Bruised

Rescue Beauty Lounge Bruised (1 coat)

Please excuse the tipwear on this one. I wasn't able to take the picture for a day and a half. So, this is my last RBL polish to swatch (cries a little inside). This polish, Bruised, is it brown or is it purple? My husband and his family thought it looked more purple in the bottle, but looked brown on the nail. I ended up putting a purple shirt on later that day and it really brought out the purple in it. And yes, you read that correctly-this is ONE COAT! Sure, it probably could have used one more, but it still looked fine with one. The formula on this one was wonderful. Overall, I was very impressed with the polishes (both formula and application).

On a different note, how often do you change your toenail polish? I am such a slacker and do mine about once every 2 weeks if I'm lucky. Do you guys give up doing your toes in the winter since people won't see them? Right now I am wearing Zoya Roxy on them.

that name makes me think of bruised lips, which is a bit odd, but that is a nice colour...like a berry-chocolate fudge pudding ^^ haha, i compare so many colours to food...
i was TERRIBLE in doing my toenails, but i am now trying to change with my fingernails, to match at least colour if i don't feel like doing a design ^^

I still do my toes in the winter because I see them and I'm the one I do them for (well, the hubby likes it too ;o) ), but about every 2 weeks sounds right to me. It's not like they take the wear that your tips do. If it wasn't for grow out (and the fact I get tired of one color), I'd probably go longer.

Sandi, I definitely agree. After 2 weeks I don't want to look at that polish again for a few months! By the way, that is one cute cat in your photo there!
