Nails Inc. Sprinkles Collection: Sugar House Lane

Nails Inc. Sugar House Lane (2+ coats)

Happy Saturday! I hope your week went well. I got to go to a few little towns around North Carolina that had some cute antique shops.

I got this Nails Inc. polish during the Sephora JC Penny sale a few months ago and I was happy to make this addition to my collection. These polishes do remind me of the new Hard Candy polishes that are popping up at Walmarts for only $4, so I'm not really sure these Nails Inc. polishes are worth it anymore. Sugar House Lane is a taupe nude base with black and white glitter throughout. I used two coats for the most part, but the glitter tends to stay near the base of my nail, so I added a little extra glitter to the ends of a few nails if it was necessary. Other than that, the formula was perfect for this glitter polish.

Nails Inc. Polish in Porchester Place

Nails Inc Porchester Place (3 coats)

Have you been reading any good books recently? I just started reading Divergent by Veronica Roth which shows promise. I also want to start reading Girl Gone in the near future. I like to end my day by sitting with my tablet reading, but I recently got stuck on a book I just couldn't get into. I'm usually a big Ann Rule fan (she does True Crime stories), but this was one I just couldn't finish. I'm excited to start getting back into new reads.

Anyway, I have bad news about Porchester Place from Nails Inc. When I bought it, it was still available from sephora.com, but I see it is now permanently sold out. I'm really sorry I couldn't get this swatch out to you guys sooner. It's a bright orange creme that could be a staple for the summer months. I did have a bit of an issue with the formula as it was a bit thinner than would have liked which led to a bit of unwanted pooling. Oh well, it's still a nice color.

Nails Inc. Polish in Hampstead Gardens

Nails Inc. Hampstead Gardens (2 coats)

I just got home from watching Django Unchained. This is my last day off from work, so we thought it would be a good idea to celebrate it. If you like Quentin Tarantino movies (like I do), you will not be disappointed in Django Unchained.

Wow, Hampstead Gardens is a unique color, now isn't it? It's on sale online at Sephora.com for $5 if you are interested. It's a dijon-mustard creme that isn't for everyone ( it looks a little poopy if you ask me). As you can see, it dries darker than the bottle color which makes it a little more wearable. I like it! The formula and application was fine on both accounts. What do you think, is this a color you'd wear?

Nails Inc. Sprinkles Collection: Sweets Way and the Cat Show

Nails Inc. Sweets Way (3 coats)

Yup, it's almost 2013! While 2012 wasn't a bad year, I don't think it was that great either. We hope to get our house next month which is exciting. I never really do anything for New Years Eve or day and I'm fine with that. I don't understand why people make a huge deal about changing years. I do have an exciting manicure on today with holographic glitter. Anyway, if you're going out tonight, please have fun and be safe!

I can't believe these are my first Nails Inc. polishes to review. They are a brand out of London and you can find them at your local Sephora store or online for $9.50 (I used a coupon on these). I've been wanting to try one of the colors from the Sprinkles collection and I decided on Sweets Way which has pink, blue and silver glitter suspended in a milky white base. I was a bit worried about it getting opaque, but I'm happy to report that it fully covers in 3 coats. I've heard other people getting away with just 2 coats, but I was getting some balding on the tips. I love it! It reminds me of sprinkles on frosting.

Oh, the cat show was so much fun yesterday! There were lots of interesting breeds there, and it was so hard coming home without one :-D Here are a few pictures:
