Jesse's Girl Julie G Spring Trio Sets 1 and 2

*press samples*

Hi guys! It's Dancing With the Stars night, and I've been following it this season. Do you watch? Do you have any favorites? I have some extra special things I want to put up this week, so I thought I should get an early start. I have 3 different sets from Julie G (Jesse's Girl) to show you, and you get 3 polishes for $10 on their website. Each polish normally retails for $3.99 so you'll be saving a couple bucks buying the trio. Stay to end of the post for your chance to win a set directly from Jesse's Girl. All of the trios have one thing in common: neons! Well, some of them aren't true neons, but are on the verge of being one. I started this post yesterday, but I thought it would be helpful to see how the pinks and purples compare to each other so I put the first 2 sets together. Shall we see how they stack up?

Set 1

Julie G Bikini (3 coats)

Oh man, a good neon coral crème will always call my name. I think this will look even better after I get a little sun (hey, it's still spring). All of these were a little hard to capture because neons are notorious for making cameras go wonky. Bikini had just enough orange in it to be a coral and not just pink. It was a bit sheerer than the others and needed 3 coats for full coverage. The first 2 coats were a little streaky, but built up well with the third.  It ended up drying to a satin finish from the neon pigments so you may want to add a topcoat. The satin finish is fine, but I personally liked the look with a shiny topcoat best.

Julie G Dream in Pretty (2 coats)

Up next is Dream in Pretty which is a lilac crème with pink undertones. I currently have a lilac bush growing in my backyard, so I should have taken a picture of it for this post. Maybe next time! This one isn't quite a neon or a pastel...and just perfect for me! It had a smooth formula and application in 2 coats (and didn't dry with a satin finish).

Julie G Tropical (2 coats)

The last polish from Set 1 is Tropical which is a bright mint/seafoam green. Some people see this as more of a turquoise, but it looks more green to me. I really like this lush green color. This one also dries to a satin finish, so have your topcoat handy. This is 2 thicker coats with topcoat.

Set 2

Julie G Julie's Fave (3 coats)

You can see some similarities between Bikini and Julie's Fave, but Bikini is brighter and has more orange tones. Julie's Fave is a medium pink crème with some dustiness to it. It applied better than Bikini and only needed 2 coats (without the streakiness) for full opacity.

Julie G Rio de Janiero (2 coats)

Rio de Janiero is a raspberry magenta crème which is deeper and more saturated than Dream in Pretty. I think this looks better with my skintone, but both purples are beautiful. I had no problems with the formula or application and it just needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Julie G Santorini (2 coats)

Oh man, we finally got a shimmer in here! It's faint for sure, but it's definitely there. In case you didn't know, Santorini is a Greek island known for its beautiful scenery and volcanoes. The polish is a sky blue with pearly silver shimmer. It reminds me a little of something Essie would put out, you know what I mean? I used 2 thicker coats for the photos, and I had no issues with the formula.

You can find both trios on the Jesse's Girl website here. Don't forget, these trios are $10 and are only available on their website. Right now Jesse's Girl is having a giveaway and 4 lucky people will win a trio. Feel free to enter it here in their Rafflecopter widget. These colors aren't limited edition, but the special pricing for the trios will last through May. If you want to see these in person, stop by your local Rite-Aid store. Stay up-to-date on all things Jesse's Girl on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
