China Glaze Hunger Games 2012 Collection: Mahogany Magic

China Glaze Mahogany Magic (2 coats)

Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm not 100% addicted to caffeine, but it's times like these that it becomes quite apparent. I've had a long day of extracting bacterial DNA, and instead of getting my usual caffeine fix at 1, I was working until 4:30. I have a huge headache right now! Like, I can barely type up this blog post from a searing headache. Caffeine and Advil time, indeed.

Oh Mahogany Magic, you are such a poopy color. I usually don't mind browns, but this one just doesn't do it for me. As you can see, there is a lot of yellow in it and the color dried a bit darker than the bottle. I'm not too surprised that my Sally's had a few of these left at 50% off. The application and formula was pretty amazing despite the disappointing color.

I'll just say that somewhere, someone out there, thought this color was a good idea. lol

I did buy this one thinking of fall and it would work then. Now am kind of wondering what I can or would change it up with (blending something into it). I might not feel that way about it had Desert Sun not taken the spot I thought this shade might help fill. DS does it right - this one just does not. Maybe I should not even waste it and just donate it to the women's shelter.

Oh, and I too fall into the caffeine addict category too. Had a 'bad' day on Wen this week and went sans coffee - by mid day, I was feeling horrible with 'that' headache and it was for me too late in the day to hit the caffeine or I would have sleep issues that are bad enough as they are without caffeine after say 1pm. I do hit about 2 times a yr, a period when I just do without for weeks because I start to have shakes so bad from coffee OD - but I always sneak back to a half caf and work my way up. I love coffee! Reminds me, I need to look at my Gr. Mt Coffee club - it's time for my auto order pretty soon.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! Thanks for the comments!

Beachgal, caffeine withdrawls are the worst. My husband drinks coffee, and he is way more addicted than I am. He also had Green Mountain Coffee in VT and he loved it!
