Right on the Nail ~ Zoya 2014 Matte Velvet Collection Swatches and Review Part I

*press samples*

Back in 2011, Zoya released some matte polishes, and have added a few along the way (such as the Mod Collection), but have always discontinued them. Well, now you have the chance to purchase their matte polishes besides the Mod ones. These are more like OPI Suede polishes in that they have shimmer in them (yay!), so if you wanted pure matte polishes, you may be a bit disappointed. All had a wonderful application and dried extremely fast-sometimes almost too fast! Also, all 6 polishes only needed 2 coats for full opacity. Now onto the show....

Zoya Dovima (2 coats)

Dovima is a matte black with silver shimmer. The shimmer really shakes things up, and even people who aren't fans of black polish might want to give this a try.

Zoya Loredana (2 coats)

Loredana is my favorite of the collection. This is a charcoal grey with tons of silver shimmer.

Zoya Posh (2 coats)

I actually already owned Posh and it was always a favorite of mine, despite being a shimmery red. You may not want to see my old swatches of Posh because my picture taking skills and polish application were a bit...weak. Yes, that's a nice way of saying it.

You can purchase these now for $9, and they also have a brand new matte topcoat that you can make any polish matte for $10. They also have a sale going on right now where you can get 3 polishes for $15. You can find more information here. Stay up-to-date with all things Zoya (often including giveaways and sales!) on Twitter or Facebook.
