China Glaze Crackle Collection 2011: Crushed Candy

China Glaze Crushed Candy (1 coat) over China Glaze Lighthouse (3 coats)

I figured this would be the best time to show one of the Crackle polishes I got from China Glaze a few weeks ago. Yesterday I showed you Lighthouse from the Anchors Away collection and here it is with 1 coat of Crushed Candy crackle polish on top which is pretty similar to For Audrey (a popular permanent color). While most companies have a Tiffany's blue polish, this is still very unique as it is the only company to make it a crackle polish. I also think it would look great over a wide variety of colors. There is a bit of trial and error for applying the polishes. You want to make sure not to make the coat too thick or it won't crack enough, but if you do it too thin, then it will be sheer and you will be able to see the base polish through it. It sounds more difficult than it really is. Like matte polishes last year, the crackles are definitely the new trend. The real question is how long it will last.

I really like For Audrey so if I do get a crackle polish this will probably be it. Love this color combo!
