodate you. They are very fast to reply, so don't worry about not hearing from them. 

Ok, now on to the polishes. Unfortunately I ended up getting the October box instead of a spring one. Oh, and look at the cute box and card that comes with each set with little stories about the polishes! And the little pistol charm on the polishes-so cute. It's the little things that set this box apart. Up first was Like a Boss which is an awesome name for a polish and is a purple/pink foil. At first I thought it looked like Orly's Rage, but I am way off on that. This one I think is unique to my collection and applied like a dream. The bottle reminds me of what Diamond Cosmetics bottles used to look like if you remember them. The second polish called Helen Gurley Brown is a chocolate brown crelly due to the squishiness you can see in just 2 coats. Again, no problems with the application. Overall, Like a Boss would be perfect to wear this time of year, or any time of year, really. Unfortunately I think I'm going to leave Helen Gurley Brown to later in the year when I want more earth tones (there's nothing wrong with the polish, I'm just into light colors right now).
