Woo, it's the weekend! I watched Captain America tonight and it was a fun movie. I think I liked Thor better, but it was still good. Mr. Right on the Nail can't wait for The Avengers movie to come out, but they are sure taking their time releasing it in May 2012.

Touch the Rainbow is the final Wishes collection polish to show you and it is a very light sky blue shimmer. I liked the shimmer a lot, but for some reason this polish wasn't my favorite. Maybe I would've liked it better if it was a little darker, I dunno. The name also reminds me of the motto for Skittles which is Experience the Rainbow. The application was similar to other Misa polishes, but again it needed 3 coats for opacity. Yay, it's almost Friday! I went soil sampling today and boy was it hot (about 100 degrees). After playing in dirt most of the early morning and afternoon, I came away with all nails intact. I did, unfortunately, scrap my middle finger which bled profusely. It didn't hurt at all, but I have a big gash on my knuckle which is the worst. It's really exciting to learn new experimental and sampling techniques though!

I got 2 polishes from the Misa Wishes collection that came out earlier this year. I regret not getting any from the 9-5:00 collection because there seemed to be some nice neutral ones that I could use between days of bright colors. Oh well, there's always the next haul. Genie in This Bottle is a light purple polish with purple and pink shimmer. This one looked really nice on the nail and applied like a dream. The only downside is that it still took 3 coats to fully cover. What is the deal? I feel like so many polishes lately need 3 coats. Come on polish companies, give us some pigmented colors!

Misa Paradise Shore Summer 2011: Under My Sunbrella

Yup, we've got another sheer one. Under my Sunbrella is the final installment of the Paradise Shore collection (at least what I've got to show you) and is a sheer glass-flecked yellow polish with some orange undertones. The color sort of reminds me of my stained nails underneath which is not a compliment. It reminds me a bit of China Glaze's Lighthouse polish, but I liked that one much better. If you can still find the Anchors Away collection, I would pick that one up instead. Don't worry, I'm not completely done with Misa yet, because I have a few polishes from the Wishes collection to show you. I hope you're having a great week so far!

Misa Paradise Shore Summer 2011: Krystal Water

I just got home from watching Horrible Boss and it was really funny. I'm a huge fan of Charlie Day from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Jason Bateman (he has such nice hair). I can't believe the last installment of Harry Potter is almost upon us! I'm definitely going to be seeing that in the theater as well. I was not a fan of the last book, Deathly Hallows, but I still want to see what the final chapter has up its sleeve. Was I the only one disappointed with the last book? It just seemed to drag on.

I have a love hate relationship with Misa's Krystal Water. I love the beautiful ocean blue color with subtle shimmer (the shimmer in this one is not nearly as thick as the other polishes in the collection), but I hate the fact that it's spelled with a k instead of a c. If you're not a greasy small hamburger that reminds you of a White Castle hamburger, then you shouldn't be spelled Krystal. I digress. This one was also more opaque, but still needed 3 coats overall. It's a lovely color that would look great in any personal collection.

Happy Saturday! I spent most of the day out of town looking for a new apartment...one that is closer to my job so I don't have to drive an hour and 20 minutes every day. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it. How did you spend your day? 

So, I'm sort of loving Summer Love. It was slightly more opaque than the rest of the collection which makes me oh so happy. It's a darker pink shimmer with a bit of red in it. I also think this would make a great summer pedicure color. It's a shame that I've never seen Misa polishes in stores because they are quality polishes and I think they would go over well (come on Sally's Beauty Supply!). 

On a completely different note, Torchwood is back on tv! Who else loves the John Barrowman?

Misa Paradise Shore Summer 2011: Mega Margarita

Can you believe it's Thursday already? This week has absolutely flown by! Continuing on with the Paradise Shore collection is Mega Margarita which is a sheer, green glass-flecked shimmer. The only downfall, in my opinion, is the sheerness. I think this was 3 extremely generous coats and you can still see some visible nail line. The next time I wear this I will definitely be wearing nail underwear to get rid of the sheerness. Overall, I don't think it's unique enough to deal with the hassle, unless you really love sheer polishes.

Misa Paradise Shore Collection Summer 2011: Endless Keys

I love glass flecked shimmer polishes. It's no surprise that I had to have some of the polishes from the Misa Paradise Shore collection. The one downside you'll be hearing from me pretty much every day is they are too sheer. If you don't mind visible nail line after 3 coats, then this won't be a deal breaker, but this may stop some of you from ordering. Endless Keys is one of the more opaque polishes and is a tangerine color with gold shimmer. I love everything about this polish except for the sheerness. 

I stopped by Rite Aid tonight and picked up some polishes from the Adventure's Island collection from Sinful Colors. These are allegedly similar to OPIs Pirates of the Caribbean collection, and upon further inspection, they do look pretty similar. Have you seen these at your local store?

Misa Spark My Interest Collection: Date Nights to the Twilight

Misa, my friend, what is up with these names? Why are they so long and weird? I do love you, but what is going on? The only other polish I got from the latest Misa collection is Day Nights to the Twilight (gag). My picture is not really accurate at all. The polish is much less blue and more purple (the most realistic color is the bottle picture at the top) and I noticed hints of pink flecks in it as well. The color is nice, but again not really unique. While I really love Misa, I think they dropped the ball on this collection. No worries, I'm sure they'll be back with a vengeance in a few months. 

Misa Spark My Interest Collection: Wink, Blink Let's Get a Drink

I also bought a couple polishes from the newest Misa collection called Spark My Interest. While I'm hating most of the names (man, why are they so long?!), I generally like the 2 polishes I got. Up first is Wink, Blink Let's Get a Drink (see what I mean!) which is a medium berry shimmer. I don't think it's the most unique polish, but you know what? I like pinks, and I love shimmers so I do enjoy this one. That said, if you are into crazy colors, this one is not for you. Lovely application and formula as usual. What do you think, is this pink for you?

Misa What I Like About You Collection: It's You

I honestly didn't hear much about the Misa What I Like About You collection. When did this one come out? Either way, I have to say that It's You is one of the few polishes I've been really excited about lately. It's a quite unique duochrome that has a charcoal base with a purple/pink and green shimmer. Make sure to click on the pictures to get a better look at this one. I am absolutely smitten over this polish and I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a unique color. As always, the application and formula was on par with other Misa polishes.

Misa Fall 2008 Poisoned Passion Collection: Toxic Seduction

We've got another oldie but a goodie from Misa. Again, you can find these at Transdesign, but I've never seen Misa in a store. Toxic Seduction is a beautiful green shimmer that has a hint of dustiness that makes me love it even more! I don't really have much more to say about this. I know there are lots of green lovers out there and I hope you are enjoying this one. Application was like all Misa polishes: very pigmented and smooth. Two thumbs up on this one.

Misa Dirty, Sexy, Money

I just love how Misa polishes apply. There, I said it! They are pretty much up there with Color Club polishes and the great thing is that they are both quite affordable. Dirty, Sexy, Money isn't new (it came out last year), but I just now got my hands on it (Transdesign finally got some of the older polishes that were out of stock back in stock-yay!). It's sort of hard to describe, but it's a dusty green creme that has some blue in it. Any way you look at it, I am absolutely in love with this polish! You guys know my feelings on dusty polishes! As always application and formula was phenomenal and only needed 2 coats. If you don't own this one, definitely pick it up. I've heard in passing that this one is similar to Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion, but I don't have it to compare. 

Misa Speed of Life

I admit, I don't own many Misa polishes. It's not because I don't like them, but they are really hard to come by. I don't think Transdesign is getting any new polishes of theirs either. It's really a shame because I always hear such great things about them. Orange is my husband's favorite color, so I just had to get this one. Speed of Life is a bright tangerine creme. When I say bright, I don't mean neon by any means. It is just a Creamsicle orange color. The application was extremely smooth and I was really impressed on that end. It wasn't the most pigmented color since it still needed 3 coats, but that's ok.

Cherry Glazed

I really don't own many Misa polishes and I'm really not sure why! I know lots of people are in love with this brand, but I just don't have many! Cherry Glazed is a bright red creme with some pink undertones. Application was slightly thin, but not problematic. The color was very pigmented and only needed 2 coats.

I received the China Glaze Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns collection and will be starting these tonight! I hope to have those up this week!
