Pepper Pot Polish Destination: The Desert Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! The Fall Collections keep rolling in, and tonight I have a very special collection from Pepper Pot Polish to share with you. If this set doesn't scream "FALL!!!!" in your face, I don't know what to tell you. This 5-piece collection is inspired by all things desert, and features creme finishes with shimmer. Somehow Mackenize was able to give us interesting fall shades in a place that doesn't experience fall in the way that many of us experience it every year!

These are available now in the Pepper Pot Polish Etsy store for $10 each, or get yourself the whole collection for just $45 with free shipping (you'd be saving so much!). This is going to be another picture-heavy post, so shall we get to some swatches?

Pepper Pot Polish Desert or Dessert? (2 coats)

How about some dessert in the desert? Why can't we have both, right? Desert or Dessert is a deep cherry cola creme with lots of silver shimmer. I usually try and describe polishes in my own words, but the cherry cola description was just perfect. Perhaps I would have said it's raisin-colored, but there's more red in this one. I used 2 thicker coats for my photos for full coverage, and it applied easily. It was also really easy to remove.

Pepper Pot Polish Don't Go Chasing Mirages (2 coats)

Up next is one of my top picks from the collection (it just so happens to be my husband's top pick as well...he has opinions 😂). Don't Go Chasing Mirages is a deep dusty denim blue creme with orange/brown shimmer that looks a bit red in person. I've never seen a color combination quite like this before. It applied like a dream in just 2 coats and dried quickly.

Pepper Pot Polish Drought Tolerant (2 coats)

SQUEE!! I absolutely love these "ugly pretty" shades like Drought Tolerant. It's described as a murky chartreuse creme with subtle green shimmer. To me it looks like pea soup and it's beautiful! This is hands down my top pick from the collection. This is 2 thicker coats and it applied like a dream. It dried quickly and was easy to remove.

Pepper Pot Polish I'll Be Your Desert Rose (2 coats)

Up next we have I'll Be Your Desert Rose which is a deep rose creme with subtle pink shimmer. This leans a bit red to my eye, but it's still rose. It's finally getting cooler in NC and I can't wait to wear this on my toes. This one is the epitope of a fall shade. It's another 2-coater that was easy to apply and remove.

Pepper Pot Polish Sun Baked in the Sahara (2 coats)

Baked in the Sahara is another one of those "ugly" pretty shades and is unique to my (vast) collection. It's described as an orange polish the color of a sand dune at high noon with yellow shimmer. I find it to be more of a rich caramel creme than orange to my eye, but either way, I love it. Like the rest of the collection, this is a 2-coater with beautiful shimmer that basically applied itself. I've never had a Pepper Pot Polish with a formula problem.

The Destination: The Desert Collection features an array of fall-appropriate shades that somehow fit the desert theme. One of my favorite finishes is contrasting shimmers, so of course this set is special to me. My top recommendations have to be Drought Tolerant, Don't Go Chasing Mirages, and Sun Baked in the Sahara, but I love all of them. You can save yourself $5 by purchasing the whole set for $45, and that doesn't take into account the free shipping as well. If you do buy them individually, they retail for $10 each and you will be responsible for shipping.
