Bees Knees Lacquer Anon Polish Swatches and Reviews: NaCl and Salty Anon

Hi guys! It's another busy week at work, and it just so happens to be my birthday week. Let's not talk about how old I'm turning. On the bright side, I still feel 25! Later this week I'll be showing you Noodles Nail Polish spring offerings, so check back soon. Remember how much I loved their winter collection? Well, I think I love this one even more. Tonight I have a newish brand that has insanely popular, especially after a couple critical anonymous posts on the Acetone Alley Facebook Group. If you're looking for a light and fuzzy Facebook Group, this one isn't for you. I'm not even immune to the drama as I was on the receiving end of some of the comments once, and it was not fun. When Bees Knees Lacquer was new on the scene, a couple anonymous posts were made, but lo and behold, this criticism actually made many people (including myself) check out this brand. Sarah, the owner, was polite and and up-front, which I think drew many to the brand. Now every time an anonymous poster tries to bring drama to Bees Knees, Sarah releases a new "Anon" polish. Whew, that was a lot of backstory. Shall we see these warlocks?

Bees Knees Lacquer NaCl (3 coats)

Up first is NaCl which is an indigo jelly base with green to gold UCC flakes and shimmer. Very pretty polish, and my pics do not do it justice. As you can see, these are the tall rectangular bottles reminiscent of the Massini polishes. Man, I haven't been to a Meijer store in forever! I had a little problem applying some of these polishes because the brush is so long. I haven't used such a long brush in years, so any problems I had was all my fault. I wasn't removing enough polish from the brush which lead to a little bit of pooling. That said, the formula was great in 3 thin coats.

Bees Knees Lacquer Salty Anon (3 coats)

Next is Salty Anon which is a green base with green to gold shimmer and holo flakes. Again, I failed to properly apply this one, but that's what clean-up brushes are for, right? The blue in there makes this one almost appear teal, huh?

Did I mention that these are only $8 for a full 15 mL bottle? I may not be done with Bees Knees Lacquer just yet. I couldn't just stop at 2 bottles, so I'll have some more swatches up before you know it. I forgot to mention that each order comes with a sweet treat and the cutest squishy animals (I received a seal). In short, I'm a huge fan of the brand! For more information, make sure to stop by the Bees Knees website, Instagram, or Facebook Group pages.
