OPI Holiday 2012 Skyfall Collection: Live and Let Die

OPI Live and Let Die (2 coats)

Hola! Is it just me, or is there usually about 1, maybe 2, of the OPI mini polishes in the mini sets that you like, and the other ones are just meh? When I looked at the Skyfall mini set at Ulta, I was so happy that I really wanted all 4 of them, which was a first for me. The one I probably wanted the most was Live and Let Die, which is a blackened green with green and gold shimmer. I love this polish so much! And isn't that the name of a Guns N Roses/Paul McCartney song? Just another reason to love it! The formula and application seemed fine, but with how tiny the bottle and brush is on the OPI mini polishes, it's really hard to tell. You know how it is.

The Paul McCartney song (GnR made a great cover version) was the title song of the movie, that's why they have the same name.

This one caught my eye as well. I really need to pick some of this collection up!

Aglaya, how did I not know that? Thanks for the information. A Polished Touch, I thought this collection was going to be blah, but I've been really happy with the 4 mini polishes I got.

I was excited for this one to come out from the description alone. When I got it, I was not as enthused. I like it but I wish it had a little less of the hidden green shimmer. I cannot see the shimmer in all light. That said, it's a good shade for me who cannot wear plain black cream - I reach for shades like this instead. And yes, like Aglaya said it's Paul's song he wrote for the Bond Movie of same name - was a huge hit for Paul. Now you have me wanting to go and look up what has been the biggest seller of all time of the Bond theme songs since they started doing them that is. I would not be surprised if it's this one - sure is the one that tops the list in my mind. But then Sir Paul continued to play/sing it live long after it left the charts and it became part of his mega lexicon of hits. I did not wait for the little bottles. Like you there are always some I don't really want in those - and then there seems to be one or two I love and am bummed when I run out so fast due to the little bottle size.

I know, that song is so good and I had no idea it was a Bond song! Did you happen to get my email, beachgal? I've been thinking of you lately.

Very pretty manicure! Definately one of my favourites in the collection.
