Right on the Nail ~ Bellaluna Cosmetics Winter 2014 Collection Swatch and Review: Holiday Glimmer

Bellaluna Cosmetics Holiday Glimmer (2 coats) over 1 coat Jessica Cosmetics Strawberry Shake

*press sample*

Tonight I have the other Bellaluna Cosmetics polish called Holiday Glimmer. To be honest, this one is a bit too sheer for me, so I had to layer it over a pink creme from Jessica Cosmetics. You may be able to get it opaque with about 4 coats, but I didn't want to go there. The application and formula were wonderful with the 2 coats I used. Despite being sheer, the beautiful scattered holo shimmer really helped this light pink polish pop! You could probably layer this over a lot of different polishes to make some interesting combinations.

Make sure to follow Bellaluna on Facebook for more information and sales.

Right on the Nail ~ Bellaluna Cosmetics Indie Brand Winter 2014 Swatch and Review: Belle of the Ball

Bellaluna Cosmetics Belle of the Ball  (2 coats)

*press sample*

I am happy to have a brand new brand to show you called Bellaluna Cosmetics on Etsy. She currently has her Winter 2014 Collection out, and get them before they're gone, because they're not coming back. As of right now, Belle of the Ball is still in stock for $8.50. It's an absolutely beautiful emerald green with a healthy sprinkling of copper shimmer. This reminds me a little of my favorite polish called Falling Star by Barielle, but that one is blue with copper shimmer. I guess I love everything with copper shimmer! I'm always curious about the formula with new companies, and I'm happy to report that this had no issues with only 2 coats. So far, I'm very interested in more Bellaluna Cosmetics polishes. Make sure to follow Bellaluna on Facebook for more information and sales.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Holiday 2014 Twinkle Collection Swatch and Review: December to Remember

China Glaze December to Remember (3 coats)

I know I'm a bit behind since this is a holiday collection, but December to Remember is the only China Glaze polish I got. I don't think in the 5 years of blogging has that happened. I used to look forward to collections from China Glaze, but this year they really let me down. I don't know how many I bought, but I could probably count it on my 2 hands. I did want to buy some of the Halloween polishes, but I couldn't find them anywhere. Perhaps my nail supply store will have them since I don't get to make it there too often. Anyway, I did love December to Remember which is a medium blue shimmer that has pink and gold shimmer, depending on the angle. There's a slight hint of frost here, but it doesn't bother me. It was a little sheer and needed 3 coats for full coverage, but the formula wasn't an issue. Did you buy any from this collection?

Right on the Nail ~ Jamberry Orchid Bouquet Nail Wraps

Jamberry Orchid Bouquet Nail Wraps

*press sample*

Happy New Year! I stayed in with my family and watched The Interview. That doesn't mean I didn't have to have a fun manicure for the holiday! I know I've had problems with Jamberry Nail Wraps in the past, but I've been flooded with comments and e-mails from Jamberry Consultants concerning my application of the wraps. Apparently since my nails are very curved, I have to take another step in the already slightly tedious process and make tiny notches in each side of the wraps with cuticle cutters. This allows the wrap to fully bend around my curved nail. I think I did a much better job at applying these this time. If you want to see the normal application instructions, you can find them here. To see how I used the "baseball method," you can find that here. I have several more (mostly) floral designs because I'm a huge fan of them, but I'm still letting my weakened nails grow out before using these again. You can get these for $15 that will provide several manicures or pedicures which makes it a good price.

They also have a new monthly Stylebox which costs $25 (you must sign up for 3 months up front) and contains exclusive 2 packs of wraps as well as a nail file, a nail stick and a monthly style guide. Just considering the wraps, you are saving $5 each month. You can stay up-to-date with them, you can follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
