Polish Pickup March 2022 Maker's Choice: Noodles Nail Polish

 *press sample*

Hi everyone! Wait, tomorrow's March? Wasn't it just January?! This year has just been flying by. I'm super excited for this weekend because my parents are coming! I haven't seen them much for the past couple years since they are out-of-state and the whole COVID situation. I plan to watch lots of terrible tv while eating lots of food that's bad for me. No regrets.

Tonight I've got this month's Polish Pickup shade from Noodles Nail Polish. This month's theme is Maker's Choice which I think is a great change of pace. I can only imagine the amount of work it takes to come up with a new and exclusive polish based on a different theme every month. I'm sure every maker has had a polish they wanted to release that just didn't quite fit any theme. PPU starts Friday, March 4th at 11:00 AM ET and ends on Monday, March 7th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Shall we get to some pictures?

Noodles Nail Polish Blueberry Lemonade (2 coats)
Inspiration: a sister polish to a fan favorite of ours – pink lemonade
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: None

I don't think I've ever had blueberry lemonade, but now I want some. Blueberry Lemonade is a pale blue crelly base with yellow, blue, and white hexagonal glitters in different sizes. This is just the perfect spring polish. I've been really loving polishes with yellow glitter lately. This one applied easily in just 2 coats, like all Noodles. This one will dry with texture, so either use 2 coats of topcoat, or a glitter topper topcoat followed by a coat of quick dry topcoat.

There you have it folks! The website is ready for wishlisting, so head on over there to browse the beauties. If any item has a cap, you may want to check out right at 11 AM on Friday so they don't sell out.  What do you think? Which ones will you be picking up this month?

Hey everyone! Guess who's fashionably late on this post? I've also got the Zoya Winter collection ready to go, so this will be a very Zoya-heavy week. They just had a big sale earlier in the week, but their big Earth Day promotion will be around before you know it. The fall Nostalgic Collection is a 6-piece set of creams that are still available and retail for $12 each. Swatch time!

Noodles Nail Polish Winter and Valentine's Day Collection 2022 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hello again! I told you I wouldn't be away for long! Apparently there's another huge snowstorm sweeping across most of the US in the next few days. I hope everyone stays safe out there! NC is lucky in that we will only get some rain out of the deal. Tonight I've got the new 8-piece Noodles Nail Polish Winter Collection and Valentine's Day duo. As usual, there's a wide variety of finishes here including crellies, jellies, and glitter toppers so there's a little bit for everyone.

These will be available this Friday, February 4th at 6 PM EST on the Noodles website and all polishes will retail for just $10 each. Buckle up, and I hope you're ready for some glitter!

Polish Pickup February 2022 90s TV Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute since I've posted, and I hope the start to the year has been going well for you. I've been working from home more lately with the increasing COVID numbers. Other than that, it's been really quiet around here. Tonight I've got a couple of this month's Polish Pickup shades and I'll be back later this week to share the new Noodles Nail Polish Winter and Valentine's Day polishes. I promise I won't be as much of a stranger around here. This month's inspiration is 90s TV, and boy did I watch a ton of tv during the 90s! I was born in the 80s, so I was full in on watching all the must-see tv and TGIF shows during the 90s.

New to PPU? If so, here's how it works: Definitely join the Polish Pickup Facebook Group. You don't necessarily need to actively participate in the group, but it will give you a look at the polishes that will be available in the coming month. PPU themes are chosen by the people, often a few months in advance (brands need time to find their inspiration and test their polish). Any indie brand that has been around for at least a year can participate and each has their own specific inspiration picture and polish for that month. All you need to do is go to the Polish Pickup site during the pre-order window (the first Friday-Monday of the month) to make all of your purchases of these exclusive polishes. There's no need to pay for multiple shipping charges; since this is a pre-order, all polishes get sent to Polish Pickup and they send you the polishes you ordered. Yup, it's that simple. *Shipping Price Update 2021* Orders weighing up to 7 oz will still ship to the US for $3 while all other US orders will ship for $5 (more for international and they just had to increase the pricing to Canada). Since all orders are pre-orders, shipping will take place about 3 weeks after the end of the pre-order.

PPU starts Friday, February 4th at 11:00 AM ET and ends on Monday, February 7th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Noodles Nail Polish The Points Don't Matter (2 coats)
Inspiration: Whose Line is it Anyway?
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: None

Did you watch Whose Line is it Anyway? I grew up a couple hours from Cleveland, so all Drew Carey shows were popular where I grew up. Apparently there's a revival of the show and I had no idea! If you love improv, you would love this show. This month Natalie from Noodles Nail Polish gives us The Points Don't Matter which is a light grey crelly base with metallic red/purple/blue/fuchsia glitters, matte light purple glitters, and holo sky blue glitters, as well as a touch of holo flakes. This one was more opaque than I expected, and it fully covered in 2 easy coats. It's definitely glitter dense, so I would recommend a glitter grabber topcoat, or 2 coats of a thicker topcoat to get that smooth finish.

Soothing Soul Nail Lacquer Zoidberg (3 coats)
Inspiration: Zoidberg from Futurama
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: 100 bottles

I've definitely watched plenty of Futurama! Zoidberg is a Decapodian doctor with a sad story. Soothing Soul Nail Lacquer gives us Zoidberg which is a bubblegum pink color with a blue pearlescent finish. Some pearl finishes can show brushstrokes, but with this one, they are very minimal. I went ahead and used 3 thin coats, but you may be able to get away with 2 if you use thicker coats or have short nails. It dries with no texture at all, but a topcoat really makes the pearl pop. Zoidberg has a cap of just 100 bottles, so you may want to add this to your cart early in case it sells out.

There you have it folks! The website is ready for wishlisting, so head on over there to browse the beauties. If any item has a cap, you may want to check out right at 11 AM on Friday so they don't sell out.  What do you think? Which ones will you be picking up this month?

Polish Pickup January 2022 Spices and Condiments from Noodles Nail Polish

 *press sample*

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I hope 2022 is the best year ever (with how crappy the past couple years have been, the bar is really low, right?). It feels like a hot minute since the last Polish Pickup for some reason. This month's inspiration is spices and condiments which is a bit weird, but I'm so excited for it. The more interesting themes tend to bring out the best in the makers.

Noodles Nail Polish Winter Warmer (2 coats)
Inspiration: Spice Rack and Condiments
Price: $12.50
Bottle Limit: None

Tonight we've got Winter Warmer from Noodles Nail Polish which is a deep dusty blue crelly base with teal/purple/blue/green/aqua color-shifting flakes, light blue matte glitters, metallic ice blue glitters, and some silver holo flakes. There's so much green and blue in this one that it reminds me a bit of a mermaid if that makes sense. The amount of flakes and glitters in this one will make it dry with some texture, so I recommend a glitter topcoat if you've got one. If not, a couple coats of a thicker topcoat will do. I expected to need 3 coats, but I was happy with just 2. Love it!

The website is now open for wishlisting, so make sure to stop by the Polish Pickup website before Friday in case anything has a low cap. It's best to add your items to your cart the night before the sale goes live (you need to have an account and sign in first before adding your wish listed items to the cart). Easy peasy. What do you think? Which ones will you be picking up this month?
