OPI Fall 2012 Germany Collection: Every Month is Oktoberfest

OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest (2 coats)

Hola! Quick post today because there is so much to do with so little time before my trip. I hope to start scheduling some posts this weekend to go up while I'm gone.

I only bought 1 polish from the OPI Germany collection and that is Every Month is Oktoberfest which is a dark, vampy purple shimmer with a hint of gold. Colors like these always make my camera go crazy, and this was my second attempt to capture this color. Now that my nails are short, I sort of want to try this one out again because I think it will look better. The formula and application was great; it was not too thick and not too thin. Overall, this is a great polish for fall and winter, and I would definitely recommend it.

This is a pretty one but I like Germanicure better (reminds me of the old La Bpoheme only better formula) - it's a bit lighter than Oktoberfest and a tad more golden shows up which I like. Plus it's a brown lean that I can actually wear! Folks seemed to be divided on which of these 2 was the 'best' of the Germany shades. So I got 'em both! I had to buy the red and orange/red ones just to see - love the Deutsche You Want Me Baby. The Danky Shine Red is nice but I have others like it. OPI officially on a pres release stated that Oktoberfest is a purple and Germanicure is a red - not o sure I agree. But there was so much ? about the 2, guess they had to clarify what the base hues were. I was given a bottle of Berlin There Done That when friend thought it was not right on her. I am liking that one much more than I thought I would - thought I had a ton of 'em like this - ends up it's more unique than others I have..it's not chalky at all and it's not as dark as many I have that harken to trying to recreate takes on You Don't Know Jaques. Was not over all an earth shattering collection - but for me was better than OPI fall 2011. No way would I wear the yellow or that odd Salmon pinky one and the one nude is way too light and chalky looking for me. But if you get a good deal either Danky Shine or Deutsche You Want Me Baby are OK and if you did not have all those Misa browns already you would like Germanicure.
